For all who wanted to know. It's a 4 step process. 1. Stare at it oddly and make noises. 2. Attack it and make noises. 3. Scatter it all over the floor and make noises. 4. Eat.
Minpins are the best. They are filled with personality. Tough and bold. This lil one reminds me of my minpin. I had him for eight years. He died due to respiratory issues. I miss him a lot.
I have a 16 week old Chihuahua and Mini Pinscher mix and she does the same thing! Is that a thing for real?! I just thought maybe she doesn't like the food or something
My Chipin and I have a weird routine when i give him a snack. He will take a milkbone, set it down and bark at it for a minute, then he looks back at me to dare me to come take it. I have to play along and try to steal his snack, THEN he will start eating it. I guess it tastes better when someone tries to take it LOL I love that lil weirdo
@@danhershberger9237 It's probably more due to the fact that they are ratdogs and hunt their food. Spread it out, chase it around and go for the grab.😉😂
I am sorry for your loss I know how you feel. Today I am heartbroken I put mine down he was suffering to old age 17 years old he was my best friend and companion. Its only been three hours and I miss him a lot
My min pin gobbles his fresh lightly cooked liver or hamburger or makeral like a hog! He is very healthy and also gets probiotics such as fermented coconut cream, ghee, lard and coconut oil.You pet owners that feed dry crap food need to get your heads on straight!! Also I feed steamed pasture raised egg every day. Cat and dog loves it!!! I swear, my old cat has grown and filled in much after getting him on the egg.
My min pin does this too. Just without the barking. He takes some food out of his bowl, he drops it a few feet away, wanders off for a second, and then comes and eats it.
It’s funny. One of mine ate similar to that way. She would like to take a mouthful and put it on the floor. Then eat one kibble at a time. Her sister was different and would eat the entire bowl in one minute.
When my min pin wants to eat I tell him to bring me his bowl and he does, when he wants a treat I tell him to twist and he spins in circles then sits. He also drops his food like yours. Love min pins!!
My Min Pin does something similar - she puts a piece in her mouth which then throws out. Repeats that procedure a couple of times, then starts eating those on the ground and later starts eating from the bowl =) =)
Mines does this 1. Take one piece and throw it somewhere on the floor 2. Take another piece and take it to the carpet ( for some reason he does it at the exact same spot every time) drop it on the carpet then eat it 3. Repeat step 2 about 3 times 4. Start eating from the bowl
I think my 2 month old mini pin is, psyco Named him Vampirito (Mini Vampire) Vampirito is a substitute name Mex people use for Bats, learned his name in one day lol. Learned to sit on first lesson.
I'm disabled too slow but he motivates me to keep moving at 55 yrs old I tell myselfe maybe I needed another breed but then I go nehhhhhhhh he keeps me on my Toes. Lol
Thought I had a Chihuahua puppy but it's turning out to seem more n more like a min pin... 🤔 he takes a piece and runs off eats it then gets another it's so funny 😂 I love him and so does my female Chihuahua
my min pin skips all these steps and just inhales it...he can be messy and get it on the floor sometimes but mainly he just eats as fast as possible - he had alot of siblings and was the smallest i think thats a factor...even four years later
My Min Pin Casey would ATTACK min pin Charley at mealtimes. I separated them, I staggered meal times, I tried what I could. Once they fought it was over, but once angered, they had to fight. It was not good.
Hmmm I guess my Min Pin missed the memo on the process; She just waits for me to put the food in the bowl, and then she devours it. Had to get her one of those puzzle-lookin bowls to get her to slow down. She has the habit of swallowing stuff before she chews it all the way :/ Edit: There's also no way I could leave that much food out for my dog, because she doesn't stop eating until there's nothing left to eat. She once ate a whole hot dog before I could stop her, proceeded to throw the hot dog up because it was too much food to fit in her stomach, but then tried to eat it again, but I cleaned it up before she could. I guess when it comes to Min Pins you either get a pig, or you get what your dog does lol.
your min pin sounds like mine!! we have to make sure all food is securely away when we leave because if he gets into any food, he WONT stop eating till its gone (and he can open zipped up bags and containers and cupboards so its hard) lol.
I have chipins but it's the same eating Behavior one piece put it down two pieces put it in the mouth put it down eat 1 put it back down eat one put it back down
Mine def doesn’t. He attacks his food and eats it all. He never plays with his food. Your may not like the food. Finally only eats it because that’s what’s there.
