Back when the bot lane saw a huge influx of mage 'AD' carries taking up the role, I recall a Skill-Capped coach saying that in almost every single instance an AP based champion is going to lose any all in against an AD champion. First game I played after hearing that I was MF into Syndra bot and I told my support to just rush her Lv.1 and I was pretty taken aback at how hard we bodied her. It was one of the first instances where I noticed my over-emphasis on playing safe was hurting me. Pretty eye-opening.
