Ever wonder how a two step and a transbrake works? Well, you are in luck! In this video, I go over how an MSD two step works in conjunction with a transbrake. Last fall I installed one on my Weiand tunnel ram fed 521 cubic inch big block Ford powered 1968 Ford Thunderbird. Fast forward to this spring, well my friend John from @coperacingtrans helped me build a stout C6 transmission with a @BroaderPerformance transbrake. Combine these two go-fast goodies with an MSD pro billet distributor and a 6AL ignition, a Hurst shifter, and a 9 inch center section with a spool and 4.86 gears, pure magic!
For a heavy car, this thing is truly a "heavy hitter" streetcar that gets driven on the street and occasionally hits the dragstrip. Having the option to hit that button and have a clean crisp launch is a ton of fun and I can't wait to try the new combination out drag racing on a sticky track. Doing burnouts in "Cuba" is fun, but I want a really hard wheels up launch! Most of these parts I purchased through Holley, I will include product links below. I hope you enjoyed this video, much more to come on this unique somewhat of a muscle car!
