In November 1918, the Royal Army Veterinary Corps gained the 'Royal' to their name in honour of their work during World War One. A century on, and the Corps is still looking after animals that serve. But how are the horses and dogs at the Defence Animal Training Regiment prepared for service?

I actually enquired after some dogs who were retiring from service. One was a 3 legged goofball of a German Shepherd and the other was a Belgian malinois who wasn't taking to protection work. Unfortunately, although I bonded with the dogs, the malinois was retrained for another role. I couldn't get the German Shepherd because I had no fenced in yard for the dog to run in.

Can anyone identify the brand of the muzzle used? Seems to offer a good fit with a lot of pant room. Is it available to the public or through surplus?
