That's actually a really smart setup. Like a financial institution without the legal protection customers would normally get. Do exchanges earn interest on balances too? If so thats even better model as most people will hold much larger ammounts for lay bets, trading etc
Now I bet you didn’t look into crypto like I asked you to two years ago. The bull market just started. My positions are in place & Im rotating into stronger positions. Institutional money is flowing in right now & retail still doesn’t even know to look. You just watch the performance of bitcoin & it will track just like the gold ETF & money will rotate into big caps then mid then alts then shit coins. I’m going to have so much fun over the next 18months. There’s still time & as a trader with your skill set & bank roll could make so much money & have so much fun it would be such a shame to potentially miss this once in a lifetime moment. Crypto has the liquidity you need to move size much more than what is available in sports betting. There may be one cycle like this afterward but this could be the last one.
Wow...they use customers deposits for earning money ? Is that legal ? What would happen if their investment one day became a risky one and if some bettors asked for a withdraw of quite large amount of money ? Which clause written in their "Terms an Conditions" would they invoke ?
It's a mixed picture across bookies but the geneal set up is that they hold funds in trust but do that by owing the trust the money. So if they messed up, there could be a major problem.
Banks do exactly the same overnight. I'd be fairly confident they're not buying bitcoin with punter cash :) The money will be held in interest bearing deposit accounts I'd imagine to give a small , steady , reliable profit.
so is there really no one that has been suspended like me for playing too much? they said i have played unusually many hours and just suspended me? like why didnt they inform me before that this was not legal?
It's not illegal and I've not heard of people being suspended for playing to much on the Betfair exchange. Very difficult to comment without knowing your specific circumstances and what you were doing and on what platform. Lots of Bet Angel users bet and trade 24x7, so we would lose a lot of customers very quickly if this were a standard issue. There must be something specific or unusual in your case.
thanks for replying again, can it have something to do with me laying too many bets in a certain period of time? or that i cash out unusually many games? the cash out option being abused@@betangeltv
