Making a list and not rushing your decision is so underrated and a big middle finger for corporates. I remember i almost over paid for my laptop by 10k because certain e-commerce website had a limited time sale and all orders had free delivery going on. After literally a week the sale ended and price dropped from 76k to 66k with free delivery that too 💀! Also since i had pre-decided my budget and done a fair bit of digging info i avoided buying poor value models and narrow down my list of options to choose from 😎.

The thing is people don't understand that technology can be and will be manipulated, it runs on a code someone mad and can be changed accordingly. Best example will be just going to any E commerce website save a product screenshot the price and check the same product after some days, you'll see the manipulated price. Proud of you guys for taking about such topics and giving a honest opinion. Lot's of love keep doing what you are doing.
E commerce apps + online payment instruments = impulse buying. From this new year day, I have opted for cash and minimized online payments. Now, I left with some money at month end. 😅
Same with social media even if you delete the account they give 1 month time to return back,they knew you are addicted and somehow you will return in 1 month.

This is exactly how my Kotak mahindra app works. After 4 years still I couldn't figure it out to deposit extra amount in my home loan account over and above monthly EMIs.
Honestly most of these tricks don't work on me. I still have professional's social media offering 3 months free trial from last 2 years, I just recharge the OTT based on what I need to watch at the time and unregister auto pay instantly. Showing some limited time deals on online shopping looks like a joke to me, for curiosity I would wait and see if price increases. I think this is same for majority of Indians or Am I the rare one?
Only thing that still tricks me for couple of minutes before I actually realize is youtube's recommendation algo for shorts or instagram reels. The moment I realize I am in a swiping loop, I stop it. But it takes many minutes to realize that.
I get the roach motel but it really doesn't work 🤣🤣 Except in case the shitty app has made it impossible to cancel, there are at most 10 taps you have to do. If you are that long gone into convenience an app subscription would be your last worry 😆😆 Even in the example shown, you have to do 2 more taps after the part they showed.
