I think this is a great video. I am visually impaired myself and it's always frustrating not to know what's going on on the picture and trying to figure out by the caption. Sometimes people post pictures that have nothing to do with their caption and it's harder to imagine the picture thank you

I discovered that Twitter trick yesterday. It surprised me because I sometimes write little descriptions in my photos to one of my friends. That's a useful accesibility trick. Nice video, bye bye.

Yup yup. I've started adding image descriptions to my Instagram photos, which is fun. I'm always paranoid that I'm doing it wrong, so I'll definitely be checking out those links. Great video!

Oh good heavens I am terrible at describing things LOL. It took me a while to figure out how to insert a paragraph break in IG. That app always gives me grief! I'm off and rolling now though, hoping to do my part to keep the Internet accessible. Thanks again for the nudge James! 💕

I already am sorry for asking this, but I will wonder all my life if I don't: why would a blind person (or even legally blind) go on a social media that is based on image (like Instagram or Snapchat)? I fully understand the interest of Facebook, or RU-vid, or websites in general because they contain text and audio, but really, if I was blind, I don't think I would bother going on Instagram because I wouldn't gain as much! So please, tell me so that I can sleep again, ah ha.

Thank you for this answer! I was chatting earlier with a friend and we stumbled on the matter of accessibility. To make it short, he wouldn't understand why blind people would want to see a play when they wouldn't be able to experiment all aspects of it... after a while, it hit me: it doesn't matter what we think is useful of not for disabled people. They have to decide whether it's good or not for them... and to make the decision whether something fits of not, it has to be accessible. It's not "if it fits your needs, we'll make it accessible." It took a while, but I understood! On to the next learning experience, ah ha. :)
