So freaking helpful!!! thanks bro! I spend like 20 minutes look through articles and redit feeds and everyone was just saying how to add a LUT temporarily but it has been driving me nuts that you have to hunt them down every time!!!!!!!! You're a life saver bro! thanks
message from adobe on how to use it properly: Adding your own LUTs to the Premiere Pro application package is not recommended or supported and is the cause of your current problems. Yes, your assumption is correct, the default LUTs that come installed by default with Premiere Pro are indeed indexed by item number in the folder rather than by name. It's done this way because users are not meant to alter the files in this folder. If you are using several custom LUTs and want them to show up in the Lumetri dropdown menus we have a solution which is newly available in a recent update (2018 - version 12.1). You can install your LUTs into a specific folder in your OS user library and Lumetri will scan them in. Here are the instructions to install and use custom LUTs: Like to read: helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/whats-new.html Like to watch: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dnJQj09GDfM.html LUTs that are stored in these folders will get embedded into the project file when you use them. So you can share the project with a colleague and all the LUTs will be present and be functioning for them even if they don't have the specific LUTs installed. It will not install these LUTs onto the other person's system for them to use on additional clips, however. It is therefore recommended that you send them the LUT with instructions on how to install it onto their system. Hope this helps.
if i open the adobe folder it says that it is empty, for instance if i want to go to users i can't find it anywhere. I might fcked up some of my settings, anyone know the solution for it?
This was very helpful but I have LUTS that are in folders and there are thousands of LUTS in total. Do I have to open each folder and pull out the files and drag and drop them or can I just drop the folders at one time and LUTS inside of each folder will be added?
How to add LUTS to Input library, I had asked the Adobe Tech Support. for the life of me, they couldn't answer or figure out. They poked around my PC etc. in vain. Thanks to this video for making this crystal clear.
A horror))) Copy as admin. Restart app. In fcpx I just copy needed luts to ~//Library/Application\ Support/ProApps/Custom\ LUTs/ (have a tag for that folder) and that luts was showed in fcpx instantly. Also I can create folder in a Custom LUTs folder as "luts fo summer effect", or "luts for my film about Thai". Also I can delete that one. All changes without admin access and restart app.
