Russia used a cheap Su-27 and actually damaged their own aircraft trying to harass an MQ-9. The F-22 is much more expensive to repair by doing stupid stunts. Meanwhile, the US operates with professionalism compared to Russia, so they chose to to properly shoot it down instead. Also, some general wanted to use this as a PR move to flex on China with a fancy F-22. They chose the AIM-9X in order to shoot down the balloon because firing the 20mm cannon would destroy the target, and whatever was beyond the target, including civilians on the ground. A missile would bring it down in a controlled manner, minimizing collateral damage, so it’s not really as big of a deal as you think it is.

What else are they gonna use? A giant sling shot!?!?!

This channel may be getting strikes or other types of Censorship bc its not putting out the type of content they prefer. I know the pro Ukrainian channels do not face the type of Censorship that independent channels experience. My point is, there may be things going on behind the scenes we dont know about that affects the content we see.
