How a meal took down a plane 

the reason flight food isn't good is because the higher up you are, the worse your mouth becomes at tasting, everything becomes way blander, primarly salt becomes extremely bland

So that’s the deal with airline food!

The thing about working in a kitchen and managers not wanting to send sick or injured staff home to protect them and the customers is unfortunately so very true in America. I used to work for a local donut shop, not a chain either like a family run business, before I quit I burnt my wrist to hell and back with the hot oil. It was a second degree burn that immediately bubbled up. I was in so much pain from it, and it was open on some spots but no one in the kitchen wanted me to go to the ER. They were dismissing my pain saying it wasn't that bad, when like 2 mins after it happened it started to get those weird fluid filled bubbles. I went to the ER, got it taken care of, but no body understood why I was so adamant about going. Imagine if the big blister would have popped from the movement of my wrist, burn juice all over the donuts. That wasn't my only burn from working there. I burnt my fingers my first week there, they took sometimes to bubble up, the night that they where gross and bubbled my mom who's a nurse popped them for me, my boss who was also a nurse was like "why did your mom pop them theyre gonna get infected you dont pop burb blisters." Which you don't because that can happen, at the time my mom worked for this donut company too, and our boss was the same lady, so she texted my mom and asked her why she would do that she knows better. And my mom was like "do you want to risk burn blister juice all over the donuts." It's crazy how little even small companies like that don't give a shit about their employees here. Like all my boss cared about with my second burn was if I filled workman's comp. Not if I was going to be okay, or if people got potentially sick from a risk of my burn blister popping.

I usually eat food after it's been sitting for 4-5 hours. But I also work in a restaurant kitchen. So it's not quite by choice: If we want a shift meal we have to cook it BEFORE we're closed. Closing then takes about 2 hours. 30 min to get home. Another 30 for a shower. And then finally 30 min - 1hr to make sure everything's at the house that I need immediately done for the day, IS done. THEN I can usually eat.

I don't know about having spicy food on a flight either! I would avoid having a salad, get some prepackaged chips ("crisps"), crackers, &/or granola bars from the airport. Also, pick up some antibacterial hand wipes, surface wipes, & some LIQUID antidiarrheal before the flight.

I always heavily smell my food whenever I'm eating something which was cooked by someone else or came from the fridge.

2:25. I am not old, but I cannot sleep sitting up. I flew London -> Adelaide via Hong Kong. 26 Hours I think it was? I didn't sleep once, and I am also not one to watch movies. That was the worst 2 days (return flight as well) of my life. The three weeks in Aussie was worth it though.

I've never had an omelette, I've eaten taco bell that's sat out for two days and question it because of the cheese but it's fine. I couldn't even imagine the chaos this must've been if I didn't hear it. Also, I always ask for no ice in places because ice machines are diiiirty so that last thing was a good call.

16:54 Japan Work Culture is EXTREMELY toxic. Like, you make one mistake. And boom, you off. That’s why many Japanese workers commit suicide and some of them don’t have families because of work. While the US has sick days, paid time off, and other things that make working at least somewhat bearable. Japan has NONE of that. As of recent Japan’s workforce has been trying to get better hours and time off to relax and spend time with family.
