I figure that hole is best used as the secure entrance to your base and keeping the other entryway permanently sealed. But this exploit makes that different, because one might get reckless if they think there is no way at all for someone to get down there.

Bucket cave is best off used when blocking the cave entrance with 3 armored layers and only using bucket side as suicide cave. So you can go in and put very quickly.

Stone is the same cost to break as armored doors so why would you upgrade to metal? They can still get through with 4 rockets or 2 c4 if it's metal.

What's the need for the exploit there? Can't you just take the bucket ride down or smthn?

The bucket is at the bottom and the only way to make it go up is to get in it at the bottom. There used to be a spot where you could hit the wall on the way down and survive, but I haven't done it lately. I only ever have my door at the bucket drop side. Drop down, die, spawn and run out to collect my loot.
