Congrats brother 👏👏 I also was/ at heart STILL am infantry 🤘🗡 US Army /Afghan war veteran too💪. And PROUD ✨LDS 🙏 convert to the church. Yet, in past anyways, my faith fluctuated severely many times..I drank much alcohol even as lds or "mormon" during military service.. Have been in plenty fights even as lds convert.. Just like my ancestors throughout book of mormon fought each other all the time. YES I consider myself NEPHITE just like another great infantryman soldier in the book of mormon, Captain Moroni, was/is... I'm lucky to be like close to HALF to what he was and still IS. Feels good and right. NOT that folks in book of mormon called Lamanites were all bad. Many became good too. Anyways I can level with this man who is as human as me and any other flawed person in or out of the church. Lds or not, ALL of you be safe and take care 👋😷

The struggle to quit addiction is very difficult, but a change heart can happen to anyone that allows themselves to not be co trolled by Satan and allow Christ to give ten added strength each day and that is a trie hero that can inspire the world to combat the wiles and firery dart of the devil. What a great powerful story.

I Wiz This GUY !! I too Converted !! 42 years ago !! I am still afraid of the “OLD ME” he bangs on my brain n wants out ! When people say or do things toward me or Family n Friends ! I Crenshaw n bite my tongue !! I am SO THANKFUL for the Church in my life ! I have been a member of 4 different Denominations! My Wife n I started meeting w/the Missionaries! BUT when I prayed about it w/real intent ! I GOT an ANSWER !! It WUZ clear n I knew I could not turn away ! I could NOT act like I did not believe ! We were Baptized!! I became a “NEW MAN” The GOSPEL is restored in my life ! “The CHURCH of JESUS CHRIST of LATTER DAY SAINTS “ is TRUE!! My Parents knew I WUZ NOT the “same person” They died years later knowing ,WHAT a CHANGE!! Dumbfounded n Disbelief!! I know what a change ! I will never apologize when questioned about the CHURCH ! When something like a lightning ⚡️ Bolt hits you ! It is WONDERFUL !! I challenge ANY person to take n read the Book of Mormon ! With real intent , asking HEAVENLY FATHER !! If it is not TRUE! Having the Missionaries wherever you want to meet them ! Listen w/an open mind ! Pray about what they share! GOD BLESS

Very, very annoying camera work, bordering on nausea. Also had no idea what was going on, who was Kennedy and how did Steve meet her. So an intro or some text explaining the background would be recommended.

Keep it real! There is too much of a "Norman Mormon" and "Molly Mormon" subculture in the membership of the church; folks trying to convince everyone in the ward that their lives and faith are so perfect. The reality is, we all have struggles and we're here to help one another. Be human. Be real. Thanks, Steve!

Hansen.....My mom was a Hansen from the Teton, ID area. I wonder if I am related to the Hansens in the movie. Although, my ancestor was Christian Hansen from Denmark who came to the U.S. in 1856 and settled in Brigham City UT. He had three wives and I come from the youngest wife who had 10 children. So, there are a lot of Hansens around.

What movie was it cuz there is no mentioned or story about that that ties this together. It seems to start after his introduction or something, like in the middle of the story. Anyone else see or hear more? I am glad Steve’s heart was touched by their daughter (Who I thought was a little girl) who had passed. The picture of her showed a young lady. Mom and dad don’t look that old. It’s missing all of that as well. Please add to this and shed light on this because the story of conversion isn’t really there and there’s no spiritual or emotional references and feelings because of that. It’s just more like matter factly, bits and pieces. I’m not trying to be rude, disrespectful or mean in anyway. I’m just wondering and asking if I’m the only one who’s wondering where the rest of it may be.
