Piotr Foot Yes. Wow, it was a great idea to see an individual analysis and was really helpful. I would like to see more videos like this since it would show different elements of players we have not noticed before. I really enjoyed watching this video. Great work bro and keep up the good work. You're our legend :)
He is underrated, definitely one of the very best striker in the world, yes he misses some, but he created himself more chances then any other striker, and added to that he is always here in big matches
By now every defender in Europe knows how Cavani plays as no. 9, and still he scores in almost every single game (69 goals in 67 matches) If you pay attention to the videos you will see that, like all the greatest strikers in history, he's simply unstoppable. If he misses, he misses on his own terms and not because a defender has worked on him. Thank you for the very good analysis, Piotr.
Can you make a comparison between two complete different types of striker? Lukaku (BIG) vs Griezman (SMALL) JUST TO SEE HOW S.O. CAN OPTIMIZE HIS RESOURCES
Great video dude. I am a parisian fan and watching evey PSG matches. What it is also impressive with Cavani is the way he defends. For example he scored a goal this season where he "stole" the ball in the PSG area near the goal keeper, passed the ball ran and scored it. He is a nightmare to defend. And his humility is impressive: with Zlatan he was not at his favourite position, when Neymar arrived he was no longer the "main guy" of the team. But he always supported and respected the club. And he is always figthing for it: when we lost in Camp Nou one of the only fighter, again OM (our ennemies) he scored with a free kick after Neymar got kicked off... The kind of player everybody would love to have in his team.
Excellent analysis. Cavani has been criticised for his poor finishing at crucial moments of important matches, but his movement as a striker and ability to track back and help his defence more than makes up for it. One of my favourite strikers and he and PSG have been an absolute joy to watch this season.
Does being often repeated makes an argument valid ? Magical pass from Kurawa who receives a big shit load of hate at the moment. He isn't the best lb, he was overhyped back then but he is now criticized for few other reasons than being "from the ghetto".
As a Uruguayan I agree with you. He's a much better player than suarez. He has a lot more depth and intelligence yet not as popular with people who don't understand football and what makes a top footballer
Current Cavani statistics from the whole career: 401 goals in 693 matches (club + team). 0.58 goals per match, absolutely crazy. One of the best strikers of his generation and the 21st century. Amazing video, Piotr Foot! :)
Omg you listened to my request on one of the last videos about striker analysis! If it wasnt the best channel only because of the music, it is now Officially best analysis channel hands down!
Performs in big matches. Great heading, and chances chances chances. So he fudges some finishing? So what? He gets twice as many strikes as his counterpart on the pitch, any coach can see the big picture in that. He's the kind of striker every team should want.
I remember first noticing his great movement years ago, on a corner kick. Made a fake run, then backed off back into the space he had created for a free header. I wish the folks I play pickup with understood this: don't pass to the guy who is covered; pass to the guy who is open *because* of the run of the guy who is covered.
Brilliant job mate! I had missed the live broadcast of the last goal here, where he defends to retrieve the ball and then runs to score, so huge thanks! I remember him missing a similar opportunity last year or so, and could not understand the negative comments from the French media, who I think are a bit tough on him. That said, I am partial, being Uruguayan, but your analysis here is worth every second of it even for objective football fans...merci! Pas besoin de marquer tout le temps, mais marquer quand il faut, ça aussi il sait le faire!
It's such a blessing to be alive in this moment and see him playing for Uruguay alongside Suarez, Godin and back in the day with Forlán... I'll never forget when Uruguay won Copa América 2011, what a joy they gave to our people! And even if we didn't won in 2010 what a great World Cup that was for Uruguay, I remember about the game against Ghana and still get emotional about it. Now I dream of seeing them champions once more but in Brazil in a couple of months, and I think the team is in a great moment right now so I'm hopeful😊
Thanks for the great content you bring Piotr, such a pleasure. I've always admired the way Cavani runs throught all defenses and is able to create opportunities thanks to his clever moves. As you've shown, his positional sense is a threat for the opponents like his ability in the air. His work rate also is a great asset for us, he's got the same commitment in every games; Barcelona or Amiens, it doesn't matter we know he will give 100%. I love his grinta and how he shares emotions with us. I'm pretty sure Palermo and Napoli's fans keep following him since he's so professional and respectful of everyone. Can't wait to see him become the best goalscorer of PSG
Novak Vukovic agree he is so underated he have negative look when he have a problem with Neymar off course, people is on Neymar side. That make everything looks bad for Cavani.
Awesome vid! TBH it's only after watching this I realised that Cavani is a really great player. And yeah individual analysis is very interesting, specially of underrated/criticised players who are actually good... You know Busquets and all. Thanks for the analysis btw :)
i was actually making one myself causei think Cavani's movements and runs are the best example for any future centre-forward.PERFECt video!! AMAZINg! thank you
He is by far my favourite player! You know I used to think that I know his style and tbh it helped me a lot in my games but after watching this video I think I don't even know the half of his ability and I still have many things to learn from him so thanks!!!!
Piotr Foot thank you instead. Could I suggest an analysis for an attacking midfielder like Kaká, Zidane, Rui Costa or Hazard? And a fast winger like Cristiano, Ronaldinho, Messi, or Alexis Sánchez? I think those would make for excellent analyses as well!
This was excellent, I knew his goal-scoring belonged in an elite class, but I didn't realize how tactical his game was. He's respected, yet underrated.
These are some seriously quality videos. And the use of the small footnotes like "Sorry for poor video quality" really shows how much you care about your videos. Everything is straight to the point and concise. Excellent analysis.
Great analysis. And the music and titles were perfect for it. He is a great footballer, that run and head back across into goal against Celtic was world class.
Thanks for this. I never have a chance to watch his games, just see highlights when he misses so many chances, was wondering why he is often a top scorer....this makes it clear. This will help me play futsal too.
actually what u depict can be shown in many great urugayens strikers, he is the essence of the attacking style of this country, and on many aspects, u ll find same placement techniques in Suarez's football. Great video, thx
The most hardworking striker n undeniably the best if not one of the best No9 of 21century. The way how he moves inside the D-box is very impressive, smart n very tactical n nt to forget his conditioning is amazing. He is one player who has been performing very consistently for the past 7 yrs or more... But it's sad that very often he is criticized n underrated by the media....
Piotr this was really good, I mean it. And btw don't say sorry, I liked a lot those "poor quality videos", they were from a different perspective (a cam from the stand) and to me they were more real. Thanks, subscribed!
I am a striker and I learnt so much. I wrote a lot of notes from this and I will do these smart runs in my matches. Thank you so much! I like the individual analysis of players btw
Cavani is really good I understand, but u ppl are are forgetting about how good the analysis was most of you wouldn't even notice these little details if this video wasn't up. Thanks man for this video I'm sure it helped a lot of people out and I'm sure it will help me.
Piotr Foot! Your analysis videos are exceptionally good. I enjoy them man. Please keep making as many as you can. Brilliant compilation and insight. Love your work
Really good video....will show it to my 14 year old son. He's doing good as it is he has 18 goals in 8 games for NPL here in California. But with these types of videos he can take it to the next level. Keep it up👍👍👍
"Cavani can find space in a relatively crowded area. Guess where you think the ball will go, attack that space before the pass/cross is made and if the ball goes in that area, you’ve got a great chance to score. Surprising how few strikers get it." Gary Lineker.
Nice vid bro, can you make a video on how Cavani defends up top or basically striker analysis on defending? For example, when the ball is being passed by the defenders an analysis video on that would be helpful.
A lot of this is only possible because of the amazing teammates he has 👌 I really love Cavani he’s an amazing top class striker I don’t understand why people don’t rate him so highly ? He’s amazing
