Taxman Man his new ip is a mini series only getting 2 chapters. Miura said recently that he plans to make the hiatuses smaller so he can wrap up berserk.
I know right at this rate I don’t see Berserk ending any time soon the mans what in his 50s he can’t keep this up forever at this rate I’m wondering if he even has an ending planned
Never gonna happen. When Guts met Puck he had about as much empathy as Mad Max (and he also dressed like the Road Warrior) so their conversations played out like Guts’s missing empathy telling him what to do and him ignoring it, mostly. Now Guts has enough empathy to act like a well-rounded person and Puck is useless-dramatically. Puck has been reduced to court jester. I saw the same thing happen with Star Trek. Originally Dr. McCoy would be overly passionate while everyone else was professional. JJ Abrams portrayed everyone as overly passionate and Dr. McCoy was reduced to just telling jokes. He had no dramatic role.
@@nolatgreen4131 A fan predicting the end of his "mentor's" work by illustrating a character similar to one in the previous, then showing what has happened to him over the ages. I could see Kentaro doing a reference to DS at some point, since he's probably happy about his story gaining this much traction because of it.
Jeff Boxing ok? I’m not talking about other media’s. I said “berserk” which started in 1988 and it’s 2020 now and the story itself hasn’t even scratched the surface. There isn’t a lot of things that take this long to produce just a chapter. So being a fan of BERSERK sucks cause A LOT of people aren’t going to see its end
Thanks for the replies, I honestly think Miura is hinting at this with the toll the berserker armor has on him. The story will come full circle if Guts at his potential sacrifices his ability and becomes a cripple after fulfilling his dream, like the complete opposite of Griffith. But unlike Griffith, Guts would let Casca and others take care of him, where Griffith couldn’t stomach a reality where others lookout for him. It would be beautiful circle.
It's the story of a hound and a sparrow. In order to catch and kill the sparrow the hound had to die too while leaping after it off a cliff. Doesn't matter what route you take in the end they both end up dead.
I agree. Personally I think he could become something akin to skull knight, Because of repeated use of the berserker armor. Perhaps forever becoming a guardian to his dear friends.
Game of thrones said it will be bittersweet too.Yet it got the cheesiest happy ending ever. Altough its not fair to compare. The GoT writers are the most stupidest people on this planet
one of my favorite quote is "living well is the best revenge" I think that's what I want for a ending. I would like berserk to end with the undoing of fantasia, and the total removal of the behelit in the world. undoing fantasia could lead to the fall of falconia, or at least I hope it would. crushing griffith's dream for a second time and maybe, just maybe, destroy his physical body and return him back into the void with his fellow god hand. undoing the fantasia would remove the hold the god hand have on the earth, they cannot physically manifest themselves without it. removing the behelit from the world would remove their influence on the world entirely. if this can be achieved Griffith will be humiliated for a second time, see his dream fall a second time, and all he can do is look longingly into midland from the astral world and see guts live his life with casca and he is stuck with his human feeling as an immortal due to demon child who reincarnated with him.
@Gul Dukat Happy ending doesn't mean its a chick flick. It just a resolution that is (relatively) happy for the 2 characters that have had to put up with so much shit, and that they deserve a goddamn break.
Gul Dukat You seem to be implying that men cannot appreciate beauty and goodness. That’s stupid because ofc they can. Also, I’m pretty sure men write, cast, direct, and produce most chick flicks soo. Yeah.
@@Triumvirate3 Also Miura described Berserk as being more Shojo than Shonen because of the greater focus on emotion. The creator HIMSELF said it's a chick flick basically
I'm telling you now Berserk is gonna end with a MS paint picture of Griffith and Guts with the words "Big Fight" , "Death" (maybe also "Rape Horse") and a message from Kento Miura "This is the end, buy Idol-Master"
@@maximkostenko9933 the queen dies a kinda quiet death (not what she deserve) the cripple becomes king ....for reasons..the protaginist gets thrown in jail....no revenge for his killed family....the white walkers die because the night king gets stabed by a loli
Man if Guts is offered to become a Godhand that would be nuts. That shows the whole time that Griffith was just a pawn to get to their real prize of Guts.
guts lives to kill apostles, if he suffers an injury so bad that he is unable to fight anymore, maybe the godhand would offer him to become an apostle so that he can continue killing apostles, or something like that.
@@crimsonbaron4418We need that side story, I do seriously wonder if Slan will play a big role in the end, wouldn’t surprise me if she helps Guts in some way
So basically Kentaro is siding towards "stoicism", the school of thought from ancient Greece in which the practitioners believed that every event that occurs in our lives is not in our control (fate) and the thing that we have control of is the interpretation that forms in our minds. That's what I think.
God: Reasons for pain. Reasons for sadness. Reasons for life. Reasons for death. Reasons why their lives were filled with suffering. Reasons why their deaths were absurd. Healthyleaf420 wanted reasons for the destiny that kept transcending their knowledge. And I produce those, as it is what I have been brought into existence for. Also, request denied.
i feel that One of guts crew uses the behealt of which results in a second eclipse but this a time Guts fully unleashes the beast of darkness and becomes it fully "killing" the man known as guts and is now the literal manifestation of wrath and vengeance and pretty much fulfilled the Fenrir similarity and kills the godhand.
I like that idea but instead of annihilating the god hand, he figths and struggles against them and maybe destroys a couple, but he's inevitably overcome by the remaining members as he falls back to the flow of casuality. He was fighting against it and it would make a nice story to see the struggle wiped away as its only tempory
Trivia fact: Most historians believe that the dark ages was the longest period (a few hundred years) where humanity went with out technological advancement. Also a good portion of events and history during that time period either wasn't recorded or what was recorded was destroyed through various events during the time such as the black plague. I predict this will play a part in the end of the story. Guts and Griffith have always had a seesaw effect when its come to there battles against each other. Originally Griffith was pretty much untouchable to Guts due to his "natural gifts or talent" but later through constant combat and battle Guts was able to surpass and defeat Griffith, after being chosen by the God hand Griffith once again rose to a place out of Guts reach however as the story has continued Guts has once again begun to slowly grow in strength and abilities just like before. My prediction is that Guts through his own stubbornness and effort will once again defeat Griffith. This will break Griffith who views himself as the ultimate being after sacrificing his humanity and he most likely will make another wish on his Behelt, this wish will mostly likely see him sacrifice his kingdom for power, which would include all those who believe, worship or serve him meaning the Apostle will also become his sacrifices this time since they're united under his banner.
most historians today actually don't even refer to the dark ages as the dark ages anymore, scholars in the 20th century have been able to discover things about life and culture and the history of that time period to such a degree that they don't think the term applies. not to mention the dark ages is a purely european concept, the middle east during the years of the dark ages was bustling with scientific and artistic innovation and culture. im not trying to be a dick about it, just trying to mention it. i think your theory on berserk is pretty interesting lol
"Most Historians" what? Most historians don't even use the term Dark Ages anymore and there very much was technological advancement. Even if you accepted the idea of that time period being a time of no technological advancement for Europe Asia and the Middle East continued to make great advancements, in fact the "Dark Ages" were concurrent with the Islamic Golden Age. This is very Eurocentric and flat out incorrect.
How I think Berserk will end: 1. Gut's kills Griffith, and through some plot related means overcomes fate itself. or 2. Guts and Griffith kill each other and Casca, in her grief, uses the Behelit to wish the the God Hands' demise. Essentially making the God Hand kill itself (if that is even possible) and then becomes an apostle.
Very keen insight Boofire, video so good it, made me sub! I've been trying to piece together how Berserk will end myself, and also saw a glaring detail with that Insect Apostle as well... I'm thinking maybe he even affected the behelit somehow as well... maybe if the sacrifice is refused, something else happens to it? There has to be a clue hidden into its design, as in its out of place face, also how it screams or cries in horror the times we have seen it activated, as if it's awakening into a nightmare, meanwhile it looks relatively content while "asleep", or dormant. I do also believe love will play a part, just as how even Griffith moved to protect Casca during Guts and Zodd's fight, surprising even Griffith himself. All of the Godhand is ignorant to human things such as this, thinking themselves above humanity despite it. Love this series.
@@brandonmuse5532 imagine that one, guts stays with Griffith, then Griffith wouldn't have slept with Charlotte, the hawks would become nobles, and thus Griffith wouldnt have been tortured to such a frail state that he might not have used the behelit
@@luniasta I have some theories around the eggs sacrifice. what is clear is that the moonlight boy and griffith are the same being, we see this as griffith transforms into him and then out of him at the end of the full moon. Now how they came to be the same being is kind of a theory as it is never flat out said, but when the Egg of the Perfect world ate the fetus of casca, he the sacrificed himself and griffith took his physical form during this sacrifice. It seems that I guess the Eggs transformed into griffith, or at least griffith used his sacrificed body as the vessel of his physical body? And the fetus was also apart of this and thus moonlight boy and griffith share the same physical body.
@@vinnylepre98 I think the moonlight boy is Griffith's astral projection and that is why he can only be seen while there is a full moon, remember that at a full moon the magical entities are at their highest so they can manifest easier into the physical world!
@@RealDeathMetalLover I think they share the same body, but the moonlight boy being an astral being somehow makes its so that he can take control on the full moon due to magic being stronger.
Anti-Hero Meng John Lee griffith is literally impossible for guts to reach unless he has a major major power boost and griffith has a army of apostles to back him up too
@@usernamesystem3586 Guts can just bait Griffith and send a messenger with a fake love note,' I love you Griffith". We all know Griffith wants Guts. BAM! Done and done!
WOOOOOOOAAAAAAAHHHHH! That's what I'm saying. Remember that Griffith had the greater dream, he outclassed Griffith in that and only after becoming a god hand did he achive it. Guts hasn't died. He won't quit. And he still has the greatest power. Will. Undying and true earned power.
I can see this being a perfect little cherry on top for Farnese's character arc. Serpico dies, she activates the behelit, is asked to sacrifice, and essentially tells them to shove it.
The path of thought starting around 3:45 someplace definitely sounds like my own theories. I have believed for a while “causality” is just an ethereal buzzword the Godhand ego strokes to. The Godhand are the ones manipulating events and they can because they are that powerful, but there really isn’t any actual predestined fate coming from beyond them. I think that’s why Griffith, for all he believed about freedom to be regardless of origin, can still live with himself despite this “causality”. He’s now at the reigns of that same causality. It’s the only way for his dream not to have been pointless.
Finally noticed the "scarring" marks on Guts' Behelit around the 6:00 mark. How many other Behelits have had its surface mirror its bearers flesh? Does that mean Guts is growing power over his becchi or that the egg is converting to Guts' form to strengthen its power over him?
Miura tends to draw demons with phallic characteristics. The threat of violence and rape is a common occurrence in the series. They are demons after all.
Watching Berserk was one of the most traumatic yet beautiful experience WHICH however left me uncomfortable with the end. Any sort of ending that I could think of just wouldn't do the justice BUT YOU SIR put peace in my mind regarding this story with your explanation of how you think it'll end. Amazing.
It would be interesting if guts and casca actually didnt go to fight griffith but stayed in isolation trying to mend their wounds... Imagine this... Guts and Co. go through a timeskip of years, polishing their skills and helping people, while also avoiding the major battles griffith and his army are taking. Meanwhile, they raise the moon child until it manifests itself most of the time without banishing. Meanwhile, Griffith and its army grow incredibly more powerful, but at the same time, Griffith begins to crumble on the inside. As the child is raised, Griffth begins to experience guilt and emptyness. Incapable of understanding what he is going through, he begins to seem more human, in contrast to his always composed behaviour. This makes the demons question their loyalty to Griffith and a civil war breaks. In order to regain control over Griffith, the God Hand kidnaps the moon child, and Guts and co.. decide to rescue him. This would be an interesting apprach to a new endgame, where Griffith becomes vulnerable and watches as his kingdom destroys itself, Guts and Co. get enough time to mend their wounds and become stronger as well as get more allies, and the God Hand realize that their plans arent perfect making them doubt the power of causality.. What do you guys think??
Love the ds1 firelink ost its so calm and beautiful, quite a rare gem in the world of dark souls, a break from all the intensity and despair of a dying world clinging onto ashen remains and on the verge of an inevitable end.
@@BOOFIRE191 Whilst I like the series, I do find Dark Souls overrated, I mostly enjoy it for the lore, the world building and designs. Bloodborne is my favourite cause it tickles my love for Lovecraftian horror.
ok... I was listening to the majula theme before this video, and you using it in the background fucked my brain up good. I had to make sure it was still paused
Don't apostles give up all that made them human when they make the sacrifice? The Slug Baron refused to kill his daughter when he was literally before the gates of Hell/Soultoilet. Am I dumb for thinking he was still human during his time as an apostle?
I think the apostle sacrifice goes as such. You throw away your humanity, not who you are but what you are. When you become an apostle, every weakness you had as a human is gone. From this new form, you slowly start to lose what it means to be human. Since you are no longer mortal or weak so to speak. But you still hold on to what you valued as a human.
I just realized this is just like what happened in the beginning Guts gets closer to a group of people and then we all know what happens after an unexpected death of all of them but that probably won’t happen again....probably.
"It's all a dream". Honestly there are so many things Kentaro Miura didn't explain and that's the saddest and only ending for Berserk. He will die before ending Berserk.
