So much more enjoyable to have the videos back to the usual format. When it’s filmed selfie style it seems to work better than the more glossy production style. If it’s not broke, don’t fix it!

My vote for buying a cheap car (or several cheap cars) instead of the one $44k car. This is because the cheap cars would probably sell more quickly than the one expensive car. That way, you’ll be able to reach the amount needed to buy a Ferrari more rapidly.

I would accept the fact that I screwed up and take a loss on the Bentley. Those car break themselves while sitting in the driveway. Buy 2 15k-20k trucks/suv's and move on. Nicer vehicles = less work even if it means less gross profit %. A bunch of cheap cars would be unmanageable since you are already short on time.

Would love a few $10K-$15K cars, those seem to be the sweet spot for a quick sale + healthy profit. A bunch of those will hit the benchmark in no time.

As a trucker I constantly fight the grime on the steering wheel of my truck. It drives me crazy. It doesn’t mean I am dirty. I just can’t wear gloves dealing with things outside my truck. But I keep Clorox wipes and clean my steering wheel and shifter daily.

Totally agree with using specialist subcontractor so you can do something more useful for your business. Velocity of money. PS1- Good idea to use someone who is also renting a space in your building. PS2 - also a good way to scout out future employees.

Never let money sit if you’re investing? Maybe do a 3 way challenge? You, your dad, and German? See who buys and makes more profits? Put that into the flip and the winner gets to drive the Ferrari first!!! Great info!

I would buy 2 or 3 decent cars. $50,000 cars are a little harder to sell. Might slow down the series.

For some reason it would be fun to see what you could get for $40K, but I do think its easier to sell a 7K car. So think I would go for more cheaper cars than one more expensive one.

Agree with comment below about maximising your profit. You know the vehicle market, so you should also know if one big buy will give you best return, or would a number of smaller investments reap more return? That and what is available to you at resonable price at auction. Pretty much a moving target, but you do not want some exotic like the Bentley if it has a very limited buyer market. Then it sits around for ages wasting your money. I watch you, I learn. Now you need to learn over that Bentley and get rid of it as quickly as you can to reinvest the money.

I really enjoy watching these videos from the UK. It’s mad how similar some things are and then how different they are between the UK and US. I know it’s a lot of money, but I’d take a loss on the Bentley and look to start again.

There is a guy on RU-vid Chrisfix he did a good video on removing those scratches with touch-up paint. Basically you full it in with touch-up paint and then use a blade that has tape on both sides to prevent gouging the paint to scrape off access and then you buff it.

Gibson is a known maker of good quality performance exhaust parts. My F350 SD, which is a crew-cab, 4WD, long bed, with a Warn bumper & winch I bought out of a field in Central Oregon (the previous owner passed away). When I did the heads & all the consumable parts, I put Remflex header gaskets, Stage 8 fasteners, thermal coated Gibson headers, SPD Y-pipe kit, and a Gibson cat-back side-exit exhaust...the V10 averages about 10.7 mpg and has gotten a best of 12.2 mpg in this form

Best way to get key scratches out, a good wetsand/buff unless all the way to metal, that would be repaint

For the Key marks youll need to have the panels repainted. Most likely the key cut throught the clear coat and myabe the base coat. Polishing will not fix it. There may also be small indents to fix depending on how hard they pushed the key into the panel.

Yep, I started out being a sub contractor doing interior trim for New Home builders. Then on to being a New Home Building Contractor using sub contractors to build new homes. I made a lot of money ! That's the way you do it !!

My vote is to go for the cheap cars. We have no idea which way the economy is going to head, so it might be safer to have 4 or 5 cheaper cars than one very expensive on, like the Bentley.

Since Tax season is close at hand I would suggest buying 4 or 5 cars that people would normally be looking for this time of year. As long as you have room and time to fix them. Make them safe and pretty. Good luck Cheers

Another great video with good solid content! That Tundra should fly out of the lot, good purchase. Some people are so filthy, they treat there vehicles like an ashtray, dog house, and urinal all in one. I worked for years at a dealer auction, and it got to the point where I felt like taking a bath in hand sanitizer every day. I like the multiple cheap cars method..maybe make a cheap car lot out of the money to keep it rolling. I think more expensive cars are flashy but what is the most helpful or entertaining is low end to middle of the road cars.

I'd stay in my wheelhouse. Unless you have a buddy down in Mass that does high end sales. That is what we did out of Londonderry Turnpike off 101. You sell perfect priced quick sell cars. Selling high end is a completely different atmosphere and process.

Have you ever considered moving to a free state? Less restrictions, more money, no inspection garbage. I see lots of these people struggle in New England but sell cars for the same price as in South Carolina for example with 50% less headache and cost

Just a quick note, you mentioned how gross people are and steering wheel etc, yet you had he key in your hand which is likely more gross cuz you can’t see the filth on it. I realize there’s no getting around it, just chuckled as you were adamant about not touching anything on that expedition. Think you should buy several vehicles instead of one vehicle. The Bentley is showing the challenge of trying to sell 30k vehicle. The profit would turn faster with more than just one.

But two to three cheep cars at a time. They’re turning over faster than the Bentley. You’re going to need to take a loss on it to move it. Average Joes want the car but can’t afford it. Gas, insurance, maintenance for it’s year and mileage. I live in Colorado and even here you would be hard pressed to sell it. Go see what car max will give you on it.

when you guys close for the day do you guys block the entrance to your car lot . here in ontario we have had a bunch of cars stolen from both new and used dealers lately.it’s too bad someone ruined that tundra by adding those marker lights .2007 and up tundras here in ontario canada in good shape still bring big money for how old they are .

The cheap(er) cars are the interesting ones. It's the kind of projects anyone can get into. Cars like the Bentley... It's nice, sure, but it's obviously hard to sell, harder if you want to make any kind of profit, and there would be more sensible things to invest that sort of money into. I likes when you brought German to the auction and both bought cars. I know you've said you don't want the hassle of multiple cars at once in the ferrari flip series, but it does make interesting videos, the investment vs. profit ratio is better, and you already have several cars in the flip series because you can't get rid of one of them... Focus on the lower price cars that actually moves quickly. Even if you get a dud once in a while and make a loss on it you'll make more money faster on the good ones.

Glad to see you sub some work out, like some of the larger dealers do these days. Smart move, assuming the pricing is right (I am sure you get good prices). I hope this revised business model works for you! Some constructive feedback: you made your point about subbing work out too many times, IMO. Twice would have been enough to make your point. Oh, I'd spend the $45 K on two or three cars and keep things turning.

Buy two Jeeps with no mods. Give one a Lift, big wheels and tires, Steel Bumpers, and winch. Keep the other stock. See which makes more profit.

with employees so tight hiring out jobs is just needed right now. I'll disagree in some ways it is because "no one wants to work" considering the UE rate here in NH reflects basically full employment. My college age son here in NH makes 8 hr more than my college age daughter in OH just because of the difference in opportunity.
