This is a very well edited video but this is a personality based channel. I would imagine a lot of people find this channel more relatable than having a 6x world champion black belt talking about BJj. At least the personalities is why I subscribed, but whatever you upload I’ll watch lol.
I want to start off by saying I'm not a BJJ practitioner, but a martial artist. I love this channel for the unique content it offers. The hobbyist side of things is way more entertaining than watching a 6X champion do an instructional. I enjoyed this little bit of history about the BJJ (specifically no gi style belt system) Seeing the promotions as well was very nice keep making great content!
Haven’t finished the video yet, about 8 minutes in and so far so good as far as the perspective and information given, but one thing I will say is that around the 7 min or the 7:30 min mark, the background music got so noticeably loud that I had to focus and tune it out to hear you properly
It’s good to have proof of what you’ve earned though. It’s like saying “just go to college, as long as you have the knowledge, the physical degree doesn’t matter.” Humans want proof of progress, and belts help with that
nah man the white belts doing a tournament is your trademark I just cant see you guys doing instructional content like this. Maybe try to implement an interview-style approach that you see from sensei seth, I think it would be better for your image. Also, I get the scope of the video is to "fill" whenever you guys dont do tournaments or fight to the better end and that the idea of interviews would take a lot of time, but I think that what makes you guys so recognizable is the people. =) Just my opinion tho
@@eemotion I disagree. We don't. If you really think about it. We don't have absolutely ANY high quality bjj shows and storytelling on competitions like they do. However we got a lot of instructionals. I guess the video format is wrong in the first place: doing a 20 min video on the belt system? I don't know about that. Seems itchy just by thinking about it. Personally I stopped watching 2 minutes in and I think most people would since we all got the attention span of a potato
@@DarioBarocchiere You've watched for 2 minutes and you're criticizing like this? Maybe if you spent more time watching instead of typing you would see that this was a very well made video and useful for beginners who are trying to understand the history behind BJJ. I agree that the tournaments commentary videos are great but this wasn't a miss by any means. Keep it up Vandal.
@@AV-xc1cf I'm not debating about the fact that it's a well made video, cause I watched these guys since day 1 quite literally. I'm debating about the fact that it's not their trademark hence most people that watch them don't look forward to this type of content. No need to be rude dude: I've elaborated upon my statement and it looks like you still didn't get the point I was tryna make
