So he should not have then gone on to perform the surgery on actual humans. These medical trials are also important to science. Yep. I’ve been married to an extremely abusive doctor for years. Finally, 4 years ago, he lost his license to practice due to illegal activities involving narcotics and prescription fraud. Since he lost his job, he ended up moving back into my guest room. I’m devastated and my life is a living hell. I’m disabled, so moving is next to impossible for me. So it’s not all fairytales to be married to a doctor. They r up at the top of abusers of their partners.

The brain likes to fill in the holes especially after strong impressions.
She had to be attracted to His Fantasy of achievement, fame, and wealth. She saw numerous red flags but still "forged" forward to live out this fantasy... which became hers too.

Agree to a point. Before you uproot your child to move to another country, you should visit the home you plan to live in. Why was she ok with him making all the wedding arrangements? And why was she willing to marry him after his patient died and his colleagues suspected him? She has clues and hunches to follow up on but she ignored it. Whether it’s because he love bombed her or not, other peoples lives were endangered by him (her daughter, his patients, etc) and she didn’t act responsibly.

Worst thing: Karolinska has an institute for research and education, but they also have University Hospitals. Big hospitals that covers a huge part of Stockholm. It's not very reassuring to go there with the knowledge that The Ethic Committee kept supporting and defending him for a long time (years) after he was exposed and people had died. Due to my area code I belong to one of their hospitals. I hope I won't be in an accident where surgery is required. Who knows what the Ethic Committee has approved...

I just watched the documentary on Netflix, at one point I had to pause it cuz it made me physically sick when they showed the victims and I imagined what they were going through. Made me nauseous. There is a very dark and low level of hell do that guy. The fact he isn’t serving life makes me sick. The fact he almost ended up with no prison time is hard to even accept. The lying to the women was bad but lots of men and women have lied and manipulated like that, but the killing of the patients is some dark twisted sht.
I am not sure but it had something to do with patients signing a waiver before their surgery. Also, I read somewhere that the people that came to see him pretty much on their way out and they were willing to try anything. He operated more than just those shown on netfilx and not all died.

Also, why would a gifted surgeon travel from one hospital to another to do a rare operation?
