You're definitely right when you mentioned how Roblox taking action against black markets will likely hurt them more than anything. You have to remember that Roblox is a massive site filled with millions of active players, and unless the payment is robux (which is typically through the purchase of a gamepass or shirt) and as long as the whole interaction stays strictly on the Roblox platform or other affiliate sites, there is essentially no way for them to detect any signs of suspicious activity. Plus, when it comes up to black markets within Roblox games, not only is the transaction typically done with real money but the process of receiving the items is most often done through a trading mechanism inside of the game. The only possible way for such activity to be detected is through the game staff themselves taking action or through custom systems set in place by the game's devs to combat the issue. Roblox cannot possibly know the mechanics of every individual game and therefore most black markets in that category go unnoticed. Even if Roblox were to make a system for the things that they can reasonably monitor, like limited black market trading, moderation would be very hard since there are likely thousands of trade requests coming in every day. This is also not counting for the possibility of false bans, which I am sure everyone is familiar with already. Hopefully this issue can be fixed in the long run but at the moment it seems like black markets are here to stay.

RWT is technically banned on a lot of these platforms like Roblox or Steam but people really really love it. These companies usually take the hit and allow these third parties to exist like in the CSGOExo hack in the CS market. I use a lot of CS "black markets" and I have even worked with Ex Corp a bit (the creators of CSMoney, Scope, XPlay) so I am bias, because I also love it. I am on the side that these kinds of alternative markets are really really agood for getting people into the main market or in-game microtransactions. People in CS2 like Anomaly/ohnepixel/Zipel/Arrow making their careers off of making skins content would be toast if these alternative markets went away. As a seller and buyer in the black market it really is handy with what the state that it is right now since I recently bought every item in bloxfruits from perms to gp and like 10 storages, and from what the wiki says that it cost usually around 700+ dollars just on perms alone but i only spent like 300 - 400+ dollars from everything I bought which is like 1:3 the price which is so much better. You also can find black market sellers around the asian part of the countries where they sell robux for 1:3 money to robux ratio so like i bought 400 pesos for 1000 robux covered tax, thats a bonus 200 robux unlike buying straight from roblox granted you have to wait 3 - 5 days but it's worth the price to get as much out of your money.

1:40 I’ve talked to some people who do black marketing on rogue lineage/deepwoken, and it’s actually a competitive market. Prices just remain similar because it’s just generally agreed by the community that x item is worth x dollars.
$2 for 1k robux on dev ex is far from a fair price considering roblox will then go and sell that 1k robux for $10 - $12 to another player when they buy robux. For black marketing to go away they need to pay their developers and designers better.

Because roblox does not pay a lot of developers enough that's why. There is a huge difference in price as to what roblox pays their players for their robux compared to what they then go and sell it to another player for.

Nah. The buyer gets banned when they buy a poisoned item (duped, exploited, or stolen). It’s their own responsibility to buy from a trustworthy seller. BMs are also a really good income for children and even adults to make money in 3rd world countries.
I used to be apart of the black market underground and i was involved with a lot of these servers. From scammers to genuine people tryna make a buck and not cheating to do so. It's a wild place and you see some evil shit there.
my friend and I ran a black market last year and he ended up making enough to buy a new setup. He was a genuine guy he just wanted to make some money on the side nothing wrong with that.

The roblox black market only affects developers and Roblox themselves. Whereas, the Roblox LIMITEDS black markets DIRECTLY affect Roblox. But the black market is really handy because a lot of game devs such as Preston (Pet Simulator 99/X dev) have really scummy prices for pixel pets. But the black market also kind of benefits game devs in a way as well, with PS99 for example, there is always going to be someone selling something, a huge pet will cost loads of time to hatch, or even money depending on what huge pet. Titanic pets are ONLY obtainable through in game purchases and purchases of their plushies and toys on their website. The black market for a lot of these items make them a lot more desireable to players as they provide REAL WORLD benefits. Hatching a huge in Pet Simulator would go from before the black market, "That's a cool pet. I wonder how many gems it's worth" to "YOOO I JUST GOT A HUGE PET, I COULD SELL THIS FOR HEAPS OF MONEY". This in turn makes players want to seek out the pet more which benefits the developer. It's not like it costs the Dev any money when someone sells the item on the black market, they don't lose any money either. So why should anyone care. In my opinion, the black market is a way for players to make a lot of money OR spend way less money when they buy the item they've been seeking for rather than spending tens and sometimes HUNDREDS of $$ on MAYBE getting the item they want. Il'l have to take a comparison that is somewhat simmilar, about games a piracy. Piracy is against the Law, and although most people are supporters of it, many are also against it. I think its a similar interaction, with the change that most people are against it. If there was a way to not be scammed in those types of transactions, i think it would be a cool protest to roblox. To people from Europe, Asia and the US its not that bad, but here in SA Robux price is just getting too big, and there are not even servers in our region. Even a guy with the most boosted internet will play at 200+ Ms.
Its not children safety what. black marketing is not bad i would say its like an eco system to the games for values and such it cant harm a child playing the game.
Black markets just will keep popping up and usually cant really be stopped because its usually created on other apps rather than roblox groups making them almost unreachable
Okay Tony's market is a blip in the existence of black markets, 90% of black markets would not scam you because its better to keep you a happy customer so you can come back for more. Black markets are just not that big of a deal, the only reason they "aren't allowed" is because they affect the economy of few trade based games but generally, worrying about this problem is a non starter for Roblox.

great video however i don’t really agree 1. you can’t just get rid of back market, especially those in game. roblox can’t and won’t implement software to catch them into another devs trading system. plus people will always find a way if there’s money to be made 2. roblox is not responsible at all for players getting scammed. they chose to buy from bm, they didnt or couldn’t see it was a scam and so they got scammed. actions have consequences. 3. though you didnt mention it, roblox is already doing quite a good job at catching players who sell third party robux. i’ve seen a lot of players who have 10k-200k pending get banned because they sold robux. though you have to keep in mind its very hard to catch them because how do you distinguish a giveaway group from a third party seller?
I engage in the limited black market cause current robux prices are feces and the inflated value of robux makes it near impossible to afford most limited items. Plus you get way more robux out of good limited deals.
It truly is a moral dilemma one one hand it could make players who are less Grindy have a bit of fun in the game like what it feels to be a maxed player or at a level where you can play with your friends on the other hand it is still considered an illegal practice.
I know for a fact roblox is 100% taking action against people selling robux on black market sites. I’ve been deleted like 10 times for it because I wanted better payout rates. They also ban the group that paid you out aswell. Like literally 3 weeks ago I lost like 500 dollars because of that.

Let me make this clear this isn't just in Roblox this is in every paid to play game. People often sell accounts in steam or in epic games that have rare games too this isn't just only Roblox.
Black-marketing in Roblox has gone too deep it would be better not to remove it because it may or most likely will cause damage (in some way can be small or large). Black-marketing is like rot but it has already rotted the roots now removing it will only cause damage unfortunately. Even though it promotes exploiting if Roblox could stop all exploits it would eliminate the bad side effect completely since if you Buy from them it is your fault for getting scammed since you didn’t listen to roblox terms of services.(If you get scammed for Black-marketing Roblox shouldn’t help you because you broke the Terms of Service which are meant to protect the players and platform)
I want to add more, In the side of Philippines specifically around the Facebook Marketplace For these type of blackmarket stuff. These guys are known for selling accounts/IGT (In game items) for their currency called Pesos The hacking situation in the game called blox fruits specially , They have a system called "Piloting Accounts" which involves exploits. Which involves a lot of scammers, People would complain. God i want this situation end imo

Honestly i support the black market. I think that its a good way to make money and that it makes roblox unique, however theres something called beaming where people steal others items to sell which is a very negative affect on roblox.
There is really no point for Roblox to actually investigate this and try to solve the issue. (Roblox takes 30% on any purchase so if anything this helps balance the economy (more in Roblox's favor) since there will always be these micro transactions on which they will always cut 30% of Robux which creates a never ending demand, if this Tax didn't exist then Roblox would most likely try it's best to solve this so called "Problem" but currently I believe it works in their favor :D Same goes with buying from/selling to Third party websites (Talking about Robux here.) Roblox can actively control these transactions since there is no way for the player to get the Robux without the 30% cut, everyone knows that there is no way to gain actual Robux outside of Roblox (any Robux you gain was once purchased on their website and it slowly decreases in value as more and more transactions happen) If you buy 1k Robux from Roblox and decide to give your friend all of it your friend would only get 700. If he decides to sell that 700 to a 3rd party website they would only receive 490 Robux, and then if that's 3rd Party website sells that 490 to another individual they would only receive 343. So just in 3 transactions it dropped from 1,000 -> 343. Of course Roblox has no problem with this because this benefits Roblox and keeps it's Economy alive.
Tbh there is not really much methods to detect these websites/ban their users. Roblox gambling is another huge problem on the platform, its just that there is not a direct way to ban it all.
