I understand the frustration of not being able to complete all of the content but it’s not blizzards job to help you juggle 3-4 versions of their game. If you don’t have the time to do it you simple don’t have the time. Prioritize and enjoy what you can complete
Thats not an excuse. The game has alot of droughts all the time... some people like world of warcraft in general and want to play it all the time but how can they if there are content droughts only because blizz doesnt stagger their releases, its literally in their best interest to stagger the releases so people never unsub. Also its an MMO that requires more commitment than other games because fomo is actually real since its a community based game, if youre not involved at launch you will miss the most fun part of an MMO and will also fall behind in some versions. Its inexcusable to release two different versions with 4 days apart... in an mmo that takes a week or two before youre bored outside of raids, like what happened with their patches all the time prior to classic. And classic is a much slower version. Now that we think about it, it actually is blizzard's job to make us juggle between the game versions and theyve done a piss poor job at it. Most casuals only have time to play one version fully at a time and another secondarily... so them releasing like 4 different variants to be played at the sametime dilutes the community massively thus making all versions of the game worse as a result. Its not about completion, its about entertainment. Never force people to prioritize, give them an incentive instead.
I would hate to be a wow dev people screaming content drought after speed running all the content faster then you can make it while also be mad when you slow them down for year after year only to eventually get to the point where now people are screaming about too much content
They hardly slowed it down tho... and the only reason why people are "speed running" the content is because theres so little content and its too easy. SoD has an exp buff and in p3 you could get to max level in 6 hours, that doesnt look like "slowing it down" to me. Again, the devs have been digging this content drough-hole for years... they keep releasing content thats done in less than 1 week by casuals and then its annoying chores with raidlogging again and they are supposed to be surprised people are asking more content so soon? Theres a reason why classic at launch lasted for several months before the tourists started logging off, the content was alot slower despite being so old we knew everything about it. They are cannibalizing their own game versions because of the content being too slow to develop and too fast to complete for the majority of the playerbase. Raidlogging is not inherently fun, especially during a content drought. Retail raids for example are way too complicated design for their own good... it probably takes many months to make them (and resources, probably more than the overworld because of the different difficulties). If they made the raids alot simpler (simple doesnt mean easy, look at elden ring) they could make more of them faster. Molten Core was originally done in 1 week, imagine if they did one such new raid a week and released them in a bunch every few months (or any other content, doesnt have to be raids)... it would be ALOT of content thats not too hard and not too easy. In classic it was cleared in a day but thats because of the 15 years of knowledge, imagine if it was brand new design and nobody knew anything about it. The hardcore nolifers would clear it in 1 week if not a day for sure but not those who cant play without guides, and boy is there alot of those kinds of casuals. :D Current raid design drains too much resources from the development for so little gain and such little participation. Its just sad and its their longest format content and its cleared in less than a month if youre not doing the hardest difficulty which most arent. We dont have to go to 1 week development but it certainly shouldnt be this bad of a ratio. SoD content feels so minuscule in what it actually delivers and even the old content is altered to be faster so i dont blame you for thinking everyone speedruns it.
I hope they release a lvl 19, 29, 39, 49 etc pvp server for different expacs. I also hope they just move PvP into its own server ecosystem and give it all the changes and custom content it needs to thrive.
they didn't need to do vanilla like 3 times in a row hardcore never sold me sod never gained my interest i don't know what seasonal is but im fine with rotating classics and retail
Wel, they do know exactly how many unique accounts are playing each version, and they know exactly what each account is playing. It really doesn't matter in the end for them if you're subscribing for Classic or Retail or MoP or SoD, what matters is that you are bouncing in that ecosystem and staying subbed.
What are you guys talking about Tourghast all the time? i was Resto shamy, my rain kill everything and my spirit link totem also :D it was always around 10m runs at highest diff. I did have fun.
i've been saying it from years get a separate team like osrs did and have a vote where the majority wants to start at and release NEW and different content from then i personally think they could start at like wod (the worst but the most potential to be the best) expansion and do it right and create a new story for afterwards
More than one version of WOW makes life go too quickly for me. Between work, working out, WOW, and life in general there's no time to slow down and reflect. I found keeping it to one version at a time slow it down enough for me. I feel like i'm not alone in this as being in that group that reaches irl lvl 30 this year. just some thoughts as i make my way to the trainer for travel form
IMO after Cata and SoD they should close those servers and make a Classic + server. At that point you'll have Retail, Classic+, era, and hardcore - 2 of which don't require any work or development time.
My issue with the game is the class balance patches that change from week to week. It gets exhausting trying to keep up with what is op and what is trash. And before someone tries to point out that it doesn't matter what class is op, try tanking a pugged high key with anything other than a DH. Good luck getting invited.
I don't play cata, but if I did I'd probably have way too much to do. I've called it for DF S4 and have almost 1.4mil bronze in MoP remix and now I'm leveling a character for p4 of SoD. Perfect mix for me but if I added even one more(cata) it'd be way too much. Can't do it all
People sleep on Maplestory it came out in 2003 before WoW, and it basically created Gacha and P2W, but no one knows it, and it still hasn't died. I always liked Maplestory more than any MMO, until the Big Bang and it became insanely P2W. I also liked Guild Wars 1 more than WoW, that's probably the best Western MMO ever created. WoW just appealed to the masses, and had tons of marketing.
I really don’t see the “problem” as you mentioned. People go to a mall or Walmart etc as you can get (do) everything. Wow having multiple fronts to cater to multiple players/play styles is a GOOD thing. It seems like the popular play is to kick the game for likes because god forbid blizz actually listens and does things right..we can’t have that
If a Wow expansion is good I stick around for 3/4 months like I did with Dragonflight. Last time I stayed longer than that was Legion. BFA I dipped out very early I was extremely annoyed with the Azerite garbage system, and Shadowlands is the first expansion I didn't even try ever. I just don't have the patience to put up with grind fest unfun chores anymore, especially on a game I'm paying a subscription for. Oh, Dragonflight Solo shuffle queues takes one hour and group finder PVP is still unusable? See you next expansion. Back in the day I would have stayed playing through the bad times and things that annoyed me until it felt like a chore and got burnt out, which lead to me liking WOW as a game less over time. Don't do that anymore I just dip.
@Xaryu Except WOD that wasn't fun for the first 2 week because you couldn't play it until the 3rd week because the servers were so dogshit so many of my friends and Guildies left because they couldn't even log on. No such thing as too many WOW's you just play the ones or 1 that you want to I wouldn't play SOD it looks shit Rogue Tanks which idiot had that idea. Vanilla Classic id play for sure I started back in 2004 but id also play Retail again if it goes on Game Pass as I have a lot of friends who play through XBOX and they would love to give WOW a go and it may force Blizz to get rid of addons as they wouldn't be allowed on console.
Wow have 2 type of players: people who wants 0.1% chance of drops on items, and people who wants full gear in one raid. If you try to satisfy one group you fuk the other group plain and simple
@@PeterTheDeleter I'm meaning as to why its never been beaten. When a new mmo comes out its nit as good because we compare to wow. And classic was good because nostalgia and reminds us of easier time. Not just me. This is very widely understood. Maybe basic minds won't get it.
I think the choice between retail classic etc is a great thing not a bad thing.. cuz people are picky.. and fun choices is what is great about it... anything hc grindy is bleh.. and only works for someone like asmongold.. a minority in this game...
the downside of this yes it too much content we may not be able to do everything but it okay i guess. now the player base is big but some server are dead see classic or even some sod. it scater the player quite a bit
Imagine being a dev at blizzard for warcraft, the community is never happy, first to litle content, then to much! I think people need to take accountability if they feel burnout bcs they need to chase a cosmetic in remix, get a grip
I think it would be great if I could take my characters into any version of the game, and I would just scale appropriately to level. Then they could allow the currency transfer to work across characters and versions.
You ppl and classic plus in super cringe at this point. Wtf is sod than if y’all hate on sod ur gonna hate classic Plus. All you ppl who are asking for classic plus will cry about everything in classic plus let’s be real.
After Earth wasn't even that bad, bandwagon haters will always hate. I watched that movie blind, no reviews effected or distorted my opinion. I do that with the majority of the content I consume. Like that comment 5:27 "one of the worse movies ive ever seen" I bet that troll never even watched the movie.
They clearly don't space SoD around the other content at all. That's why we got 4 releases in like 2 months time. They are delaying SoD to ensure quality and allowing more casual players time to play through the content.
Lmfaoo they solved how to make themselves money and make their games suck xD. The imbalance of economy of gold bevause they dont ban gold buyers is HILARIOUS. Ive had 2 try to play n quit because the level 25 stuff is 50 gold a stack lmfaoooooooo. Ohh if youre a streamer though buy all the fucking gold you want. Theres 5 retail streamers that didnt play tbc or wrath for 1 minute but come on cata and magically have 300-500k gold ? Very great company 10/10
eso would be good if it wasnt pay to win, the subscription for quality of life is dumb just make content that requires a subscription... Makes me mad because both eso and new world are only mmos like eachother combat wise and they both dead and suck
why do wow players act like level sync isnt the worst thing to ever happen to all mmos. FFXIV is top tier because it only level syncs in group content. Retail WOW Is bad specifically because of level sync. Wow classic was dope because it didnt have level sync? it was a real challenge the whole time. Lol classic servers are dead now and they are very literally releasing the same games over again lmao Wow is not the best its not good anymore at its core. It needs all these versions. FFXIV literally closed its servers and rebirthed itself. Blizzard is scared and very much beating a dead horse. Blizzard literally has to pay these guys to be Shills on the internet
If they want a real shot at making Classic+ work, they need to make sure that one team can focus all their energy on it. Having Aggrend and team manage both Cata Classic and SoD has just set them up for failure. The teams that handle Plunderstorm and MoP remix need to take over Classic Expansions. Neither game mode is getting the attention it deserves. And Classic+ is going to be an order of magnitude more challenging.
@@thegreattaiyou I agree. I think they should stop working on OG classic in general. It's old and re-done content that is predictable. I think it was fun for the moment, but we need new content. In a classic format with classic + could be a great way to please both parties.
"wow has not be dethroned in 20 years" These are claims from WoW players =p, Go Google "game review gw2" Then google "game review world of warcraft" THEN google "game review FFXIV" I could go on and on and on but my point is WoW reviews from other gamers who did not get stuck playing wow for 20 years isnt that good and that is the reality. Even oldschool runescape is BETTER than WoW, Just because lots of people used to play the game does not mean its the best, this is a claim only WoW players make.
