Bo-Katan's Sidekick: I didn't know sidekicks were allowed to talk Boba Fett: And that's why everyone knows who I am and nobody cares to remember your name
Din Djarin to Bo'Katan: You're not a true Mandalorian!! Bo'Katan: Excuse me?! Bo'Katan to Boba Fett: You're not a true Mandalorian!! Boba Fett: Pshh! Never said I was...
I can kill a Mandalorian and take his armor and keep in my family for 3 generations too. Doesnt mean i am a Mandalorian now. Oh i also have 9000 midiclorian count and can do cool as kenetic telekinesis tricks to. Guess i might as well be called a Jedi. Smh...i wouldnt call myself a mando or a jedi if i dont have training to be one in the first place.
Boba either only helped din djarin out of honour since it was an exchange the Armor for grogus protection he might stay a villain or is going to try to change the underworlds wrongs and fix the flawed system
You are correct and wrong at the same time; as "he is a simple Man(dalorian) making his way through the galaxy." Like his Father ("Don't you mean your Donor?" - Bo-Katan) before him, and willing to smack down uppity "Princesses" to get the job done.
Boba Fett: Big words coming from a former terrorist whose actions led to mandalorians being ruled by an axe-crazy sith lord and the death of her own sister
Colors are suppose to have meanings when it comes to a Mandalorian & their armor, but some of that is Legends. Looking at Boba's Suit; Green is suppose to symbolize 'Duty', though to what or whom is unclear (to the All Mighty Credit? He was a Bounty Hunter/Merc after all). Bo-katan's Blue is mean to represent "Reliability"... I'll leave that be for now... The shoulder is interesting when one looks at all what the symbolism can mean (of wearing one's emotions on their sleeve, considering the left is nearest to one's heart). The base color of the piece is a Marigold orange/yellow; which could in Cannon (for Orange) represents "a Lust for Life", while Yellow (as in Gold) is of "Vengeance" or (in fanon as Yellow) is a sign of "Remembrance". Red is meant for "Honoring a Parent", & with the Mythosaur Sigil on said shoulder painted with should speak Volumes of what Boba believes, even if he comes off as uncaring about. Note; recall that Boba didn't get upset with either of the Night Owls denounced he was a Mandalorian or worthy of his armor. Though he did get in Bo-Katan's face with the "Prince" statement after she spoke ill of Jango with the corrective retort of, "Don't you mean donor?" (hence her disrespecting Boba's claim of who his father was & Jango's worthiness of being called a parent). Even a "simple Man(dalorian) making his way through the Galaxy," that was crossing a line and why his retort of "Princess" was meant to be an equal barb to her - reminding Bo-Katan of her personal short-comings as a leader. (Sorry about the tangent, and might be reading too deeply into) The sigil on the upper right torso is in White, which is suppose to mean a new start. This can lead to a lot of speculations; While in Legends, it may have been explained as Jaster's symbol though as what was it tp mean (Jaster's Clan that Jango/Boba would now be a part of as a Foundling Line, Journeyman Protector's Sigil, that of the 'True Mandalorians', or as something else). The droplet & the grain-stalk can have many meanings, as such I'm not going to get into. The letter doesn't seem to match anything I have found in the Mandalorian font (unless it is mirrored, then there are 3 possibilities), though in the Aaurebesh font it might be a stylized 'Dorn''/D letter. The rest of the Symbolism for this is even harder to give specifics on.
@SonofEyeaboveall Effoff In ways I agree, though this being about five months after my posting. I view (Disney) Canon & EU as one continuity - with Legends having the Grain of Truth until canonical facts are brought to light to confirm or dispel myths of.
"Time to give the fans what they want. I am the new space Santa" - Boba Fett, as he pushes Bib Fortuna's lifeless body to the ground before assuming the Santa chair.
@@hurdleguy8014 Being from a planet doesn't equal being from the same race. If that was the case, then humans and ants from Earth would be the same race. My point is that there weren't only humans on Mandalore and that "Mandalorian" isn't a race. People from any race can be Mandalorians. There just happen to be more human Mandalorians in the era covered here.
@@chromasux2 - Well, it's easy to have advanced technologies and skip over significant inventions that are primitive/simplistic in design/concept. It happens all the time. However, it sure looks like he took some paint/body classes somewhere in recent years. Or, perhaps he just found a decent mechanic/body shop in between their travels. Hard to say. Definitely looks significantly better than the original style he had though, for sure. I really like how he integrated the armor into his newer robes, though, instead of the vest that they used to be attached upon. Looks pretty dope right now, despite a LOT of gaps in-between the armor plate coverage.
As kids we all wanted to be Jedi because they are so awesome, but we easily forget that the Mandalorians could easily take on a Jedi. Mandos are the real badasses of the universe
I've always liked Republic Troopers/Mandos since I love the Weapons they have. As much as I like Lightsabers, HK-47 gave me a huge love for Star Wars Blaster type weapons.
@@declanng7465 With Robert Rodriguez I’m disappointed but not surprised. Jon deserves some blame but the show isn’t over. Mando had some of it’s problems as well
But I didn’t see the scalps or the cape on the armor when Cobb Vanth was wearing it. The jawas could have just removed it to sell it separately. I’m sure the Wookiee scalps are worth a bunch of money considering how hard it is to kill a Wookiee. The cape could have just burned off by the acid. Wookie hair could probably survive acid lol.
Boba: I'm not interested in following a failed leader of a group of tarators whom lied and betray their own families and people for the sake of a outdated ideal, if you were even half the worriers you say you are, Mandalore would have never fallen to anyone, not Maul, not the empire, not your passivist sister, princess.
I got hounded for saying this. My point was "in canon, boba may not be a mandalorian. But He was the very first ""mando"" ever brought into the films, and then they expanded on the history of what a mandalorian is". Man the hate comments i got on that comment made me laugh, i guess they were around in the 1980s and already knew about mandalorians???
Yeah real world wise that statement is absolutely true. The whole mandalorian thing is based on boba in the OT. Canon wise he is not a mandalorian. Not even close. He is the clone of a deserted and thereby former mandalorian who was not even a born mandalorian, but a foundling. He only can proove to be the rightfull owner of his armor.
Aye even back then what Boba was and what Mandalorians are was constantly shifting and being ret-conned. Though imho the worst retcon was throwing out Republic Commando/Karen Travis lore, which is a shame as the music alone was epic.
Why does everyone always make everything so complicated. The symbol on his chest has meaning to him. In Legends it is stated to be his lineage, and that is a decent assumption here. Though never stated explicitly, as such it is an important symbol nothing else. The Wookie scalps are gone because he doesn't have them anymore. He sits on the throne to take over Jabba's empire. These are the simplest answers, and until something is shown to definitively contradict it, that is what it is.
I have heard people saying that Bo Katan's mistrust to Boba Fett might have been born out of the suspicion that he could have been a Clone Trooper impersonating Fett to live his life. And only after seeing Fett's fighting style she acknowledges that he's the real deal
Its funny that you mentioned Jaster Mareel considering when Jaster met young Jango, Jango wasn't a Mandalorian but the son of a Farmer which was retconned later by the game SWTOR when they mad a Clan Fett and made all the voice actors New Zealanders.
I believe he will follow in his father's footsteps and restart the true mandolorians (the enemy of death watch, which is why bo katan was so hostile towards him, because his "donor" was the leader of the true mandolorians) and boba make a guild of honorable mandolorian bounty hunters like his father before him did
@@theskurj6288 Technically no, but having possession of it increases one's odds tenfold just like the Mask of Mand'alor. So it essentially guarantees successorship but isn't necessary
I love how u opened the video and i think boba fett is a great symbol for little things getting bigger and better, to me hes the symbol of the star wars cult following he represents the core fanbase that helped grow starwars, if trying to better himself and leaving his criminal past is behind him is the theme maybe hell try to make tatooine a better place idk itd be in line with his sense of justice
The letter in the Jester Marial sigil is simply the "F" from the Fender logo, meaning that Boba Fett on top of being a bounty hunter also plays bass guitar, what a badass !
His father Jango is confirmed to be a Mandalorian. But Boba doesn't consider himself to be one as he stated that he pledge allegiance to no one, but most of the fanbase believed he is one.
There's a lot of debate about whether Boba is a mando now. I say if it walks like a duck, it talks like a duck, and it smells like a duck, it's a duck.
the sigil on the chest(Journeyman Protector, the organization existed before the symbol) was made to honor Clan Fett when they died refusing to surrender Mand'alor to Tor Vizla, the wheat symbolizes humble origins, the circle represents Resol'nare, the fact that the wheat exits the circle displays actions above and beyond what is called for, the droplet is to symbolize the willingness to spill every drop of blood in battle, and the letter is Mando'a it's the letter roh which is commonly associated with fidelity/loyalty
It is important to remember that Jango is only a Foundling in Canon, as he was born on Concord Dawn in Clan Fett Territory to Farmers of the Clan in Legends .
Jango was a foundling, in a way Boba was a foundling. Yes, while being a clone of Jango and unaltered in anyway, he wasn’t the natural born son of Jango, but Jango fathered him and loved him just the same. Sorry if this wasn’t a clear as I wanted it to be. I saw someone else comment something similar a while back.
He repainted the armor because it’s easier to maintain continuity when he’s your main character. Otherwise they have to keep touching up the “bad” paint job between takes.
That actually makes less sense than keeping dinged up and scratched / scraped. With so much patina, who would notice one more missing fleck of paint? Now that it's re-painted, the studio / costume crews would have to maintain it even better.
Jaster Moriel WAS boba Fetts name before he adopted the name Boba Fett. In the book Tales of the Bounty Hunters it gives Boba's original back story when Episode II came along and Gorge make him a clone that name went out the window then the comics came along and turned Jaster in to a mentor for Jango.
When I saw how Boba Fett met Bo Katan it felted like that Boba Fett was flirting with Bo Katan and her partner saying that he wears his father armor then they argue about it so they start throwing hands
Actually the original story of Jaster Mereel was he was a Sun Guard who was dishonored by Han when Han rescued Chewie, becoming Boba Fett, but even Goerge changed that just to have boba be a clone in the prequels for his own reasons and now this is what we have as cannon
I think the exclusion of the two items (cape and Wookie) brands is much more simply explained. They got lost/destroyed. You can't magically create new Wookie braids and he got used to wearing a new style clothes as an unarmored man, so he didn't need to get a new cape.
I think it would be cool to see them bring back the language of the mandalorians (unless they did in mandalorian, I haven't seen it.) I believe the only thing we know about it was what we learned in kotor though I could be wrong on that.
It was used in both the Clone Wars and in Star Wars Rebels. (Edit) I also now remember how even the written form is shown when Boba shows Din the log of his armor to demonstrate that his father was a Mandalorian.
@@shadowstep1375 It was in the first episode we meet Satine, right as Obi Wan chases a Mandalorian guy with a blaster who speaks pure Mandalorian right as he commits suicide by throwing himself off a balcony. Heck, it’s even the language he gives his last words in, Satine even has the respect to reply in the language too.
"Brand new shiney armor" uhhmmm, if you think that's some brand new armor then I've got a 2022 Tesla Model 3 to sell ya...real cheap too. Just cashapp me...
I don't know if you mentioned it in other videos, but you potentially missed another detail - his classic suit bore a White undersuit, which is now Black. If you go over the traditional colours of Mandalore, he's traded "A New Beginning" for "Justice" by symbolism. His prime colours are Black, Green, Red and Yellow/Gold - Justice, Duty, Honouring a Parent, and Vengeance. So pairing his red with Jaster's symbol is likely the prime tipoff - He wears the Mythosaur, he bears Jaster's crest, and openly bears declaration he's honouring a parent. Some of it's Legends material, but Mandalorians are bound by honour primarily, and this is a big case of Heraldry in action.
In legends Fett killed marrel for taking a bribe. He trained on Concord Dawn as a journey man law enforcement officer. Fett wore his insignia. In legends he was sent to watch Leia and after she knew he would not rape her she asked him to take his helmet off. He asked her if she was cold, she shivered. He took off his cloke and laid it upon her to keep her warm. Then the sarlakk for him. He was just a clone in the legends books. He eccaped in stories from jabbas palace. Great book. If anyone wants to read, read jabbas palace, and tales from the mos eisley cantina. Also tales of the empire is a great group of short stories.
@@gerardocovarrubias1127 After fighting him in ROTJ he would just stand there quietly? I doubt it. I think he would actually react to seeing Luke on the screens taking out all the Dark Troopers and when Din tells to open the door I think Boba would side with him and even tell the others to lower their weapons. He knows this is not a fight they want to be in.
Nope, you totally misheard and misquoting.. "Didn't say I was one" Isn't him saying he's not.. He doesn't care what she thinks/have anything to prove to her. " Did you take the oath? " I owe allegiance to no one" He did, his father raised him as such . his father's clan/family were all killed by other factions.. He's not going to pledge himself/align with the people who murdered his.. That's why jango and him are just "a simple man, making his way through the galaxy" ... Got it?
Remember when he got swallowed up whole by the sarlacc? His armor was found with but it had alot of stomach acid damage. So anything that wasn't the protected plates was most likely digested.
This show fixed the one flaw I had with Jango and Boba Fett. They both died in kinda crap ways, and Boba was worse because he didn't do much, but now he's badass.
I think part of why Boba never repainted his armor before was because a little wear and tear and fading were no great concern to him. But after his time in the Sarlacc pit, it had finally gotten so bad that it needed attention. There's a difference between "This looks well-used but well-cared-for" and "This looks neglected."
All theories about boba end with he’s gonna take Jaba’s thrown and do good things with it and he’s changed. What if he hasn’t really and was only being honorable because of getting his amour back and keeping his word to help. Now we get to see a revenge filled lord of the underworld. That’s the Fett I wanna see. Not everyone we like needs to be a good guy.
It's also been 40+ years. Anybody, especially a soldier or warrior is going to update their armor and gear a few times during that time. Especially if it was lost at one point.
Ever think that the Wookiee scalps just didn’t survive going through the sarlacc pit then being brought upon a jawa sand crawler then given to a tatooine sheriff. Probably just doesn’t have them because he no longer owns them
Could Jaster's symbol be the symbol for whatever division or unit of Protectors he was in? We know Jaster was very much so a man of honor and justice, so it would make sense that he would still respect the basic Protector, as they are actually trying to make Concord Dawn a safe place and aren't the corrupt ones. That's just what I think since we know Concord Dawn *was* primarily a farming world like you mention, but maybe the drop of blood and that character are meant to embody what a Protector was supposed to be? Someone willing to lay down their life for the better of Concord Dawn
You can’t really call boba a mandolorian even tho I love him because he’s a clone of jango if you are calling him a mandolorian then you have to name every member of the clone army a mandolorian also
Two things: 1. Boba seems to be the master of not answering the question directly. Are you mandalorian: I’m a simple man making my way in the galaxy like my father before me. =Not necessarily a no just a statement about himself. Do you follow the creed: I bear allegiance to no man. Possibly Boba saying No but I think it’s Boba saying “I follow my creed” You are no mandalorian: Never said I was. This isn’t an agreement or disagreement, again avoiding actually stating anything in the affirmative. It may be all Boba’s lines were written this way to let the writers of “The book of Boba Fett” choose his personal affiliation. All that’s said in “The Mandalorian” is that Din considers him mandalorian and Bo doesn’t (at very least initially). 2. Wasn’t it said in the comics that Jaster’s Sigil was a reference to the death of Jango’s family (blood drop) and were wheat farmers on a farming planet (Wheat) and descended from clan Fett (the f although I realize it’s backwards) wouldn’t it make sense that Jaster earned his sigil making Jango a foundling the same way Din earned his making Baby Yoda a foundling.
Mandalorians are so damn cool... Like now that they leaked the Sith of the Old Republic are canon and that the Jedi battled the Mandalorians, more and more I'm hoping we get a flashback of Malachor or Onderon when the first crusades began
