Just as much as Slam Dunk made people play more basketball in the 80’s, Haikyuu made people play more voleyball around 2014 and Yuru Camp made people camp more in 2018.
I had always disliked basketball, but after watching Kuroko Basketball, I got myself a basketball hoop and played for about an hour a day for a few months. I still do every now and then. I would've NEVER gotten into basketball if it wasn't because of an anime lmao as dumb as it sounds
@@yannipiu brooo the same! It's pretty hard for me tho, since in my country Malaysia, basketball is not popular we barely have a court here, it's all about soccer and badminton here in Malaysia. But I managed to convince my friend to watch KNB n now we got like 15+ ppl to play basketball each weekend night on a paid court. Anime is the key.
@@yannipiu Bro same. Played basketball for 8 years because of Knb. Hated football all my life because I was truly terrible at it and got bullied a lot for it. After reading blue lock I just wanna play football now. I believe if I don't let my terribleness go to my head and practice consistently I'll be satisfied with my progress someday haha
Kuroko no Basket is literally superhuman shit, Niggas out here jumping with a 80 inch vertical, Blue lock aint realistic by any means but it exagerrates it enough to be fun, just like Hajime no Ippo
Nah kuroko no basket is reallllllyyy good too but not as good as blue lock. Since I play both football and basketball, blue lock got me training to fix puzzles in middle of a match and kuroko no basket thought me to work on my invisibility
I definitely think it did, it got just as popular. Kuroko and Haikyu get brought up whenever someone mentions sports anime. Kuroko better to me though. I'm not overly attached to any specific character in Blue Lock. Probably because they get locked off every other episode.
I am starting to play soccer to bc of blue lock 💀 edit: ok guys thank you for giving me this much likes btw never had this much tbh i see blue lock inspired some other people in the world too 😁
Wholesome. Already played soccer in the streets with my friends before, but blue lock made me think about which 'skill' I should focus on. Dribbling is so fucking fun and so is feint.
I think thats cool seeing people giving a chance to football after watching an anime. As happened with Haikyuu, Blue Lock is bringing more youngsters, specially americans, to football.
i havent touched a football/soccer ball since elementary and all of a sudden i have the urge to play and i now realize im just like kunigami but right footed
i already liked football before i watched blue lock, especially in my late years of elementary school and early years of middle school but I'm obsessed with football now all over again lol
Remember, Fernando Torres, Del Pierro, Iniesta and Villa probably started playing football because of Captain Tsubasa, so who knows, Blue Lock might inspire a new generation
The moment I knew it was over for me was when I was playing ball I was about to shoot the in my head I heard am a STRIKER then I scored and brought out my tounge
yea i started playing football cuz of blue lock, but im getting decent at it, i gotta train harder tho. since im 17, im working on endurance atm. well not only cuz of blue lock, my old friend plays soccer and i want to be his friend again. i still consider him my friend but idk if he does the same. i hope he does, but i havent talked to him in like 5 years
@@meshalturki1419 i wouldnt say its too late to join a team, if i work like some anime protagonist for 2 years ill catch up to normal soccer players maybe. im also not tryna go pro obviously its prob too late for that, im just tryna join a team that i can have fun with. i just want to get into soccer for fun cuz i got nothing better to do. but what do u think i should work on? im focusing on endurance and shooting, my accuracy is improving alot. not as good as my friends whos been playing since i stopped, i stopped at 12 years old, its been 5 years since, i played for 1 1/2 years before. sry if its too long, prob not gonna read it
@@TheMuffinMan46 im not sure if your jokin abou tthe anime protagonist thingy but you can improve alot of stuff like vision and passing or scanning the field cause scanning the field is one of the most imiportant shit to learn and it really depends on what type of position you play on but yeah you gotta play with people to imporve more but anime doesnt really give you any benefits tbh
@@meshalturki1419 yea I was kinda joking but same time I wasn't, cuz they train hella hard. I was just using them as a metaphor kinda, if I were to play American football this would be easy to learn. but soccer/football is probably the most difficult to learn but its the most fun to me. american footballs too easy ngl.
I'll admit it, I am getting into football because of Blue Lock, but I already had an interest in the sport just not much. Now though I really want to play and I regret not pushing hard to start soccer in elementary school, so now I have to start late(17 yrs old)
I used to play football when I was younger but then I stopped because my parents made me play American football but after I watched blue lock it made me realize how much I miss playing the sport 😂
crazy to see this Some what of a sudden all of the world is starting to like football Many of them think that they are superior to us; we have been playing for years now. and this now blue lock thing seems cringe and replacing original people that is OG's not trying to be mean to the fans of blue lock. just to be sure I also watch it, but my message can be understood by the one's who have been playing before blue lock . any ways keep going you "UNPOLISHED GEMS"
@@timmyjoshua276 Yes watched it although it promotes Team work but on the big scale some are involved in the art of playmaking through that anime again not to be rude to the fans but this is my opinion (because no one really cares about it ) anyways they are doing great work bringing football in anime but OG's find it cringe.
Someone told me as a kid my feet were too big for soccer, so I never tried. After watching blue lock, I'm fenna drop $300 on some cleats and get to grinding
The same thing happened with the Haikyuu popularity, at volleyball tryouts a bunch of 9th graders thought they were about to anime style the tryouts w/any preparation. They were Naruto running around the court and they ended up being cut. We had the most kids tryouts that specific year vs the last 3 I was there. It was entertaining tho.
I got into football just a few months before Blue lock came out (the anime). And honestly, doesn't matter the reason, as long as you're into the game, join in!
Ima be real I only started playing again football cuz blue lock but I acctualy really like it and I’m going towards being a pro and now I got 60x better also I was horrible 3 years ago
This what happened to me:so at the beginning I watched Kuroko no basketball then the next year this thing came out and I watched a little bit of blue lock then I started playing futbol
