One of the most instantly recognizable songs within the first few seconds. I think 'Beat It' represents what MJ set out to do in music - innovate, entertain to the highest level, and inspire through positive messages.
It was one of the videos that Michael made to transition to video on MTV with this Billie Jean and then Thriller. What a time 🔥 Even my Nan loved Michael. When your Nan loves someone you know that person is great.
Beat It is a fantastic song with an unforgettable groove, probably the best guitar solo ever, and a positive message. What I love most about it is that Michael wore a blue and pink t-shirt with the word 'Amour' (French for 'Love') in the video, even doing a dance move to show it off. This was a subtle move, but a nice touch.
Before internet it is amazing I heard this song in 1984 . We became fan to mike. Television also not in many houses. But music lovers knew about MJ. Before black n white song this song was very very famous in India. I am from south India. ❤MJ.
Michael was anointed. I was told by my bro n law who's a correction officer said the day MJ died it was the most quiet day EVER. dudes hardly came out of their cells. HE HAD A POWERFUL ANOINTING ON HIM
Best it still gets the party started. Its lyrics, rhythm, production, and vocal performance are as flawless today as it was back then. Great video from the detail. Long live the king of pop. 🎉
Beat It is one of my favorite MJ songs. Second only to You Rock My World. Also, this documentary series is awesome! It's so much better then Thriller 40.
those same unchanging rhythms that gave the name to the whole musical direction. Michael Jackson uses compositions with complex structures and rhythms. 🎸
With an album full of gigantic singles in his musicality. Beat It is another song that makes up the best-selling album of all time. Michael worked only with the best at the time, Eddie Van Halen was one of those right choices to create one of the most famous solos. merits also to Toto's great guitarist, Steve Lukather.
Hhaha those breakdancers are actually Poppers, not breakdancers three of them were a part of the eleftric boogaloos, they include Poppin Pete, Sugapop and Robot Dane. These guys and a few others from this style of dance were hugely influential on MJs dance and street dance in general
