What do you think are the biggest challenges Anwar's administration will face in successfully implementing these comprehensive reforms, and how might they be overcome?

I think the main challenge will be the agreement between ASEAN countries on their stance on trade with the US and China and also vulnerabilities in Myanmar since they're at war
It's just a beginning... PM Anwar need a times to proven his capabilities... Most important all cabinet minister on his sides need to work together with him... For Malaysian prosperity and be successful Asian country again... InshaAllah....
I see Minor cabinet reshuffle is avoidable to enhance its effectiveness of running a good government. In private sector small or big companies where new employees are given probationary period (3 to 6 months or extendable) to be a confirmed employee. How about in government sector ?

As much as the talk on reforms being made it the same government that had sack the old Attorney General(AG) that had establish a prima facie case against the current Deputy prime Minister Zahid hamidi on the 47 case of corruption that lead the court to release without acquital as the new AG had drop the case. In Malaysia the AG is appointed and answers to the Prime Minister Ministry
The AG that oversees Zahid's case was Idris Harun, who's the same AG that oversees the previous PM8, Muhyiddin's case that had been discharged on 4 cases recently. Idris Harun have also dismissed 150+ cases during PM8 Muhyiddin's tenure and was appointed by PM8. Idris Harun's term ends on 5th Sept 2023 recently after deciding on Zahid's DNAA. The new AG is Terarudin and was appointed on 6th Sept. 2023 through seniority in ranks and this was the first time after PM4, an AG that's been appointed according through seniority in AGC. This shows the current AG is not appointed from outside which could be construed as "own people" or "budak kita" or PM's man like PM4, PM6, PM7, PM8 did back then. So Malaysia is looking forward to the first step of clean governance, no inteference and independent institutions.

Im saying this as a fence sitter, who voted for him. Allow him to govern. Not because he is the best, because there is no other. you should read between the lines, during mahathirs second term only opposition had court cases proceed, that shows some influence from gov on the cases. Current gov even opposition leaders are getting their cases dismissed, that shows no interference.
Najib lost his reputation in the neighboring country due to a corruption case involving the management of government funds (sovereign wealth fund) 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB). The money laundering scandal is thought to be worth up to US$4.5 billion (Rp. 63.8 trillion). Now, Najib has stepped down and been replaced by Mahathir. Anwar Ibrahim, who was a political prisoner for years during the leadership of Mahathir and Najib, is now free. The two of them worked together to carry out a thorough investigation into this scandal that ensnared various parties in the international world like an octopus. Is there no new PM candidate? Anwar's movement for reformation is dead. His much touted fight against corruption and abuse of power was blown out of the water when the first move he took being PM was to appoint Ahmad Zahid Hamidi of UMNO who was fighting 47 charges of corruption in court as the Deputy Prime Minister, the 2nd most powerful post in Malaysia. And to top it off whilst at the same time confirming that his reformation movement is truly dead was the suspicion of abuse of power, with the Attorney General Chambers, a department under PM Anwar, withdrawing the prosecution of Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, resulting in discharge not amounting to acquittal (DNAA). Shame.

Malaysia can go forward if they were to follow Vietnam's method. For example the setting up of industrial parks. The baggage of Mahathir have been weighing heavily on the Malaysian psyche for far too long. For example, their pride has prevented them from seeking help from Singapore which is the one of the top investors in Vietnam. The expertise of Singapore is crucial and it carrys a brand name. FYI 17 industrial parks in Vietnam are springing up fast. The heartache of Malaysia can be felt in Singapore, believe me.
