@@abhay3919 its generally half and half. There are machining processes in all bats, just more so with cheaper ones. However, all the finishing has to be done by hand.
Its difficult to work fast with all the gear on, I am sure they have been working for a long time, so they wont hurt themselves moreover its uncomfortable with all the glasses, gloves and overalls
I’m a 90’s kid and Can’t agree more that English willow is best. However a grade 1 Kashmir willow has enough or outperform and last long more than an English willow. It may be little heavy but can be shaped and customized given options these days. Leather ball batsman should consider a KW for their backup/nets bat I’m sure you will eventually fall in love. I will try to make a video in my channel soon.
Kashmir is fairly brittle and doesn't work great for leather ball cricket. There is a reason it's only used in bats for juniors and plastic ball cricket.
@@omarkhan4507 see the word soccer has it's roots literally in the UK with association football being called soccer to not confuse it with rugby (back in the olden days that is).
@@omarkhan4507 call it footbalppp where the score can be 128-117 but at least its exciting because u cheer everytime they score which is about 50-60 times per game or make a shot every 35-55 seconds. And dont even started on rugby! Yes it can be exciting but American football players are 2× bigger stronger and faster and try to kill each other when they get an hit in open field. Sometimes knocking the other guy out even with a helmet, mouthpiece, and full body pads
I really enjoyed that them people who do the later stages of the bat are so in tune with crafting them I always thought that it was a mechanical instrument ? That done that work that is very skilled !! workers.
Am I the only one who thinks that this obviously million dollar company can afford better safety equipment and workbenches for it's workers? I mean the british guy who was sitting in the vehicle that pushed the tree had more safety gear on than the Indian kid working the wood planing machine.
Magar meine gaur kiya hai ki Pakistani players jo bat use karti hai usmein hitting areas mein lal dhabbe kese aa Jate hai meanwhile baki countries ke bat mein dhabbe nahi aate .

So relaxing to watch. At least these workers looks better and there are other daily wage workers working under pathetic situation without any much proper health hazard protection
American here, Is there any specific regulations about the type of wood that can be used for a bat, or is it more like you can use what ever you want but the best tend to be made of willow?
I suppose you could improve the quality of the bat by treating the wood chemically with sodium hydroxide and sodium sulphite and then compressing it under hydraulic press and then giving that compressed block of wood to the craftsmen to shape and form... I think that would be a very interesting cricket bat
