Your welcome, I like making videos that have all the information in one video. When I first started watching youtube to learn about tropical plants, it was frustrating searching through a channel’s library to find a part 2 and 3.
I grew my canna from seed this year. I started them mid April in doors. I'm in Colorado. Will they grow a rhyzome before end of fall season? I have put so much care into them. It will hurt my heart to know I can't save them from our harsh winters. You have beautiful Canna's.
Thanks so much for this video! I'm trying my hand at growing some from seed this year. I didn't boil or otherwise scarify my seeds. Maybe this is why it took longer for them to grow. Anyway, I have 3 little ones growing right now. I shared your video with my cousin.❤
Thank you, I’m in California. I am using native soil and I do lots of composting to enrich the soil. This video shows how I created a lush garden. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-49aP1tp7kDw.html
Thank you for an excellent video, as a newbie to growing Cannas am curious to understand that when the seeds are harvested in early autumn do you scarify and germinate the seeds throughout the winter so they are established by early spring? Thank you for any advice ( am located in Uk btw)
I don’t scarify until late winter and germinate them in water right away and grow the seedlings indoors under a grow light. Then plant them in the spring.
@@Tropifornia Many thanks for swift reply much appreciated, I have subscribed to your excellent channel, how would you recommend storing the seeds over the late autumn and main part of winter ?
Did you scarify them? Boiling water works best for me. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cmtkB74YUBI.html I have also received seeds that would not germinate, no matter what I tried.
