Can't stop watching that movie. Austin NEEDS to win an Oscar for that performance. For all the work and emotion and Elvis' humanity he put into the role

@@miriedewaal6668 that entire thing was a joke. Elvis was completely shut out. Anyone could have played the whale character Austin BECAME Elvis heart and soul. I will never watch the Oscars again. Period. Even if Aus is nominated ever again I won’t give them the ratings. They shut Elvis out entirely

Baz is hands down one of my favorite directors because he immerses himself just like an actor should. And he's an artist at heart.

Interesting last comment by Baz: In life, characters are sometimes bigger than actors!

Austin was marvelous!! simply perfect! His acting was moving, truthful, respectul!! Simply perfect! Aside from that, Elvis was NOT Priscilla's husband anymore, she's not his widow. They were D-I-V-O-R-C-E-D. Why did she say "if my husband...?". What a nerve that greedy woman has!!

I absolutely love Baz Luhrmann, and he’s finally getting the credit. He deserves… Austin Butler was fantastic… But I got to tell you, boss, you got rooked when you didn’t win anything and you should’ve won for Moulin Rouge, which was brilliant the way you wove the music in and out of the story, all the casting the acting. I know your wife one for best costumes, but that was a brilliant movie that wasn’t appreciated by the Academy.🥰

“Personal taste is the enemy of art. “ open to limit “ your personal taste “ for the purity of the art “ Love Baz as among my favorite top directors! Among three, otto Preminger Alfred Hitchcock and Baz Luhrmann.

Not sure why she continues to refer to him as her husband. That seems to be the root cause of her legal dispute with her granddaughter as well

Austin Butler’s acting is phenomenal. A 5-month audition period seems a bit over the top for someone already so well prepared to perform his role. I can imagine that would have been really hard on Austin. Still watching this movie multiple times.

Baz is a genius and that is why he is over the top and so thorough… he had to be absolutely certain or at least 99% feeling good about this movie to even do it because it was even either gonna be great or it was going to be a flop so he didn’t take any chances

People are talking about how Austin still sounds like Elvis. He spent so much time preparing for this part..... it's a sure bet he's going to take a lot of Elvis with him. The way Elvis sounds...the movement...even hand gestures. It shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. In fact... I think it's pretty damn cool!! Love you Austin...💕

I was fortunate enough, growing up in Louisiana, to see Elvis at the Louisiana hayride. One day he picked up my neighbor across the street in his pink Cadillac, and took her on a date as I watched… Totally mesmerized. I was four years old, and that forever memory was seared in my mind forever. Elvis Presley was the most beautiful, magnanimous mesmerizing creature I had ever laid my eyes on since then until now. And that’s why Elvis is the king. Bars, you and Austin did Elvis justice. Thank you so much for your brilliant creative endeavors..‼️👍👍🥰💕

This is the best interview from Baz Lurhman! It really clarified for me especially, how he goes about producing his masterful movies. The ‘Elvis’ needed to be made and it was so brilliantly! Choosing Austin Butler was genius!

I love you Baz and loved the movie, but Elvis is not Priscilla's husband. She was with other men a lot longer than Elvis, and Elvis was with other women, mainly Linda. after his short marriage with Priscilla.
