My maternal grandfather worked for Chef Boyardee in Milton, PA for around 30 years. He was born in Lithuania and loved that he could support his family with this job. Thanks for sharing your video with us! I just subscribed and look forward to more of your content.
@@azizcalva-navarro6170 I imagine my mom grew up eating a fair amount of this stuff. I used to eat it as a kid. Maybe I should pop open a can to honor my grandpa sometime 🥹
I should honor his memory with his canned ravioli or lasagna or beefaroni and a good Italian red wine, and maybe some Italian bread toasted, really etravagent, find cannoli!
I knew this story. I looked it up once to see if this was a real person or a marketing gimmick. Ettore Boiardi was a really good person who was willing to give up his business to protect the jobs of his employees. The saddest part of this story is that he had to bastardize his name to "Boyardee" because some ignorant Yankees couldn't pronounce a really simple Italian name "Boiardi". Very sad for Ettore and the United States education system.
