They seems happy despite of being apart for many decades and despite of the language barrier until now . I Iove what Jeannette said that they fight ,hate and argue but when she look into her husbands eyes she knew she loves him ,so sweet!
Sulai has lived such a humble life from an undeveloped country. He doesnt have her level of secular education nor has he had to deal with complexities of a modern world. I think that there was no other choice than for her to give up her life and simplify since he would not be able to integrate into her world as easily as she could in his. It really is a fascinating story and I really am rooting for them. Unlike some of the other couples this pair has their share of obstacles. Language barrier being one of the biggest since they really cant sit down and have an in depth conversation. Their connection is special tho and I hope it endures And grows.
I think this couple have loved each other for many many lives, the way they where immediately attracted to each other and stayed in each others minds for all those years they where apart. Then also life bringing them together through her daughter, this is the univers saying quite loudly that they belong together and this love is transcendent.
It's my favorite couple again! Sulai and Jeanette😄 Well, I think the language barrier can be a bit of a problem but then we have seen so many couples who speak the same language crumble to pieces. As long as you are happy and don't feel suffocated in the relationship, that's already such a blessing🥰
Thank you for update with Sulai and Jeanette. Someone needs to make a movie about their love story. It seems magical, although I know they have struggles at times. I hope you plan to keep more updates coming about them!
i first visited thailand in 1973 mostly in isaan. the newspapers were covering the making of The man with the golden gun which was filmed in bangkok and near phi phi island. i went there again in 2004 and visited james bond island. yes much has changed. never did find scaramonga’s lair. the sulai/jeanette journey is very heartening. makes me a little weepy as it reminds of losing my thai wife (48 years) in dec 2022 but hopeful that true love is still out there. this true love thing is not exactly a straight line. koh lanta remains very high on my bucket list. thank you as always for reminding us that connection, family, friends, love, and thai food is all you need. tim
I have seen first episode and this one really amazing on top of that. In spite of having language and cultural difference Sulai & Jeanette stay together and appreciate keep their relationship intact. No relationship is perfect. Its a learning for todays generation who look only for their own ways and self centered gratifications. Thanks very much

My guess is if Jeanette had stayed in Thailand when she met Sulai then maybe they both wouldn’t be so set in their ways, they were young and free spirited then and would have evolved together. It’s normal to become what you experience ….. by our mid 50s we are pretty much set in our ways. I find it amazing that they still love each other and want to be together despite the challenges 😘💕💕💕💕 I can understand Jeanette’s situation as a young Swedish woman because I had two friends in the early 90s, she was a beautiful blond Norwegian and was together with a very handsome Filipino. He went to live in Norway …. sadly he returned home, it didn’t work out. That’s how it was then in Scandinavia

No computer! We live us life when Covi19 happens I was sick and the first thing I saw in my dreams was him again and I hear a voice say why you don’t look in the internet we in the tech years ! I did and I found but his resisted to message me back however later on his did I was happy I could die 😅fell I finally after leave my life divorce and alone for the last 10 years I fell alive again then we meet again and we got married! Phi Phi has such a good vibe, it is true paradise 🌴 . The lookout is also breathtaking! We went up there at 5.30 in the morning. Was worth every step🤩💛. This story couldn't have come at a better time for me. Somehow, I have managed to survive seven years with a Nth.Thai partner with minimal English speaking skills and my limited Thai language. Discussing personal relationship issues becomes a babel of confusion and frustration. Fortunately, there are other ways to communicate. Great job with this video guy's.
Loved the video. Wish she would just learn to speak Thai on one of those smart phone apps. She is smart lady and she has time. He seem to be trying hard to speak good English. Just love the little doggie and was so glad to see for some of the boat ride he seemed leashed cuz I so afraid he will fall overboard and they will lose him/her.
