Everything is rooted in childhood. Crazy how our operating system is basically set up from 1-5 years old and then we spend the rest of our lives operating out of those years.
@ArrKayLondon
@ArrKayLondon 4 месяца назад
I think of it like bloatware. You didn't install it, someone else did and it runs every time you run your computer and makes it slow and unusable. One day when you know how your OS works you can uninstall it. Edit:I had written the analogy recently for the cptsd.wiki project I'm heading. The cptsd recovery community is getting together to create free resources for our community. Think of yourself living with CPTSD like a computer operating system (OS) with bloatware and viruses. They cause your computer to run slowly and inefficiently, they were written by someone else before you had the opportunity to decide you didn’t want or need them. They can often feel like the computer is fundamentally flawed because everything takes longer than it should and you wish you could just wipe the computer or throw it away and start again but you can’t. You can also not run more than one thing at a time before your computer freezes up and so in the end you just don’t use the computer unless you are forced to because the bloatware and viruses have destroyed it’s potential. Until you learn how the computer works you won't be able to remove the bloatware. If you're lucky someone else will know and help you remove it.

@@judysaler7466 thank you. I'm heading the cptsd.wiki project atm so have been thinking about it a lot. The cptsd recovery community are getting together to write recovery resources for each other. I often think of analogies to explain concepts to people because I've been in recovery a long time.

for me when i turned 30, it was realizing that i am going to die, people i know are going to die, and no matter what i do, no matter how much i ruminate or come up with theories in my head about good and bad, heaven and hell, i cannot come up with something more terrifying and beautiful than the fact that all of us die. that was a liberating feeling. the limitations of the human mind to conceive of a "hell" worse than our own death, or a "heaven" that comforts you on the idea of your own death. It just is what happens to all of us, and there's no reason to live life in fear of it because some of the greatest and worst people I know have died, and they turned out just fine.
@outlander234
@outlander234 4 месяца назад
I agree completely. I am 36 and that thought became prevalent with me in past few years due to various troubles in my life... Suddenly all I could see was second half of my life and eventual death. But much worse than death and health deteriorating is the whole process. In your thirties you start to realize that things change and move on. You experience death of friendships, jobs, of hobbies, relationships, behaviors, cultural phenomenas... Things simply change and you have to adapt and look back at how things used to be but they arent anymore and that isnt a nice feeling... You start to feel left behind by society and you are less and less able or even willing to keep up with the changes. regrets start to pile up... The flipside is I really dont have anymore energy for useless things because time is so precious.
@bb.buchanan
@bb.buchanan 4 месяца назад
Through experiences I've had with DMT, I came to realise that what we think of as "death" is just a transitionary state, wherein our energy leaves our corporeal form in the physical plane and returns to the Source i.e the universe, God or whatever you want to call it. Once there, existence i.e an experience of being/awareness continues in a pure form (without mortal hinderances like ego, emotions, etc) of total inter-connectedness - with everything in pure harmonious bliss as part of the singular consciousness that is the Universe. I liken it to how a drop of water returning to the ocean ceases to be a drop anymore and simply becomes the ocean itself.... By becoming "nothing", you become everything, as energy can't be destroyed - only transferred from one state to another and all we truly are is energy that is aware of itself. Really ain't so bad and certainly nothing to fear with the irony being, we've already been there before. Death is just returning "home" - It is the ultimate liberation.

To this day I believe mixing shrooms and weed is the next most powerful spiritual trip you can experience to discover yourself, compared to the Ayahuasca journey.
