Well... maybe the stories are more true than reality in the way numbers are true... I mean.. Number 1 is abstract. It doesnt exist outside the symbols and things you label with it, yet mathemathics is insanely powerful force in the way it can influence the real world... Quote by "You-know-who" :D
I like the video, especially the first part about BTTF! But honestly... Isn't the family you talk about humanity as a whole, respectively should be? Disregarding of origin / skin colour?
my beef is, when anyone latches on to BP as a way to affirm the concept of pulling oneself up by his bootstraps when everything was stackt against him in the first place. to extrapolate, an entire culture will be seen as less than, if they have thought or acted in a way that attempts to at least shift focus onto the truth behind why blacks have been in that situation in the first place. king was our hero, X was our hero, and even kennedy was a hero for blacks. but they were taken away, as your video implies in both situation the family had a hero. what are/were we to do when every time one rises up to lead us out of poverty unfair treatment racism etc, that they are shot down, not to mention the laws put in place AFTER the end of slavery to ensure that blacks did not have a fair shake at land and wealth in the way whites were. you have a polly-anna, just-world, approach to looking at things on the surface. in a way i slightly feel sorry for you because you are quite close to knowing things, but your desire to shift all the responsibility on blacks in the face of permanent adversity is unfair. despite black panther we are NOT super heros. though we have survived like them. but i LOVE the fact that you are an FM-84 fan so it's all good i have ATLAS on vinyl.
