There are no similarities. Allah hears and sees. His creation also hears and sees. But what are the differences? He sees and hears without using eyes and ears. He sees and hears without the need of tools like us. We as His creation sees using eyes and hears using ears. Allah said in the Quran 'Yadullah'. But what are the differences between 'Yadullah' and Yad of the creation? Yad of the creation has a shape, size, weight, direction. Yad of the creation involves space and time. Yad of the creation also describe as an organ or a tool that we use to do our daily work. However, the Yad of Allah is nothing similar to the Yad of the creation as He already mentioned in the Quran "There are nothing that resemble Him". HE IS NOTHING SIMILAR TO THE NATURE OF HIS CREATION.

How to understand these verses is to say that Allah knows best how those verses are meant. Taking them literally makes you become a Christian basically saying God can have a figure and become a human We are humans and we understand human concepts, Allah isn’t human and is unlike the creation nor is he limited by creation. The same sense that the verses “ا ل م" Throughout the Quran, along with other letters that have no known meaning to humans we must understand/accept that this is just a point of limited intelligence for us and we may better understand it when we meet our Lord, Allah if we are righteous enough to meet Him.

It’s possible that the prophet may know as well, but if the specific matter wasn’t discussed or questioned about then we don’t have enough knowledge regarding it to say we know for certain this is what is meant. Even when we discuss a verse in the quran whether in Arabic or a translation we will say and Allah knows best even if it is “In the name of Allah- the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful” we will say and Allah knows best because this is a divine book revealed by God and only God knows it’s meaning with absolute certainty. I don’t know isn’t definitive as I might not know now but I might know tomorrow or I may never know. The difference is even though we may think we know what a verse in the Quran means we will still say and Allah knows best as this is His book and He knows it better than we ever could. When you refer to Allah, I think you’re falling under the impression that you can compare Allah to yourself which is a contradiction to the definition of an all powerful, all knowing, eternal God in itself. When someone creates a pencil does he begin to function as a pencil? Maybe the human that created the printer can describe himself as having two ends, like the pencil but does that necessitate that one of them is sharp and the other erases? Does that mean that the pencil is similar in anyway to the human that created it? Maybe it’s a bad analogy, but again this is God and there is nothing comparable to Him. You ask about why we don’t understand some parts of the Quran, the answer is simple, perhaps we as humans aren’t as intelligent as you claim we are. Various verses in the Quran were revealed and maybe humans didn’t understand what they meant at a specific point in time but now we can see that they are true/make sense (and of course, Allah knows best) -expansion of the universe -sun, moon, earth all have an orbit (Scientists believed the sun orbited the earth until 1543, and at this time they still believed the sun did not have an orbit; Quran revealed this in the 7th century) You see not everything needs to be clearly understood in the time and maybe it never really needs to make sense and perhaps God will reveal what it means to us in the afterlife (and Allah knows best).
