some mfs put a screen protector on my apple watch, broke one and the other one is full of bubbles, even an inexperienced dude does ir better than a shop owner
Well its easy. I can put mine without bubbles. Most people are just afraid or have no patience to apply it to themselves. I mean it is cheaper because even if i failed my first attempt my protector only cost like less than a dollar or sometimes i got it for free (as a promotion for the online store). So if you ask me i would definitely apply it to myself.
it's easy once you mastered it. you just need stickers to unstick the dust, then you put the screen protector. if there's bubbles, use the long sticker and lift the tempered a little then remove the dust with long sticker. now I use $2 screen protector and apply it myself. it perform the same as the $50 one. even my case didn't cost $50.
@@glitchedgamerz1064Well the American economy isn’t the same as the Indian economy, salary’s here are double or triple than most of what you guys earn there, which is why everything is expensive as hell here, but if you get a good job and work here, 50$ wouldn’t feel like anything. But it’s also crazy how cheap it’s priced in other countries. The same can be said about other services like Apple Music, Spotify etc. In India it’s less than 1-2$ because of the annual income and money a person is willing to spend, meanwhile here it’s a whole 10$ for an individual music plan 🤯
@@nurulabsar725 wide crack or narrow crack I don't really care if it's cracked it's getting replaced. Rather the screen protector completely shatter as it dissipates the energy.
@@imherechris5218 that’s the point, all it needs to do it break instead of the screen. A cheap screen protector can break 100 times and cost the same as an overpriced one, meaning it’s a much better deal assuming it works. (Even then a good one is $5 and it’s on par with the Apple one)
Insignia tampered glass screen protectors are pretty great you can get a two pack depending on your phone for around 10 bucks. Whereas I bought a zagg screen protector from best buy for 35 bucks and it was literally a plastic sheet that probably cost the company five cents to make
wtf? is applying screen protector 50$? upd: in russia, good screen protector costs ~10$, and the normal price for them is 2-4$, this is why i was surprised by the price
I guess if you're buying in the mall, you also pay for the space rent 😅 and I think most people would rather buy at physical stores than online with expensive products so you can see it. Now I just wonder if there's a difference in price online and on stores I never checked before...
@@SnowSNS11 so the Sasmsung shop at my mall doesn't pay rent and this is why they cann apply screen protection for free is what you're saying? Maybe you should stop making a 🤡out of yourself justifying scam
The cloth you’re thinking of is specifically for an XDR display. Usually belkin supplies the cloth and Mat. For some reason this employee is using a general cleaning cloth and a product display mat hahaha.
@@Joshua-kw4qe Belkin was bought by Foxconn which was also a manufacturer of iPhone parts. Apple doesn't have their own brand of screen protectors yet and must have an exclusive agreement with Belkin. I got my iPhone from a data provider and they gave me a spigen screen protector for free.
I got one for 4.99 and put it on myself. It survived concrete twice so far Update, the screen was faulty when I got it, and without the screen protector taking too much damage, the lcd itself cracked. Not even the screen 😂 I’m so confused about how that can even happen
@@joneinarmattiasvisser6113 I had it like that as well, until I dropped my phone outside onto asphalt and the screen broke. I needed a new phone anyway that time, but never going without screen protector since then
i used to work in a phone shops, people would ask me to place the screen protector all the time, at the end i would do it perfectly and people were treating me like i did heart surgery lol they were so happy it would look perfect
You can't imagine how aweful it is to no being able to apply it without dust and forced to see this dust you can't wipe off from your screen everytime you're using your phone. Q_Q
I worked at sprint then T-Mobile then Verizon and finally AT&T and it always blew my mind when people would go nuts at the application 🤣 like miss this is my 14th screen protector today yes I'm sure I can get it on properly no I don't need a celebration for there being no bubbles 🤣 I never understood the applicator guide. Unless you have Parkinson's it's not that hard to get it aligned properly. Except those iPhone 8 ones and the stupid corner bubbles next to the home button. F*ck those in particular.
@@deciiproductions that sideways application of the screen protector is nice I never seen that usually I go top to bottom but ima try that one next time
@@atlas_ksd688Verizon is just as bad as Apple. Traded in my phone and the new phone would be about $100. They tried putting in a bunch of extra stuff without asking to get a bigger cut smh.
If you look, there were bubbles at the top of the phone....They pan away quickly. People really will give apple their first born just to say they had something done at the apple store.
Glass on those are weaker. Theres a reason you get 2. You get what you pay for. That 50 isnt cost of installation, its the cost of the glass that comes with a warranty
@@Pepandas That's great and all but $42 better? I have been using the same brand for around the last 10 years and they have worked well for me. I'll continue to save $$ because I can't justify the extra expense.

@@agunemon that’s not what commission is. Also the screens cost the same from the manufacturer, apple probably only makes incentive costs for stocking them on their shelves.
Apple installs the screen protector for customers for free. The Belkin screen protector costs $50. Same for high-end android Belkin screen protectors lol. This has nothing to do with Apple. It’s actually quite nice that they offer the service for free and they built a machine that installs the screen protectors perfectly for customers
I bought a random ass screen protector from BestBuy that came with 2 for $16. It had all that same prep, but had a plastic frame that snapped onto the phone and made it impossible to mess up. Saved myself more than $35 cause now I have an extra
@@totallybread6060 If it is already said that it is 50 dollars, then the joke doesn't make sense. If the price wasn't mentioned, then only it would make sense
the screen protectors now a days come with a plastic case that aligns the screen protector for you so it’s super easy and perfect - there’s no need for these stores to do this anymore unless you have a lot of money and just like bugging employees lol
Literally never had a screen protector come with the tool to fit it, also the employees will have done loads so are highly likely to do it perfectly, no point spending 20-50 on a screen protector to then fuck it up and need another one.
@@eirebhoy132on Amazon they’re literally $8-20 and come with a tool. Idk how you can fuck it up with a tool. I’ve never had a screen protector in recent years without the tool.
@@eirebhoy132 if you youtube “screen protector” - you will see a youtube short with 2.2 million views about “spigen” (if not more views for readers in the future lol). I did my phone, dad, and mom’s phone and I still have 3 extra ones because the boxes gave me two - i honestly don’t know how you can mess it up lol - you can spend your money however you want but it’s not true what you’re saying in 2023 - screen protector installation has gotten really easy for phones lol
The at home kit of the belkin screen protector shown in this video comes with that tray. Costs the same amount I’ve used both the machine and the tray. Becuase the phone goes face up in the tray, you end up spending an extra 10 mins to remove dust. Machine is way easier. I can put an screen protector on in less than 2 minutes, under 1 min on a good day.
The screen protector you’d have would be cheap garbage, if ur gonna buy a $1000 phone don’t expect a 4.99 screen protector do nun against an actual drop
SD cards are an inferior product. They are slower and will become infected with viruses if plugged into an infected computer. Plugging an iphone on an infected computer has no effect on the memory. Not to mention sd life span is shorter
@@Coolie-ds4tu they are slower sure but for storing photos, movies/ videos, music, documents, etc it's no different. At least having the option is better than none at all. And if you worried about viruses, you have yourself to blame not an SD card lol

Tip guys you can skip the cleaning of the screen if you just peal the sticker the phone comes with while phone is upside then proceed with putting the screen protector on. the screen is never cleaner than when you peal the sticker it comes with off.
Probably doesn’t hurt giving it another wipe down as long as the cloth used is absolutely clean. Otherwise you’ll just put dust particles onto it that’ll highly increase the chance of dust showing up under the tempered glass post install.
Use air duster after peeling the factory white sticker, then quickly apply screen protector. I just did it and it turned out perfect. Just be careful not to blast the speakers that’s not good to do obviously.

“that’s too expensive, you could just buy it somewhere else cheaper” I was on the same boat. But what most people don’t know is that if the application isn’t perfect, the Apple employee would put on another one for free. The guy who did mine went through two protectors simply because the first two “didn’t feel right”.
I’ve got to say, from a long time user of cheap screen protector, that Apple kind is literally like the phone glass itself in feeling and visibility. And you do get a warranty with that. It’s just not comparable to others.
🧢 Literally any tempered glass screen protector feels and looks like the phone glass itself….now if you’re using a film screen protecter, matte/anti-glare screen protector, privacy screen protector, then you’ll notice a difference.
@@Generictingz95nope it’s not, first of all Well, I'm sure Apple uses an oleophobic coating that makes your finger slide across the screen + they don't use alcohol on the screen because this coating will be killed, after you remove the coating your screen will feel like real glass
@@not-d3 well yeah but you’re missing the point. The fact that you can walk in there, get stuff that are top notch and trusted, then walk away not giving a crap and knowing you got quality stuff is the experience and the comfort of being an Apple consumer. @@t0x1cd Nope. I didn't promise to do anything. I just said that I'd rather just but that applicator and start a business. I did it twice with Tmobile, then I just decided to do it myself the third time since they screwed it up twice, left it crooked and left bubbles. The iPhone screen is completely clean and dust free after peeling the white factory screen sticker off, there is no need to wipe it down and apply a second sticker. I just upgraded to the 16 and took the phone home and applied the protector myself. It came out flawless. The only thing I used was a little bit of air duster just to ensure it was dust free.
