And, regarding the MSP and entry of corporates, what I see protestors are just resorting to unnecessary speculation and fear-mongering tactics of petty opposition politicians. MSP decision is purely an executive decision and the MSP is guaranteed 100% irrespective of the enforcement of these new farm laws. An, on what basis, they are saying that MSP will go away in future and corporate set their own prices. MSP system and APMC Mandis will continue to work irrespective of these new farm laws. It is this same government which increased MSP in September 2020 after the passing of the new farm laws. This government paid more than double to farmers as MSP. Between 2009-2014, the UPA government paid just Rs. 3.74 lakh crore whereas, this govt paid Rs. 8 lakh crore between 2014-2019. This govt bought 74 times more pulses than UPA govt. Between 2009-2014, UPA govt just procured only 1.52 LMT pulses at MSP whereas, this govt procured 112.28 LMT pulses at MSP. Also, in 2013-2014, the MSP for Tur Dal was just Rs. 4300/quintal only whereas in 2020-2021, the MSP for Tur Dal has been substantially increased to Rs. 6000/quintal. Then, how can one turn their eye blind to these visible facts and figures??? Thus, the opposition arguments about MSP is totally baseless. You can verify these facts and figures through various agricultural websites as it is freely available in the public domain. Through these reforms, farmers will get the freedom of choice to sell in APMC mandi or choose any other seller. He/she will get multiple options to sell. He/she can be ensured of better prices through competition. He/she can sell directly to anyone and earn higher prices. Regarding, the court settlement of disputes, do they want to drag these honest, poor and innocent farmers to the web of lengthy, expensive, cumbersome legal procedures of Indian judicial system???. Nowadays, it is taking more time to get a dispute redressal in a reasonable manner. You must also note that most of SDM's are young IAS recruits who entered the system with the utmost vigour, competence and ardent devotion to doing good for the society. You should also note that the workload of a local judge is more than the same as an SDM. Of course, no system is perfect and blemishes-free. Even if a farmer is allowed the option to approach the court, there is no guarantee he/she will get a suitable redressal because of the widespread corruption in the Indian legal system. I often find that people from South of India and even from other countries are baffled by the generosity of the Sikh’s. I can understand it may be a cultural shock to see how through the ritual of langars, food and other items are provided free of charge to any human being. Simply put they are following the teachings of their gurus. 1. Kirt Karo - Do the work 2. Vand Chako- share your food with others 3. Naam Japo - recite the name of the lord. There are many internationally acclaimed Sikh organisations now such as Khalsa Aid, Sikh Volunteers Australia etc that are bringing laurels to the great teachings and philosophy of one of the youngest but most spiritually advanced religions in the world. Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh!
Sikhi is not religion, it’s a way of life. You lead a clean life, stand up for the downtrodden, no caste, earn your livelihood with fair means, then you are a Sikh, which means you got to learn each day and improve upon it.
I am from the south west USA. I have studied Sikhism and have visited many Gurudwaras. I have such RESPECT, love, and care for Sikhs who APPLY the teachings OF Guru Granth Sahib. Their noble sacrifices to protect the vulnerable and the purity of their holy book. Please stay safe!!! Each life of every GOOD Indian farmer ... each Jatt is to be revered respected and protected. I have read of technology developed in America to revert the destruction of soil by pesticides and over- use. I shared it with a dear friend, a farmer. I pray it was understood. I can share again if anyone is interested😃🙏. May Modi wake up, change his ways and be forgiven like all who strive to destroy India’s breadbasket and her farmers. Satnam Waheguru

If somebody wants to understand how farmers getting these supplies: Every person in sikh community who is earning, reserves 10% of their earnings for donation every month. Its something thats been taught to us by our parents since we are born. Its something thats been drilled down in us since our first guru (Guru Nanak) who preached to follow 3 most important rule (3 pillars of sikhism): 1 - Kirat Karo (Earn with your hardwork and your mental and physical effor without deceiving anyone) 2 - Naam Japo (Take god's name "waheguru" everyday) 3 - Vand Chako (Share whatever you earn with everyone irrespective of their cast, creed, color, sexuality) Vand chako is what we call dasvanth (10% of what you earn)
In my life, i experience many a times that the sikh community is whole heartedly helpful in difficult times irrespective of any caste or religion. Salute to them. Our India is great.

In corona time.. When our sikh feed everywhere.. At that time no one ask us from where u get money for this langer free food u serve..but know when farmers start fight for hismelf.. U called them khalistani.. Shame on u...

So, I suggest each and every one approach the issue in a more open and unbiased manner. We cannot allow our emotions to rule over the visible facts, figures and realities. I know I am not that educated but I always try to approach an issue in an honest way without any prejudices. This is my introductory response to your question. And, I hope I covered major issues projected by the protestors. I adopted sikhism last year and i am proud of it. I was a proud hindu, believe in it still, all gods are same but Guru Gobind Singh ji attracted me so much i dont even know how it happened. It just happened. Sikhism is great if you just try to get to know it a bit. Translations are just eye opening. Only Guru Gobind Singh Ji made this happen. Amd trust me my life changed after that i didn't turn back after that time and everything positive. I'm s believer not superstitious or illogical guy.
You're welcome mate. However remember that superstition is still spread in vast amount even in Sikhism. For eg how we are being told stories like 'guru nanak stopped a big stone with his bare hand', 'how black crows turned white', 'how the water at golden temple is all powerful' etc. That might be true but it is matter of strong proof. Personally I don't believe in them. We better stay away from anything other than "Knowledge".
@Arvinder Singh No bro. Not even bullets can peirce through 2 humans, let alone an arrow piercing through 20 humans. It is good to hear and imagine, but it is not practical. Our Gurus were not magicians or super sayians. They were human beings made from flesh and blood but had great minds.
Ramandeep Singh I don’t think you have common sense, someone like Sikhism after reading the history, Gurbani etc, and you are writing all negative, even these stories are true not superstitions, if you don’t believe, it’s your choice.

These are the laws passed1- Farmers' Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020 ; 2- Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020; 3- Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020. First of all, I must enumerate different eminent personalities, both economists and agricultural experts, who are in favour and support of these new farm laws, which I found very valid after reading their articles. Arvind Panagariya, who is a famous Indian-American economist and a professor of economics at Columbia University, openly supported the new farm laws. Surjit Bhalla, who is an Indian economist and is currently the Executive Director for India at the International Monetary Fund, supported these new farm laws. Ashok Gulati, who is an Indian agricultural economist and a former chairman of the Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices, the advisory body of the Government of India on food supplies and pricing policies, supported these new laws. Even the most celebrated author Chetan Bhagat supported the farm laws and the entry of foreign retailers in agri-marketing. Nobel laureate Abhijit Banerjee didn't make a single argument favouring the repeal/revoke of the new farm laws. Rather, he suggested the government to just postpone the implementation of these farm laws citing COVID reason. Therefore, one can understand, he favours the implementation of laws rather than its repeal/revoke. Ex-RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan, in one of his interviews with Barkha Dutt in Mojo story, opined that the NDA government doesn't intend to hurt the interest of farmers. He favoured the competition in agri-marketing through the entry of foreign and Indian corporates and retailers simultaneously ensuring the existence of mandis. This is what the new farm laws are also promising. Swaminathan Iyer, who is an Indian economist, journalist, and columnist and he is consulting editor for the Economic Times and writes regularly for the Economic Times and The Times of India, also supported these new farm laws.
@Ravindra Karma with all due respect no other religion is even a distant match yet! Perhaps Christianity is the only other. Sense of community ( without prejudice) is strongest in these two communities. There is no need to feel confronted. More important to reflect and transform. At the first news of any calamity the sikhsare there to help right away. It is highly commendable. Appreciating someone only elevates our own being. Think about it. 🙏

@@sankarvenugopal2860 Just give the states a choice and let the states observe the compliant states for a few years. If these laws are really so beneficial for farmers, the centre should have no qualms letting the states decide for themselves if they want them or not, INSTEAD of stepping on federal rights of states given to them by Schedule 7 State List of Indian Constitution.
@@sankarvenugopal2860 I don't think anybody better than farmers knows what's good for them and what's not. These laws are nothing but beneficial to big corporates. At first corporates will offer good prices to farmers sidelining the APMC markets and once that happens then APMC will slowly start disappearing from the picture. And boom there will be no trace of APMC markets left and farmers will be the ones who'll be exploited because they'll have no choice but to sell their crops at whatever price companies have to offer. Forget about MSPs, corporates won't even give sufficient money to farmers that they can continue to keep the home fires burning. Also when companies will buy crops in bulk and after long intervals then small farmers will suffer the most because they don't have enough and adequate space for storage of their crops so their produce will be destroyed. All this happened with Bihar when APMC was removed and there the farmers suffered immensely. Most of them fled to Punjab and Haryana due to this reason. Powerful investors would bind farmers to unfavourable contracts drafted by big corporate law firms, with liability clauses that would be beyond the understanding of poor farmers in most cases. Govt is trying to remove middlemen or arthiyas but even under the three bills they'll still remain and these laws will do nothing but create more problems for farmers. Arhtiyas don’t cheat farmers. Big companies simply cannot deal directly with thousands of farmers; they need someone to aggregate. In all probability, the same arhtiyas who worked in sarkari mandi would offer their services to the private agribusiness that sets up a private mandi. So, the farmers will suffer two layers of middlemen in the new private mandis: the bad-old commission agent plus the new corporate super middleman. The dispute resolution mechanism proposed in the new laws is a literal joke. Getting even single govt official's signature these days makes your chappal literally wear out by making the rounds of govt buildings and even after all that I don't know how you can expect that SDM will favour farmers because there are so many records where famers has been oppressed and companies benefitted in such cases. You named merely one or two people who support laws but I can give you a huge list of people who are against it. Not one, not two but 32 farmers unions from Punjab and many other farmers unions from other states came together to oppose these atrocious laws. Talking about economists and experts go read anthropologist like Mekhala Krishnamurthy, an activist like Kavitha Kuruganti, or a grounded economist like Sudha Narayanan and you'll know the reality. Many things mentioned in the bills just look good on paper but projections about how these acts will be implemented are wishful thinking. Farmers are peacefully protesting against these three bills. Don't even try to link it with any party, religion caste or creed. You literally have to be blind to see terrorists or Khalistanis in this protest. If govt wants to pass farm laws then they should consult and listen to the farmers. Basic common sense! You say govt brought the laws for farmers' welfare. Well if it isn't still clear then lemme tell you that farmers don't want it so the govt should just simply take it back. There is no point in nonsensical debates over debates with farmers and not repelling the law even after so much backlash. This is just pure ignorance from Modi govt's end. The govt is being a sellout and just thinking about corporates and ignoring the farmers. Nope this is not gonna work. India is not dictatorial country. We will stand strong for our rights. Also for more facts and figures you can also watch NDTV Ravish Kumar's prime time reports, you'll get every information with full stats with the source and you can cross check the article yourself. There are many youtubers who are covering this issue and providing full info and truth about the protest and farm laws. Maybe give a break to godi media and "mujhe drug do drug do guy" and you might actually learn something productive.
@@ashmeetkaur4016 First I must respond to your statement on Bihar. . I must use some statistics to prove your claim on Bihar baseless. It was Pm A B Vajpayee first initiated through the Model APMC Act, 2003. Bihar entirely did away with its APMC Act in 2006. Broadly speaking, states such as Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, that implemented the Model Act efficiently and effectively, have seen agriculture grow faster than other states. The agricultural sector growth at annual average rates between 2006-2007 and 2018-2019 for these states are 7.1%, 5.3%, 3.9% and 6.8% respectively. The corresponding growth rate in Punjab was a paltry 1.8%. Please look at the irony on the prism of agriculture policy Punjab is following. It is a baseless criticism to compare the poverty of Bihari farmers to the prosperity of Punjabi farmers to argue that APMC reform hurt Bihar. Bihari farmers are poorer than their Punjabi counterparts despite faster agricultural growth in Bihar in recent years because the Bihari farmers started out far poorer. Punjab, which had ranked second among all states in per-capita Net State Domestic product ranking till 1992-1993, fell to the 10th rank in 2018-2019. Please read my statements in an open, unbiased manner. And, you can check the authenticity of these facts and figures by browsing through the respective studies by different agricultural experts and organisations. From now on, please avoid using the state Bihar to promote your propaganda. Hope I satisfied your questions.

Please confront me with your disagreements so that we can have a fair and healthy discussion about the laws, which I ardently believe that will have a positive and tremendous impact on the Indian agricultural sector.
@@sankarvenugopal2860 Bhai ji we don't want that private corporates allow to buy our stuff bcoz when govt allow them ,they would give high rates to the farmers for 2 or 3 yrs so that all the farmers give their stuff to them .on the other hand govt mandis will automatically shut down bcoz no one will give their stuff to them similarly u can see the present conditions of our govt schools, hospitals etc.so govt mandis will automatically shut down.when they shut down then private corporates decide crops rate according to their will.Thats why we are opposing these farms law.Bhai u need to study. There are more things to discuss in farm laws.
@@rocketlauncher1964 Respected sir, I humbly disagree. What about the states with no APMC mandis? Who will buy the produce from the farmers of those states with no APMC mandis? Why can't APMC mandi can't compete with these corporates to give better prices to our farmers? For example, in Delhi, there is AIIMS (a govt institution), Mohalla Clinics (a government institution), BLK Hospital, Sir Gangaram Hospital ( both are corporates), but still, AIIMS Delhi is existing strong open and not shut down. Please consider the welfare of the farmers of other states too. If APMC Mandi will give better prices to the farmers they will exist per se. The only problem and disadvantage are middlemen and power-brokers of these APMC mandis will face profit-cuts. Why do farmers want to struggle for ensuring profits to the middlemen?
@@sankarvenugopal2860 Bhai ji if farmers are saying that they don't need these farm laws then why did govt pass these laws. There are thousands and thousands of farmers at singhu border protesting over there do u mean they are illiterate. Don't believe on Godi media.they don't have the guts to show truth to the nation. Godi media says how a farmer can speak English, wear white kurta pajamas, or buy expensive vehicles. When Sikhs feed thousands of thousands people during this pandemic they are sardar ji, patriotic, but when Sikhs give food to the farmers, providing them basic commodities.NGo like khalsa aid , they said they are khalistanis.try to understand bro our feelings .if our nation needs our blood in the future ,we will .our gurus sacrificed their lives for the humanity, our Punjabis sacrificed lives for the freedom of nation,we feed people irrespective of their religion.we are always Ready on borders to save our nation, nation forgot bhagat Singh, udam Singh ji,kartar Singh sraba, stop tag us anti nationals.sada kise naal ber nhi asi aukhe Han sarkara tu.we will fight till our last breath. Sat Shri akaal.we belong to that panth who want sarbat da Bala..I don't want to argue with u further.hospitals like AIIMS Delhi we know about it very well.
These people are managing so well without government , how can these people b mislead? As government wants to portray. SALUTE TO KISAN.God plz give them strength, protect them.
@Lingam Power u r living in canada or in Africa ..i dont care ...the thing is that respect food that u r eating ...when u r taking every bite of ur food ...u must be thankful to that farmer who r giving u this ...if u r eating food it is ur responsiblity to support them ...that is the lend of ur food u r eating ...u have to pay that .....nd brother m stupid ....I hope u r very intelligent
Muslums r united but very easy target of media. They r very easily called as terrorist. Most of the teachings of Sikhism is In Islam too. But if they get fund or International support then they ll be tagged as terrorists. Delhi markaz case while Corona lock down is a fresh example.
Learn from what? If muslims would do something like this, we'd be targetted as terrorists. If they'd see a Muslim walking around with a sword or a krippa he'd be booked for terrorism. Shaheen bagh was also blamed as a terror plot only reason it survived was because the protest was carried out by mostly women. I'm not saying what the Sikhs are doing is wrong but atleast in India muslims can't protest as openly without being jailed for terrorism with false evidences.
@स्वदेशी देश-भक्त Islam is a religion not a tribe/race, its wide spread so the actions of people in another continent have it's impact on muslims living in India even if there's no connection. You might think we have a bad reputation but if that was true we'd be a declining religion not an increasing one.
What's up with especially Muslims don't you know who is distributing food right now to farmers the Muslims are doing it in large no and even if any Muslim go protesting out for their right they are ended up being called terrorists or jihads don't be narrow minded respect everyone
Don’t know why I’m still waiting To be part of this historic Protest by PAnjab.. Don’t worry PAnjab Singh .. u know well why we left our mother land .. We r just one cal away.. Long live PAnjab
Farmers Protest this time is the 'mother of all protest' independent India has witnessed. This is history being made in real time teaching everyone the world over how to stand against authoritarian powers and bullies. Well done farmers!! well done everyone!! who is with the farmers at this moment in time. You are on the right side of history. Thank you for reminding us democratic and constitutional values needs to be upheld. Bullies and Liars need to be shown their place.
READ IT AT YOU OWN RISK. IT MIGHT CHANGE YOUR THINKING ABOUT THE ONGOING PROTESTS AND OUR COUNTRY ...DONOT LIKE THE COMMENT. I AM NOT BEGGING FOR LIKES! Instead of criticizing and asking for a complete repeal, why dont you clearly read the bill and suggest reforms needed instead of a full repeal? I am asking for a constructive criticizm with the central government instead of protesting. Do you even have any idea on how much amount of loss the country is facing per day because of such destructive protests?? Would you like to see the entire country India in economic danger or a contructive criticizm which i believe the government is welcoming? I believe the farmers must work with dialogues instead of such protests which are causing more harm than good. There are even farmers from UP and Rajasthan, who produce more than Haryana and Punjab but are not against the bill. Aap toh desh ke annadata ho. Main haath jod ke aapko request karta hu. Kindly iss protest ko bandh kar dijiye, isse desh ka nuksaan ho raha hai. baad mein mehngaai badhegi jisse common people ko taqleef hogi. I am completely neutral and have not mentioned any political comments. Punjab Bharat ka shaan hai. aap log roz kitne logo ko bina caste, creed etc nahi puchke sabko khana dete hain. Kripiya, aap aise kuch na karein jisse, common man ko taqleef ho. main iski bhik maangta hu aapse. Jai Jawan, jai Kisan. Bolo Jai hind. Main koi political party ka naam nahi le raha hu. Aap khud sochiye, isse desh ka kitna nuksaan ho raha hai. Agar aapko lagta hai ki central govt. kharap hai toh, aapke protest se pura desh ko nuksaan ho raha hai. Main aapko haath jod ke ye bheek maang raha hu, ki aap thora sa logically soche aur fir critisize kare. Cant we all rise above Political Parties and all petty politics and think about the country as a whole just like our beloved Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam did? Cant we all unite instead of Hindu-Muslim division ideology and think of this nation as a whole? Cant we all uphold our flag above our chests and kick any anti-national who speaks against the nation as a whole? If we 125 crore people want, we can do anything we want for the betterment of our country. The only thing that stops us is our division. Just like China and South Korea did, rising above all politics and being crystal clear to develop their country and bring better lives to their citizens. Please, my dear and respected Indians, lets make this country see the golden era again. Please, i beg you. I am a youth of this country and after analyzing everything of this country i am writing this. I fall under the age group of 18-23. Please donot like this reply. Just read it and suggest me constructive critisizm of this comment. critisizing any political party is not allowed. We all are a part of politics and all belong to one party, that is Humanity, love and compassion. I leave it upon you guys to decide what changes must be made to this comment to make it more constructive, and enlightening.

@@anamveersingh531 Mai parva kartu hu kyunki main apne bhai behen o ko Delhi ke iss thand mein sarak pein baitha huwa nahi dekh sakta. aap khud ek baat socho, lets keep farmers demand aside, why are you guys demanding the release of Anti national naxalites from the NRC, CAA protest who were proven guilty by the court of Justice?? What does NRC, CAA have to do with the farmers protest? Aap ki khud ki sarkar ne pehle ambani ko Punjab state mein investment karne ke liye bulaya tha aur ab aap khud Ambani, corporates ko boycott karne ki baat kar rahe he? aap agar inn baaton ko demand karenge toh sarkar kaise aapki baat manegi? You cant ask for their release when they are proven anti national and guilty by the court of justice which is not under any govt. control and its final judgements are non-corrupted. Agar aapko iss bill ko repeal karwana hai toh aap court kyu nahi jaate, isse toh kuch dino mein hi samadhan nikal jayega aur desh ka itna nuksaan nahi dena hoga. Aap khud soch ke dekhiye, aapke protests ke waje se baad ki cheezo ki price itni baar jayegi ki common log isse kharid nahi payenge. Isse ultimately hum common logo ka nuksaan hai. agar aapke farm ke products kharidne ke kisi ke paas paise hi nahi honge, toh aap aise hi loss mein rahenge. Sir, aap chinte na kare mai Godi media nahi dekhta hu, lekin itni baat toh mujhe common sense se hi pata lag raha hai. Kindly aap iska answer denge.

******* Where ever Justice not in-action then wait for big punch from our lord in shape of many disasters to the Nation. Very painful to know about our Indian-Kisan-Farmers condition* now they have come-out from their houses and protest under the sky to get the proper facilities from the government for all of us to cultivate the food. We have taught in the colleges, our development based on Green-revolution after that we entered in Industrial-revolution. Farmers are not only backbone of developed Countries, they have well known as our food-kitchens where we get day/night meals, Farmers standing among us, just like at home the relationship of Parents and Children. The problem is our Corrupt-politicians, imaging all-time Five-Stars-Hotel-life. Simply, use and through the food plates. Who will teach them to do the Justice, Respect & Love, how many hands are involve’s to bring the food in your eating plate, *where ever Justice not in-action then wait for big punch from our creator in shape of many unseen disaster breakout to the Nation* .
