We get 3 months of outdoors paradise, with countless options to camp, hike, bike and overland. But the other 9 months suck! Weeks without seeing the sun, incessant rain, fog so thick you can't see the house across the street, wind blasts that knock garbage cans in the streets and spread trash everywhere, but the worst is then we get rains around 32 degrees, which freeze your car, streets, and sidewalks, and we can't leave the house for days, get deliveries, and most flights get canceled. Don't be deceived by rain stats, it does not matter how many inches of precipitation we get, I wish someone would count hour many hours in a month it rains and let me tell you it’s 90% of the time.
I am guessing you are referring to summer as the 3 months of paradise, but what about spring and fall? Those are honestly my favorite times of the year and when Portland is most beautiful in my opinion, but to each their own. 🤷 Thanks for watching! Ps - you nailed it on the freezing rain, we had a rough week but hopefully that won't happen again this winter!
