Crit Anivia is more likely. Fun fact that I started playing Anivia that way before I transitioned to standard AP builds. Let me say that she's very fun as a crit champion thanks to her humongous AA range and great CC. AP is still better overall, but you have potential as an AD champion.
I love that Wukongs AP scaling on the E got randomly buffed. I said to everyone - "like anybody in higher elo will suddenly build AP items on him now" - well.... xD
might have to try this after my Taliyah sup was nerfed - I know she's still a good champ mid-late game, but early she's so bad and many of her advantages she once had are gone; with the new durability patch she'll be even worse :(
The luden thing also works on gwen Q. With item cdr, you can q, proc luden on the first snip, and when you cast it again it'll proc on the last snip a second time.
10:40 "I showed this clip to not only make fun of him but to show you this pick is good if you understand your damage windows" You didnt have to be that harsh, but props to this player, he's really a big brain. I have heard "Little knowledge is harmful" but this dude just said I will ignore the knowledge entirely and didnt even bother learning about other champs lol
I need to try this in jungle. Wukong's E deals bonus DMG to monsters : it might just be completely broken in term of clear speed, plus you avoid the painful early game mid and can farm safely untill you get your ultn
The only reason u can play this stuff mostly is u can trade kills and get faster lvl than anyone in the game same for the pyke mid meta solo lane midlane is just so broken for leveling
I mean, clear speed doesn't matter past the 1st or 2nd clears, so that logic is kinda flawed, since many many champions can clear super fast once they get items.
@@aren6164 in mid-late? not really. Do the build for fun if you want, but I can guarantee that 'clear speed' isn't a reason to use the build. I mean Samira can quite literally kill camps in 1 second once she has 2-3 items, but people don't take that as a reason to play Samira jungle. And with this Wukong build in particular, at your first item, you'd have faster clear speed at 1 item if you went with any other Wukong build.
@@devilix123987 I'm not taking it just for the clear speed, wukong is a solid jungler already : having a huge clear speed boost in addition to higher burst is a really good bonus to his already really good ability to play the role In the video, we see this guy wrecking games despite his terrible cs : Wukong jungle will naturally have better cs due to fast clears and not needing to last hit minions to get his golds. If you leech lanes exp (as you should with any jungler) Wukong's already fast clear is mostly due to his E having % bonus dmg on camps : if you build AP, this %dmg is also applied to the AP ratio of his E, which makes him get a clear speed WAY faster than "samira mid game". You barely need 1 item to make him blast camps : and because you have so much burst, you can use that excess time to hard invade
I was a Wukong player before his changes in 2020, I miss lethality Wukong sm... I played him support, ap, lethal, everything u can imagine... And ppl were calling me crazy... Now, look at that... I was right in the wrong time...
Lol I almost cried watching this video. His history is almost like mine, but I started playin in 2018 and discovered Wukong in 2019... I also discovered a one trick Wukong who I learned by seeing how he plays the game (XiaoChaoMeng) and got better. Too bad I didn't played ranked games bcs I was waiting for his rework (the 1st version in PBE was amazing... So I was rly excited. But they changed it), now I can't play Wu at all...
Im still waiting for someone to climb to challenger using AP Renekton. I think my friend would like this video, she has trouble with the names of champs as well as abilities they even have so it may be a nice confidence booster
For a time i actually played something similar. I would rush pd and bt, then build nothing but tank items. Stacked pd and lethal give more attack speed than youll ever need, and bt just gives a lot of lifesteal. The two together give you more damage than pretty much any bruiser out there. Figured building tank so i would have more time to smack people around was the natural progression of things lol
If you want to play brust, assassin Wu you could also just go for crit. With Gale force, collector and essence. Burst damage should be similar only that you have a lot more DPS as well. Is probably also an easier build to adapt if you're used to playing bruiser Wu.
Im a Wukong main and sometimes I play him Ap in normals to hace fun, but I didnt know about the Luden Interaction, im gonna start trolling my friends with this
I remember getting to diamond just because of wukong. I played back in season 8 and 7 and lethality thunderlords (old name for electrocute) was the fucking best. You really were able to 1 shot people, wukongs trades were unbelivable.
Tear not stacking on Wukong Q isn't a bug - Tear stacks on abilities and Manamune stacks on abilities AND attacks so because Wukong's Q is an auto it doesnt stack tear but does stack Manamune
You would be right, if you were living in pre-season 8. After the Rune Reforge, all spells are coded to deal 0 spell/ability dmg to allow Manaflow Band user to proc the rune. So even if it's just an AA enhancer, it still trigger ability dmg.
ive always wondered what happened with tigerthetiger after he was featured in one of elite500s vids where he was being coached by veigar v2, but I completely forgot the name of this insane perma roam wukong mid guy until now tyvm, love tigerthetigers playstyle
dude's the same as me i only played old aatrox and i have no idea what other champs abilities but when rito removed aatrox i stopped playing league and now only play wild rift as jinx lmao
Literally just watched the Wukong sup video only to be recommended this after, great timing! Can’t wait to win/lose my games super hard for the next few days.
Dont use this in the top lane, you are going to get smacked- a wukong otp. You only use lethality, Ap, Crit builds on wukong mid and thats all. Top lane you must go bruiser.
Its the best way to play for survivablity and the long run. Your going to feed with these squishy builds because a lot of them generally work best end game IF you can reach that point.
i also play wukong assassin, but i play full crit. if u r intrested i will be more than happy to explain in detail (i am not high elo or smth, i just dont play ranked)
I remember when I started playing League, Wukong just got released and I just had this terrible hatred for him because of his kit. Fast forward season 10 when they gave him a second knock up... then season 12 a stealth dash through walls... It just brought back my hatred for him even more. But, seeing him being build like this? I'm ok with that. Way less braindead than the regular wukong :D
I was talking to a friend like a week ago, and told him you made a video on AP wukong. I then looked it up and it didn't exist, but now it comes out. Has this video been posted before or am I going crazy.
Hey i played this build now and will spam it tomorrow but as tipp you should use cosmic insight 45sec lower flash cd and 10item haste on top and u can buy boots early to get even more cd on summs for example in between an early buy when manamune is too expensive bumps your dmg but gives u more possibilities
True but you dont learn much when you play against a challenger syndra main - get poked down lvl 1 and die to her 5 times in lane. Much better to learn on a smurf or outside ranked
I play him with mandate. The pillar applies mandate to everyone in the slow. Very fun in team fights when your pillar is a 7 second cd and lasts 6 seconds.
Hey guys i am Tigerthetiger 🐅🐒👍. Let me explain a bit here because that part was definitely an overexaggeration and some things must have got missunderstood when i spoke to Chime. When i reached challenger in s9 of course i knew the basic of many champs i faced especially the one i had to lane against mid. I was just generally a slow learner and didnt care to much about it because i only played Wukong! If there was a new champion released or a champion i didnt face often i would be not sure what it did cooldown time on the ability ect ect i just knew how to play wukong good and didnt bother to much with else and tried swap away from champions i wasnt sure of instead of go read them lol. Of course to reach challenger you will need a big knowledge of what many champs which I HAD to some extent just not what the average high elo would have. Hopefully this clears things up a bit.. I hope u can enjoy the video regardless and you like the Wizard Wukong mid! 🐒🧙♂️... and maybe try him out (at your own risk🐒)
2) Also I WAS Challenger on old Wukong s9-10 pre rework when he was an assaassin. (now a bruiser champion) since then i havnt been Challenger only Master-GM playing either lethality assassin or ap Wukong. (still think thats decent) but just so u dont think i can make AP wukong work consistenly in Challeneger..Maybe one day but for now highest only in Master-GM EUW👍🐒🧙♂️
As tiger said below - I didnt mean that he had no idea what their abilities were, just that he didnt ever play them and so much like a silver player - didnt have knowledge of them like a high elo player should.
this guy is actually monke-brained doesn't know what other champions do ignores the updates to his champion, continues to build assassin when bruiser is buffed wukong otp
You would be right, if you were living in pre-season 8. After Rune Reforged, all spells are coded to deal 0 spell/ability dmg to allow Manaflow Band users to proc the rune. So even if it's just an AA enhancer, it still triggers ability dmg.
Wukong's Q not giving tear stacks isn't a bug. Auto attack enhancers do not count as an ability, despite spell shields still blocking them (I think?) For example, Vayne's Q, Sivir's W and Jax's W do not count towards stacking tear either.
