Havertz is genuinely getting better. Considering this is just his second year in the team.

2 things that really impressed about Havertz this game: 1. That was a proper strike. We've seen it before but not very often. Usually his goals are about his runs and positional advantage. This one hits so different. It really felt like he thought "f this, im taking charge of this". A FAR cry of this time last season when he kept passing the ball away even when he was clear on goal 1 on 1 vs the keeper. 2. His celebration was quick and he immediately went back to position to restart. He didnt live in that 1 goal. He WANTED to win the game, a draw wasnt going to be enough. Both of these are primarily a mentality thing. Arteta was right all along, Havertz had the capability and the smarts all along,. It shows how much confidence can affect a player. Now hot take: Jesus has a similar problem right now. We're writing him off now because he DID NOT play good enough. But Jesus's issue seems to be that he wants to prove himself so much, it keeps clouding his decision making. Martinelli had the same issue just a few games ago. I know we, as fans, never want him to start again, but I trust Arteta sees this problem for what it is and will do what he can to milk the best out of him again, or recognize when its just not enough anymore and move him on in the appropriate time. Our gaffer is owed that much

the one thing no one talks about regarding Havertz is he grew from 1'88 in his Leverkusen days to 1'93 today. This happened between ages 19 - 25 which is not typical. I can't imagine how hard it is to face these changes as an adult. He is proving he's not just a talent but a mental monster if he overcomes, evolves, and becomes world class after that whole thing.

His decision making has also become slow and selfish too. Refusing to play the pass in to a running player in better position. Over dribbling instead of the simple "give and go" action.

already on 7 in 10 games in all comps. if he keeps this rate and plays 50 games (51 last year) that’s pace for 35 in all comps. in just the prem, he’s on pace for about 25.

I remember the first analysis of how Havertz uses space to draw defenders away and how he makes sacrificing runs, Arsenal fans were like "that's not what we bought him for" but now we all see how his movement has improved the team so much.

Nope not the only one! I wanted Kai since he was at Bayer Leverkusen. I loved his style of play and just thought he was perfect for us until he went to Chelsea. I am sooo happy he plays for us!

Well, tbf, we didn't bring him in to be a #9. We brought him in to play the midfield, but Jesus going down forced our hand to play him as a CF and it paid off. I wasn't keen on him just because I didn't think he would fit the role of Xhaka, and he kind of hasn't. He's proven though that he's a quality #9 that can also play as a false 9 when we need to play more defensively. I will say I didn't write him off nearly as early as everyone else did. Ironically when I finally had enough was like the game before he went on a tear for us haha. If only I kept the faith in him for one extra week 😂

@@Jkev24 repeated everything I hear from pundits and podcasters, well I don't listen to them so I never cared about their narrative, arteta has never publicly said he bought havertz to replace xhaka because that's absolutely not the case, havertz is not a number 9,he is not our number 9 because we clearly don't need one, what number 9 in world football do you know playing so many roles in one game? None, only havertz and he does it effortlessly.

@@mills1177 you can improve at that age but that's not young. This one is from hero to zero to hero again. The improvement here is unusual because it's a massive improvement as if he's from 18 to 20 like that.
