🇿🇦I think it’s time to leave Matt Williams alone on 7-1 split.I disagree with him but he is entitled to his opinion.All of us have held silly ideas in the past.Anyone should be allowed to discuss player safety.

I do think that the headlong rush by every nation to get a New Zealand coach has been to the detriment of the game. International sport should be about pitting the best your nation has to offer (including coaching staff) against the best of every other nation. Williams is right when he says that Australia has lost its way of playing, and that's true of a lot of countries (and I say this as a Wales fan who has enjoyed much success under New Zealand coaches).

As south africans 🇿🇦 we really miss australia as rugby opponents. SA has also had it's share of a bad rugby Patch round about the 2014 period and we are better now. You guys are experiencing it now unfortunately. Please fix your management. We miss you as worthy opponents in rugby. We want the real aussies back. Why not have a state of origin series like the NRL? Queensland vs NSW with players drawn in from elsewhere who originated in those states. It might rekindle interest in the game and provide publicity.

The strength and quality of the nrl is a huge factor also. Rugby in australia is just a shit product compared to the nrl. The penrith panthers has stronger juniors than the entire rugby australia. Thats one club. RA need to just go all in on a national club rugby comp and abandon the super duper 13 pacific cup or whatever the f$$$$$ its called

The problem was the Ausie player's,were running the game,not the coaches, Robbie Dean's,was trying to improve the base,or foundations of Ausie Rugby,by getting the club's,and school's on board,its a slow process, unfortunately,to slow for Ausie,Sad but true, Shouldn't have gotten rid of Dave,and rplaced him with Eddie,ah well, bit late to wonder what if now,

The problem with Australian Rugby is not Eddie! Eddie is a distraction and timely excuse for the Wallaby WC appalling performances. The REAL problem is 20 years of neglect by the ARU. The current Wallabies are a Tier 2 International team. Not one current Wallaby would make a World 15 team or a second or third World 15 team. Current Wallabies do not have the skills, knowledge and experience to be competitive. The whole Australian rugby system is broken.... For 20 years the ARU have intentionally neglected club rugby, school rugby, junior rugby and country rugby. The NRL and AFL use junior rugby and school rugby for their a major recruitment. 'Quade's a bit different because he wasn't playing well' - Have you seen Hooper play mate against SA in Pretoria and for the Tahs this year, he was in pretty bad form, the game's moved on from small 7's that are ineffective now, Hooper won nothing as Wallabies captain and has been overtaken by McReight, Gleeson etc.. Also you clearly haven't watched Super Rugby if you think Ben Donaldson hasn't played 15 before the Wallabies.

As a Saders man, born and breed living in my Brother’s Wonderful Australia I would just like to say that I believe Australian Rugby is just about to begin the painful process of a much needed cleaning of house and Consolidation of all Rugby Playing States not only the direction but also the total overhaul and realigning of Countrywide grassroots up rugby programmes. If individual State Pride can be put to one side and a centralised Governing Council/Body can be established with the sole aim of promoting National Rugby excellence. Australia I believe would be adding “BILL” to the Wallaby Right Sleeve more often and sooner than you think.
