Wondering why sorghum looks like corn, but it's part of a grass-fed diet for cows? All grass-milk farms will harvest their hays and haylages before they reach the seed stage. They are harvesting the leaves and stalks and fermenting as a way to preserve them. Since cattle can digest these cellulose portions they can gain more nutrition from the stems and leaves of a plant in a way that humans can't.

So heartwarming to see well taken care of animals - visited that mega farm in Indiana once and do not understand how they could permit people see the abuse those poor cows endured. It was very disturbing. This is the farm of my youth that I remembered from trips to Wisconsin. I will always buy grass fed organic products from dairy farms that treat their animals as they should be treated.

Rarely do I not Skip Ad after the countdown. However, having enjoyed many Organic Valley products, as Julia is so bright and charming, and as this advert is so interesting and informative, i not only watched it, but also googled “Outside with Julia”, got back to the vid. in non-ad format to watch it again and comment. I am busting up laughing - a FOURTH cut?! 😂🥹🤣🙌🏼 WooHoo❣️ We’re blessed in NW WY if we get ONE that miraculously doesn’t get rained on btwn cutting, raking and baling LOL. We get a second, small cutting on good years. Watching this, I can smell that fresh cut grass hay 💚 A piece of Heaven But then I recall going to feed cows at 7 a.m. in Winter along the Yellowstone in MT aka Montarctica… Layers… some mornings I felt like the Michelin Man and could have put up a sail and blown back to the yard and house ! It truly tastes better than any other milk. I think I have probably had a glass of whole milk every day for most of my life, it's a comfort thing now. I didn't grow up drinking organic milk though and the day I tried Organic Valley as an adult I never went back.

In Norway, the dry hay indoors, and the facility are share , the grass dry in sun, finish in indoor, if needed As I believe,. This cooked grass, is no good,
