THANKS, THANKS,THANKS ... I had to reset my Asus X554L to factory settings. Everything worked out fine, Win10 installed itself. After that I added a few things like Google chrome, Skype etc ... everything worked great, so I still had to install my printer tomorrow, I thought ... but when I started my laptop I had an illuminated gray screen and the arrow of the mouse. So ... panic ... so much work for nothing, I thought. So went to search on Google, but I'm a layman of 73 years old, so everything was not clear. I also have a recovery drive for Win10, but it did nothing. Then just go to RU-vid to watch and came on your video. Tap ... tap the home button and F2 and there came the Asus logo, the circle started rotating and ... everything seems fine now. I am so happy and thank you again for your video. I hope everything stays fine now. I just subscribed on your chanel! Wish you a nice day and stay healthy during this time of Corona!!! Regards from Croatia from a happy old Granny!!!

Thank you it worked for me i tapped esc and F2 at the same time right from when I power the laptop on and the ez boot mood didn’t appear, and slowly the windows sign came up and I had to download a update that it automatically did thru bootmood then returned back to windows normal sign in screen.. great result I kept trying every other way and it wasn’t working

For people that didnt understand here are the steps to enable CSM support , if you wanna enable CSM support (cuz people are somehow struggling with this in the comments) turn on your pc and keep pressing F2 until the options menu pops up press F7 to enter advanced mode then click on SECURITY option then click CSM support. Enable it and Voilà ! Hope this comment helped someone

FKbajwa. Thank you. It seems such a small word. You are the only one who showed Safe Boot to be at the bottom of that menu. The rest if us are perhaps too pannicked to see the gap at the bottom. Thank you again I will never forget.

F2 to get the boot menu. You can as well clone your drive easily now to your new drive before hand. In this laptop, very easy to do since 2 spaces already. No need for an adaptor. Thanks a lot for your video showing be how to deal with it all as a noob. Awesome. :)

Mine said the same thing I reformated my hard drive and set its partition to active using easeus partition (you can download it for free) Then I've added a windows 10 on that hard drive and used it as the 1st option to boot up just like what was done on the video and kaboom it automatically installs the windows it really just super damn slow and you need to have a lot of patience. I literally haven't slept for a straight night up til' 10 in the morning until I've finished it.

For those who can’t resolve the problem even you tried all method from Google and RU-vid. I just experienced this issue, and I found the traditional method works well which is just slapping ur laptop for few times. Shut it down, unplug the power source, slap the bottom of ur laptop for 5-10 times and turn it on (don’t slap too hard)

I don’t see CSM on my screen too. This might happened due to the loose problem of your wiring. So just slap it if you have tried all method.

OMG IT WORKS! THANKYOU SO MUCH! Need to get it fixed cus online classes. Quarantine schooling ain't life bro. To those Wondering why it would stay stuck in the black screen, it's because you have to download windows from another PC and create a USB/DVD tool. After downloading the prerequisites that are compatible to you computer/laptop, insert that Flashdrive or DVD drive, and follow the instructions here.

For those who this did not work, try this (worked for me): - Using Rufus with GPT (UEFI:No CSM) - Disable Secure Boot; - Boot by USB by selecting your USB pen on F8 (Boot Menu); - Install, done

Too late XD but here are the steps : boot your pc. Keep pressing F2 then go to Advanced Mode (F7) then go to the SECURITY option then enable CSM option

@@clintonrudicil7042 yeah I fixed it, but a little sacrifice is needed. All you gotta do is transfer the OS to the storage method you're using via external HDD or SSD

I had a problem. Changed HDD to SSD. Laptop stuck on boot load. Looked like the bios didn't see the SSD. Couldn't access bios unless unplugged the ssd. Settings change didn't help. After 1 week of suffering, found the solution - bought a new SSD. Looks like SSD must be preformatted in a certain way to be recognized...
