really liked that. Just with the last comment "that would be the story for Wrestlemania 39" you got me wanting a "How Adam would Book Mania 38 to 39. Like one whole "Season" of this would be great to listen to i think.
Oh, my. Thanks for the great idea. You helped me find what I'm gonna do next 2-3 days at work, thank you, mate. You are awesome. Not as much as Adam is, but still awesome nonetheless. Just he is one of the best things in wrestling ever. One love ❤️
One detail I think a lot of people didn’t realise is that Brock actually pointed to the ceiling with one finger when he won his first WWE championship against the Rock at Summerslam 2002. So Roman’s pose can actually be from Brock’s unintentional pose, so him retiring Brock and doing the pose is actually neat.
Except...he didnt call it AT ALL. How he said Cody would come out is just how Cody ALWAYS comes out. And there was no "double" RKO. Riddle hit one and then Randy hit one later.
@@petebagwell6666 But they've done that spot MULTIPLE times since Summerslam, so that wasn't hard to predict they'd do it again. Plus he said that Bianca countered it, because she was ready for Becky. Well what actually happened was Bianca countered it, Becky countered her counter, and then hit her with the Manhandle slam anyway, which was a better start to the match than he had.
@@KoolKeithProductions well I don't watch aew so I didn't know that. And The RKO spots were back to back, yes they weren't simultaneous but close enough. I enjoyed it, I enjoyed this video, let us have our fun You don't have to be fully correct all the time you know
I'd honestly change some stuff: -Finn coming out as The Demon could be a nice way of protecting Priest in defeat. -Not ready for Brock to retire just yet, there are a couple of matches that I want to see him in still: Brock vs Riddle, Brock vs Cody, Brock vs Edge, Brock vs Sheamus (could do it at one of the Saudi shows), Brock vs Big E, Brock vs KO (which could be his retirement match at WM39)... -I'd honestly just have an Austin and KO full out brawl, like Rikishi vs Austin in 2000. You could make it an Unsanctioned match for Austin to not officially come out of retirement. -Rock returns to come face to face with Roman should end WM38. AJ coming face to face with Roman should end the RAW after WM, and Cody Rhodes coming face to face with Roman Reigns should end the Smackdown after WM. Establish these matches.
@@errole nah he’s gonna do the undertaker type retirement put some people he thinks are worthy over and probably win his last match in a beast style match at wrestlemania
Beast slayer and king slayer reunion with seth eventually turning face on roman to fight for the title at summerslam? Roman wins of course but kingslayer vs beastslayer remminds me of best vs the beast for the title at summerslam
@@loganwagler7997 I'd say the person who topples Roman could be: AJ Styles, after WINNING HIS MATCH AT WM 38, PLEASE WWE. Cody, due to a rocket push after his WM 38 return. Drew, after beating Baron Corbin decisively at WM 38. Or, and this is what I want, Sheamus. Sheamus would go on a winning streak after breaking up his group with Ridge "Neckbreaker" Holland and Pete Dunne. Then, after beating someone in a Number 1 Contender's match, at TLC 2023 wins the Universal Title off of Roman, since Roman would've already lost the WWE Title to Cody, AJ, or Drew.
@@BleakwoodProductions Then After, Drew, AJ, and Cody get in to a 3-way feud over the WWE Title, culminating in a triple threat elimantion match for the gold at Summerslam. Use this match to Cement Cody as a top draw, having him pin Drew. Then Drew goes back to NXT (Bare with me here) and has a hoss battle of the ages with Bron Breakker. AJ announces that he wants to do something he hasn't done in his entire career. Win the Royal Rumble. In short: He does. For Sheamus as Universal Champion? Have him face Ridge Holland for it, beat him (to the midcard with you) then have him drop it to Pete Dunne at Summerslam. Pete has a dominant run, ultimately dropping it at mania to AJ Styles.
I would love to see Adam book somewhat further in advance, with more room to make decisions and change the build up. This was great and restriction guides creativity, but it also felt like he was too constrained by so many matches already announced and I would've liked to see what he'd do differently.
They can have Michael Cole say something like "Austin Theory has sold his soul to Satan himself" as a callback. I think cheesy/obvious references have their place. And this is one.
I really enjoyed the video. I just wonder how booking Roman so strongly for so long will impact things moving forward. If they ever do Roman vs Rock you know that's only being done to put Roman over.
He loses the belt around SummerSlam, But that’s where The Rock comes in, he comes out hits a rock bottom after the match. They have a half a year long feud until WrestleMania 39: Hollywood, No belt on the line, just one on one battle of the bloodline, bcuz if the belt was on the line everyone will know Roman is winning, But if there’s no belt on the line, then there’s a chance of The Rocks upset win. And it can happen since the brand split is coming to an end if not already.
As much as I love Roman's title reign, I can't stand the idea of him holding the championship for another year. Lets be honest, whoever ends that reign, won't be on Roman's level and his matches (while great) have become too predictable especially going up against legends such as Edge, Cena and Goldberg. I hope by Summerslam, they will have built up a credible babyface challenger to take the belt off Roman and he can come back around Rumble season and challenge the Rock.
Only worthy person I can think of is Cody Rhodes if he returns. Seth Rollins was the perfect choice from the existing roster but they messed that opportunity up bad
Give up with The Rock there’s been more than enough opportunities for him to come back hes clearly either too busy or not that interested in wrestling again.
My predictions (in no particular order): - Bianca Belair - Nakamura and Boogs - The Mysterios - The New Day - Drew McIntyre - Cody Rhodes (if he shows) - Ronda Rousey - AJ Styles - Johnny Knoxville - Bobby Lashley - RK-Bro - Sasha Banks and Naomi aka Boss Glow - Austin Theory - Roman Reigns
I only disagree with the retirement part. Rock needs to come out and it starts the road to mania 39 between Reigns and Rock. But if Lesnar is to retire, they need him to face Riddle so they can get that out of the way and he needs to WALTER and WALTER should be the one to retire Brock Lesnar and it makes him the guy who later takes the belt from Reigns.
Rock could be the night after or even in the build up for next years Wrestlemania so we arent just repeating Rock and Cena again but Lesnar also doesnt seem to have any interest in Riddle, don't know about Walter but if Lesnar wanted it, he'd most llkely get it
1. To quote Doctor Doom from the 2005 Fantastic Four movie: *"This is gonna be fun!"* 2. *Skip to 2::22* 3. Props to Adam for doing the WrestleMania rap. Classic! 4. 7:15-7:19 *Wasn't bleeped out!*
I like a LOT of these fantasy bookings… I’d love to see a short companion video after ‘Mania where he compares the actual results to his own booking and how it does or doesn’t make sense moving forward Like if the Mysterio’s lose but there is no in-screen fallout, does Adam see that as putting the boredom/repetitive nail in the Rey/Dom dynamic… If Tamina (there’s nobody meana) and Doudrop are randomly inserted into the now “For F’s sake 5-way” tag match and win, does that officially kill the tag titles… I 1,000,000% **LOVE** the entire Seth/KO/Austin booking as well as the day 2 aftermath leading to what is ~HOPEFULLY~ Seth/Cody, but we’ll have to see if Cody is indeed back or if things were never finalized to begin with in terms of a Cody return
Thanks, I've never quite understood what Ronda's armbar is supposed to be either, and I'm a brazilian jiu jitsu purple belt. One thing I can tell you is it's not an armbar. A straight armbar is supposed to hyperextend your elbow. And I understand not wanting to use it that as a finisher, since it's hard to sell a crowd that has now seen 20 plus years of armbars in MMA on a worked armbar unless you're Zack Sabre Jr., but that weird thing Ronda does is even worse. I don't know if she wants to sold me on that being an inverted kimura of some sort, but it sure as hell isn't an Armbar.
I think that's more to protect the women. If they have to sell the move and are moving around, they could legit break their arm, putting them out of work for months. The smart move is to adjust it. I think the better solution is to stop having the cameras capture the move from that angle. Preserve the feel of a real fight. This ain't gotta be rocket science you know?
I’d like to see Adam book the future of the title reign of Roman. Now he has both belts and wwe has no idea what to do with him. I like the idea of Roman having “acknowledgement matches” basically an I quit match but only ends when one superstar says “I acknowledge you” it would just make his character even more dominant I think.
I’d personally love to see how Adam would tackle Cena’s first world title run. It was the thing that soured many people on him as to that point he was a mega-popular upper midcarder who people were excited to see move to the main event, and it was over the course of this run that the groundwork of the worst Cena years and his toxic relationship with the crowd was built. He’s done something similar with the “Roman after Shield Breakup” booking and I think it would be interesting to see how he’d look to solve the problem- especially since I don’t think he’d go the easy route of a heel turn.
In honor of the winner of the main event, I will say to you, Adam... This wasn't a bad booking video. This wasn't a good booking video. This was THE booking video. (No but really, great work as always)
Here after 'Mania and Bravo Adam. You actually did some bang on predictions here. Even when you didn't know about Seth, you still booked it. Most impressive to me was the opening of Becky vs Belair, while reality was different its the same gambit of harkening back to SummerSlam.
Given how W38 is underwhelmingly built, with its usual hasty style of booking match cards, you can really tell how Adam really did his best to make sense of the cards he's dealt with.
I'm late, but didn't got the notification on time. Whatever. I can still watch Adam being the best booker there is, the best booker there was and the best booker there ever will be. Thanks for another great video, Plumpy. I love ya. And I'm again gonna say that I'll love to see you rebook the original NWO, please. If I had the money, I would sub to your Patreon and ask you there. But whatever your next booking video is, I know it will rule, cuz they always do. One love ❤️
Great stuff. Only disagreement I have is the McIntyre/Corbin match: Corbin tried to break Drew's neck & end his career. A seconds-long match doesn't cut it: Drew needs to get as close to manslaughter as possible (without actually decapitating him with his sword). Then we can end this feud, end the Happy Corbin experiment, end the Madcap Moss humiliation, & all three men can go off to better things.
Xavier as intercontinental champ and dedicating it to Big E is brilliant. Woods is the perfect guy to make the IC title interesting. I’d actually watch a Woods IC title run.
The pest parts of Mania weekend is a new "How Adam Would Book..." and literally all of the non-WWE events over the weekend. GCW and the return of RoH in the same weekend? I'll have 20.
Please make this booking happen. Like, I know there isn't an Intercontinental or US title matches, but the rest, please. Or even just the final match - Roman and Brock. Please make it happen like Adam said. It will be great. It will be the best thing that could happen. But I really think that if it was gonna go like that it would have been a career Vs title match, cuz it's WWE. Not that this is a bad thing, but Brock retiring now, without anyone saying anything beforehand, would be great. Like, this could make Roman look even better, because the ended the Beast, who didn't really thought about retiring, but was made to. Just in the ring, not by a stipulation or something, only what happened in the ring. This would make Roman take his final boss place. Not that he isn't close, but this would set it in stone. One love ❤️
Given how we're approaching the possible end of Johnny Knoxville's time in WWE, I want to state a potentially controversial opinion: the only era it would make even the _slightest_ bit of sense for Johnny Knoxville to be a WWE wrestler is in the Ruthless Aggression era. Also, slightly-less controversial opinion: I legitimately hope Logan Paul gets actually hurt for real during Wrestlemania, loses, and is kicked out of WWE. [EDIT: It's been over a year, and I still say this should've happened.]
Actually watched this on Sunday morning after Mania night one. Without spoiling anything it’s pretty cool how much of Adam’s booking lined up with what really happened. Maybe WWE are watching 🤔
Loved everything about this booking, I understand why you would retire brock because who can work with brock after this he worked with everyone... edge? Ouch my neck, Nooo! Well I think it's okay to let brock have some time off until a proper opponent with a proper storyline pops up, but not retire him yet, he can still do wonders.
I think you should rebook Jeff Hardys wwe championship run, stardust, becky Lynch in nxt, ember moon on main roster, legacy, matt hardy vs Jeff hardy at wrestlemania, cesaro, Sami Zayn, and Bobby Roode
The singing bro really? Still not gonna skip it because it's you but really bro? Still helping me out on a crappy night so thanks alot Adam I really appreciate it
Adam: I can't bring myself to say Johnny Knoxville pins Sami Zayn Also Adam: Puts this match on hit top ten of the year which is fine because it's a top 5 for me
I think something that would be interesting is a “how would I book old school” and it’s booking WWE/WCW/ECW etc legends in todays era of wrestling. For ex. “How would I book Andre the Giant”.
