Sorta of an off topic reply but: your statement kind of reminds me of how Dara from 2ne1 would have hairstyles that some people might find weird. I really love how Solar decided to do that. Imo others without hair might not feel so different and realize that they are beautiful too. M V I see you’ve commented these same words on a lot of the comments on Solar’s video so I understand that you are trying to force your portrayal of the video to the majority of us who see the bigger picture than you. Long hair has been the standard of beauty in many industries especially the record industry so Solar proves that woman can be beautiful, sensual, and delicate without long luscious hair on their heads. In society more and more women shave their heads either due to health OR by their choice. She proves that standing your ground (especially in this particular video) and going against the norm is exquisite! Hwasa went against the norm of slimming down as an idol and continues to go against body standards put in front of her. They both are exceeding with their genuine choices of not conforming to the standards of others and rather sticking to their own choices as being cool and confident. Confidence is key. Hopefully you find some soon lovely and remove bitterness from your heart because these women are succeeding and you could too if you ever are able to relinquish the time you waste in shaming those who will never see you. But be natural so if being closed-minded is who you genuinely are I guess your out of luck then..

I totally get it if you were disappointed with the mv or song or if you think it didn't live up to the hype. But I can assure you that a lot of people found a deeper meaning. The entire song is about "spitting out" or rejecting society's expectations of women. Lyrics from the song -"'50/50 I'm always at some risk/Cause I'm a woman, why? don't care, my way," "I will do what I want, I will rule how I want" Everything you mentioned in your comment exemplifies this message. Bald head --> rejecting society's beauty standards for women that hair=beautiful (also putting herself in a vulnerable position, she's showing herself 'stripped bare') "Baring her ass" --> rejecting society's standards that women are only meant to show skin when it's pleasing for men. Solar faces a lot of criticism and hate for not following societal expectations for women - eg. not wearing makeup, pole dancing etc. In fact, all of Mamamoo do. In my opinion, it doesn't come across as fake or forced because Solar is speaking from personal experience and has shown a pattern of speaking up about inequalities between the way male and female idols are treated by the general public. As a young woman, I feel inspired by her efforts to shed light on bigger issues in society. But we can agree to disagree on that. Finally, I totally get it if you resonate and relate to Hwasa more, but you don't have to bring Solar down to bring Hwasa up. They are both allowed to talk about their experiences in the industry and advocate for things that they believe in whether you agree with them or not. Have a nice day :))
