They can change colors but only slightly! And only when VERY stressed for a VERY long time And not all lotls can change to salamanders since wild lotls do no have this ability the only reason captives can is because they are crossbred with tiger salamanders
Ppl in the comment section are worried abt stressing these animals out when the world has been draining their ecosystems and left their entire species to a population of around a 1000 only.
@@Silver_MC exactly bruh! It's like these softies love to want something to care about. The same device they're using to watch this video is the same device they can use use to search Axolotl and find 1000s from all over the world. So it's like wtf are they talking about. 😂 Oh yea that's right, what I said earlier, something to care about.
Bro I hope you know that moving waters can make them superrrrrr stressed and could possibly take some life span from them. Not being a Karen just caring for the animals 😢
Bro I’ve had an axolotl for almost a year and I’ve never seen it change colour plus poring water when it’s moved will put stress on them and at that size you should keep them separated from each other because they’ll turn against each other and have a full on deathmach
@@shackleDev yeah, I don't have any axolotls but I know a lot about them, also pisses me off how people will buy them without knowing anything about them mainly because of Minecraft
Bro everyone gonna look stupid WHEN THESE ANIMALS TURN EXTINCT BECAUSE OF THESE TYPES OF PPL edit:I just looked how many wild axolotl are left you people who do that should be shamed if you did the same thing putting a plate and stressing them out 50-1,000 axolotls left on this earth there is not gonna be none if you don’t take care of them…. Edit:real quick silence bc this is the most ever likes I ever had- 😭 Anyways the Internet lied to me so-
I feel like yeah if just these people had axolotls they will end up extinct but I’m hoping they don’t because they’re are good breeders and keepers and hopefully the wild population isn’t dealing with becoming extinct
Don't worry, us axolotls breeders take care of axolotls and breed them- ofc 💅 I've just bred mine and theyve had so many babies! Not all of them have survived but the ones that have are moving and eating, you can see in their little bellies :)
It is not fake. It is a special chemical put into the axolotl that makes it change colors and also the axolotl will have a shorter life because of the chemical.
Stop this I can’t believe how cruel this world is you’re stressing the Axolotls I’m sure you already know you’re basics at axolotl keeping and their just babies :( water motion stresses them out and can die
@@jeffreyabinuman6683 he is right you know! Not only that but high currents like that can make them stressed and in some cases disrupt their slimecoat and make them very very sick. One should never EVER intentionally hurt an animal and especially not a severely endangered one. I don’t know who you think you are to be so rude but this is straight up abuse of this axolotl and telling people to touch grass and “find their father” because they are calling it out is just ignorant as hell-
@@kalila_mama the “fluff” of the gills is NOT AT ALL a breed type, that fluff is a huge part of how they breathe and without it they will literally drown and die . All axolotls who are well cared for and healthy will have long fluffy gills because that is an equivalent of having healthy lungs for them
This is why we get attacked! Firstly why the hell would you put them on a plate. Second they are getting stressed. This isn’t the society I want to live in. Have a good day/afternoon/night
@@jeffreyabinuman6683 awe thanks kevin I appreciate that shit ass quote you call a mouth. but who even asked you because i know damn well that your mom is probably h00king up with the mailman.😂 🖕 😊 have fun with your day.
These poor babies. Even if they aren't truly colored, they don't like water movement!! You should never pour water directly on an axolotl, as well as not have two in such a small space. 😔
@@FortheGoodofGeckosno not even a bubbler. Nothing. They don’t like currents or streams. You’re not even supposed to leave them next to an air vent or by the window. Just put sand and places to hide and an oxygen stone or something like that
It’s so not cool to harm these beautiful creatures and lie about them, come on, they aren’t chameleons, they can’t change colour, I already disliked the video.
@@feliciadiaz8806 well yes and no No axolotl can change colors like how these ones do that’s photoshop, but axolotls can change color if they have the piebald gene or if extremely stressed or sick but that’s only a small change and almost always a bad thibg
