Wow what an intellectual African Gem from Zimbabwe you met there. That Brotha is an amazing, positive and resilient son of Africa very impressive and intelligent mind 🙌😎👍
as a zimbabwean i can recognize my people through the way they speak english bro the probability of u being zimbabwean is 100% good to hear that all is well over there
When it's become too dark you must know that the sunrise is approaching the story of this Zimbabwean man who reminds us about that say, from running away from his home country and sleeping in the street in a foreign land look where he is now he has made the whole continent proud. Thank you African Tigress for bringing this brilliant mind to us.
We Zimbabweans will always find our way. Starting in a new place is not easy and being away from family and friends is tough but we have no choice. Well done Shamwari for making your way in Hong Kong, starting with $25 and being homeless, such an inspiration. I'm sure you light up the lives of many people.
Well done Innocent Mutanga. It takes a lot of guts going to a foreign country and starting up something that helps others. Wish you more success in your endeavors. Thank you African Tigress for bringing us such an inspiring story from our Zim brother.
An amazing young man, he is possibly holding back some of the more humiliating experiences he had to endure. My heart goes out to him but happy he survived and thrived . I am not rich but always give a little money to people who are begging but I noticed here in America and even in my home country begging is a racket and very lucrative. Now I stopped giving because I have been conned so much; so the good suffer for the bad-meaning the truly needy gets punished. I am happy that you have met a good person to help get acquainted with country and culture. Keep bringing more informative content.
Wow this is touching and educating too l love my fellow Zimbos l always tell people that we survive anywhere under the sun...He went through thick and thin this is the definition of from grass to grace...I am so proud of him and his Kenyan friend Africa to the world One love Africa..Thank you so much AT for sharing this one its very deep...Chine nharo chibaba enough respect to him..Those who think/say they went through hell in life growing should ask lnnocent.💪💪💪👊👊👊✊️✊️✊️😌😌😌💔💔💔💘💘💘🙏
Very multilayered experience with consistent effort to overcome challenges. What a story! That experience gave you an insight and bird's eye view on the plight of others. Thank you for purposeful solutions.
You are a great and unique content creator. Never loose your originality. This guest was brilliant and a revolutionary. Changing the world's perspective of Africa outside Africa.
To think that I used to share a bed with you, I have to say there is no day you don't make your family proud. I always aspired to be like you, somehow I didn't understand the fact that people have different paths. I'm a little older now and I understand that now. It has always been your drive to be different and stand up for what is right. If only many more young Zimbabweans were in tune as you are, we would definitely be in a better place. Its sad because I never really knew of your struggle in Hong Kong up until now. I am happy that you have finally found your ground, congratulations on your new found success. The things we never thought possible you did them, you finally flew your mom to Hong Kong, and that is very inspiring to me. You will always be someone I look up to. Love you bro.
Loving the conversation. Great interviewing skills ,Tigress. I love how the gentleman equates the poor perception of Africa to a mere branding issue. Makes so much sense!
This was an extremely inspiring video. Through his hardship and struggles he succeeds. The concept of acculturation as a means of not only educating the Chinese populous but others as well is in my opinion, brilliant!
Well Hong Kong is for so long an international financial city managed by the British, so the people there somehow accustomed to other nationality and it's different in Mainland China and other parts of Asia.
African Tigress: I watched your remarkable Hong Kong, China video this morning today’s @ home this young man taking you some great places in Hong Kong in February of 2023❤❤❤❤
This was a beautiful interview. This guy is a survivor. He believed in himself and the African perspective. I think more Africans from the continent should take the responsibility of ensuring that Africans from the diaspora are enlightened about the continent. We do not know enough about Africa. Those on the continent should see it as their responsibility to enlighten us. Start with the islands and it will spread to the developed countries eventually.
Mr. Innocent is very inspiring and intelligent. He tries to strengthen the solidarity bridge between Asia and Africa. The two sides of the world have a lot to learn from each other. Eastt Asia can learn how to build strong regional identity and solidarity from African nations. On the other hand, Africa can learn strong intra-regional economic ties among East Asian states..
Kudos to my Zim brother. It is not where you start but where you end. Lots of nuggets that kids can learn from Innocent. Resilience, perserverance and the can do attitude. Lost his father, arrived in a foreign country with $25 but never gave up. While i would not wish homelessness on anyone, it still does not define one and he still overcame it. The fact that he could arrange to sit in classes for two years while not registered and paying, even those Professors were impressed. As they say, where there is a will there is a way. Used his math background to win a case meant for business students and landed an investment banking job which is not easy to do for anyone anywhere in the world. Lastly for the Swahili speakers he said tichaonana which means we will see each other again similar to taonana kesho as my Swahili friends would say. I see a lot of similar words in Swahili and Shona just shows you that we indeed are the same people in Sub Saharan Africa. Lastly I hope Innocent has a book or two from Dambudzo Marechera one of our foremost literary greats from Zim who died very young.
Thanks my brother for changing the narrative of Africa u must start a traveling agent, our time is now Africa is richer more blessed than any other continent in the world 🌍
Woooooow very inspiring and insightful. Thank you for being the voice in this initiative to rebrand ourselves as Africans.Proud of you my fellow Zimbabwean 🇿🇼
Woooow, very interesting conversation. What an experience he had, but he was very ambitious to improve his condition. He’s a strong and courageous guy.
What never kills us makes us strong. No matter how much we suffer I will never trade being Zimbabwean for anything else in the world. Ndakakura ndichifudza mombe nemadhongi ndichinwisa mombe mvura muna Save. That was more beautiful.
Thank you our African tigress.Thank you my fellow countryman.your story relates to our experiences when we came to s.a. Open a TRAVEL AGENT.l believe that will help you raise more revenue to finance your other projects.
Intellectually astute. His mind is a gem and this brother makes me proud to be an African. Thank you sir, your ancestors are indeed proud of you. Keep up the good work.
Watching from 🇿🇼. Wow! Yu doing great things man, keep at it. Thank yu very much AT for showing us this side of Asia, personally I had no idea how people live over there, worse I ddnt even know there was a country by the name Laos.
As an african i always try to sell my identity with with great value knowing that my identity is priceless, as a matter of this gentle made my day .From how he persevered to get himself to this level and the reality is that this is his stepping block i think he will soar so high that generations will remember. To you my dearest African tigress originality pays keep up the good job i would have mistaken you for a CNN journalist. Keep up the good job african stories needs to start telling thier stories. #thelionhaslearnedtotalkthehuntermustrunintohiding #experienceafricans
Sad story.....African talents flourishing in exile.....at what cost to the continent? Our backward, insular leaders have no television. Africa is the richest continent in terms of natural resources, yet it is the poorest continent on the planet.
The way this guy is so broad in knowledge i would enjoy conversations with time from maths and science to tech to history to politics to social issues to economics ... etc etc.... ...wow I enjoyed this ... very smart.. he is still gonna go very far.. watch the space... I knkw his type.. trust me I know... ..
He’s got an amazing survival story. I love what he’s doing and how he’s educating people on Africa, but he’s also showing people that black people are also amazing humans and we should not be judged by skin colour. He’s 💯 % right about the European/American experience, it’s at its end and there’s a shift taking place. Smart guy.
As a Kenyan who studied in Amritsar City, ( Which is the home city of the Sikhism) in Punjab India, I can attest to the fact that every Sikh Temple (Gurdwara) serve free food ( langar). They serve the food to anyone who is hungry and completely free of charge. This is also the case here in the UK where I live now.
I love your stories. About your journey it would be a wonderful experience, and a great for Jamaican for you to go to JAMAICA to do some of the things that you are doing hong Kong, because we Jamaican doesn't know very much about our Roots Africa. I'm A Jamaican lived in the uk.
Wonderful inspiration and achievement. Well done for showcasing Africa beauty intelligence in Science, Arts and Culture. Above all peace and love for one another irrespective of their location worldwide. Keep up going great with natural resilience to achieve at any heights of life. 👍👏🤓💝🌟🤴💯
We are not jelous of them they came looking down on us telling that we are lazy, uneducated it began there when we retaliated it became sour again there was a sense of entitlement because they helped us during apartheid it began like that now many of you are starting to respect but first impression goes a long way there is no turning back.
@@thembimaseko9600 turning back for what shame .listen your name thembi maseko sounds Zimbabwe or you Zulu remember in Zimbabwe there lot of people like your name .but your problem you think you own south Africa and you old minister of home affairs
I think you misunderstand the word jelous if you are a guest in someone house you behave and you go there correctly not to come and deliver babies, use fake documents, even change your name and surname do you call it brilliant in South Africa many of you are a disappointment. Mandela allowed them to take I D discovered they were not using their names, others are hard criminals. Invite them in big numbers you will be sorry. Yes we are sharing names and surname because Mzilikazi Khumalo ran away with his followers to Rhodesia we love them not criminals.
It's great to see him making friends with Chinese and Chinese students. He able to escape poverty, find a job, understand Chinese language. He understood how trade business works. Most Africans living Hong Kong understood the word N-Word (那个) in Hong Kong. They will tell you that Chinese N-word does not mean English N-word. Racism, color, etc. It sounds same. N-Word (那个) means "this one" or selective object -- special needs for business, school, idea, food, etc. "I gonna have this one " in Chinese. Chinese seller will give you item or needs. You know the movie rush hour. Jackie chan said what up my this one. He didn't really mean n word.
