This was very beautifully presented. Thank you for posting it. I was in the middle of reading Shambhala by Nicholas Roerich and decided to do a RU-vid search for background information. I am so happy and grateful that your wonderful video was presented in the search results, so I Liked and Subscribed.
Just mind blowing the fortitude he possessed to be able to take on the journey twice. He must have been in superior shape to make these journeys and survive.
@@silvananeal5276 I'd love a recommendation of what's considered the best biography of Helena Roerich. It was she who interpreted & translated a gargantuan amount of Eastern wisdom for western minds to understand. It's heartening how the Roerichs were a true love match & how Nicholas truly appreciated his wife's contributions & support.
Roerich's paintings and his search for the underground city of Shambhala provided the inspiration for H. P. Lovecraft's story "At the Mountains of Madness".
Thank for this presentation. You would likely enjoy the recent release of Agni Yoga: The High Path, a 2 volume collection of Helena Roerich's personal converstations with Master Morya over a period of years. It is full of insights, knowledge and advice. In this series, Master Morya describes the composition of the Chintamani stone.
Another Russian Buddhist man from the early 20th century who allegedly found Shambhala was Baron Roman von Ungern Sternberg. He was a contemporary of Nicholas Roerich. I believe that Roerich was aware of Ungern's story of whatever it was that he discovered.
Its actually the year 2424. "This final battle is prophesied for the year 2424 or 2425 (in the 3304th year after the death of the Buddha). Thereafter, Buddhism would survive another 1,800 years." From the wikipedia page on Shambhala, they cite Alexander Berzin, Taking the Kalachakra Initiation (1997), p. 33.
