I have a dozen X10 that I never checked for straightness when I got them.(my bad) I checked them the other day an 5 out of the 10 where bent after a year of shooting.Carbon will either be straight or broken.Aluminum will bend and never let you know.
I find that aluminum arrows get bent more than carbon arrows witch sucks , next year I,m going to switch to carbon fiber , it seams like when I hit something hard like a wood back drop I bend my arrows , my daughter uses mossy oak carbon fiber arrows rated for a 60 pound bow & she’s shooting half that like 30 pounds so I think I,m going with a 70 pound rated arrow because I shoot at 40 pounds plus I,ve never seen a carbon fiber arrow explode hitting a hard target .
That’s because there are about 3 main types of points (broadheads, screw in field points, and glue in target points) and none of them come with the arrows.
Easton turned lazy nowadays, there are better, more durable and still just as precise alternatives already. And I am talking about every type of arrow like hunting, youth, practice and pro target.
I once got a dozen of Easton Platinum Plus XX75 1616 arrows from my coach to replace my preexisting PP XX75 1616 arrows. On paper both are supposed to be the exact same. However the new dozens i got was short of a few inches compared to my preexisting ones. Both sets are supposedly uncut, but the length is different. Even my coaches said that Easton 'couldnt be this bad'. Is it a problem of failed QC? Thats a few inches different! Big screw up by Easton
