How Cake Is Made In Factory | Automatic Cake Making Machine 

I remember the old Microsoft cake game i used to play in my PC during childhood after seeing this. Man , time flies so fast!

I admire the beautiful engineering of these machines.

Just like anyone, I feel that homemade baked goods are always the best. However, when you have to make a mass amount of Cookies, Cakes, Brownies, etc, there's only so much a human can do and that's where the machines come in.

I'm a keen home baker. So I know the value of home cooked food. I'm also an engineer. It makes me a little sad when people say "soulless machines" or "not true artistry". Can't you imagine the amount of soul and creativity that goes into creating a machine like this? Just because it's made of stainless steel and cables and maths doesn't mean it wasn't the work of a human being using all their human artistry. Every time a machine did something in this video that made you laugh because it was clever or unexpected - somebody dreamed that idea up, and then they used all their skills to make it happen. Could you do that? Home baking and cooking, and ingenious food factory machines, can coexist in this world, and both be worthy of admiration.

I'm not a cake person but the technology used is very impressive. Just hope they sanitize these machines regularly.

These machines are awesome but they will never completely replace an artist.

I've got family members who are into engineering and robotics and stuff, and they geek out over videos like this the same way sports enthusiasts freak out over an epic playoffs match up. The work that goes into getting the machines to do that... It's a kind of art all its own.

Gotta say, I had no idea this could be done by machine! I thought I was a terrible decorator! Feeling pretty good about my work now!!

These machines aren't meant to replace artists or bakers. They make sweets more accessible to those who can't pay $60+ for a birthday cake or $5 a cupcake. Difference in taste usually, but hopefully the people you're with help cover up any mediocrity in the cake.

Can you imagine the work back in the old days before the machines making mass amounts?! My mom used to have her own catering company and she was baker manager at Safeway for awhile. They work their asses off!

Is it weird that in all the machine videos I've seen, this one is the only one so far that makes me want to think of machines that would have feelings, an artistic sense, an ability to have fun while working on these cakes?

This would be Willy Wonka's factory in today's century 😆

Indeed, this is an engineering marvel. It serves its own specific purpose. Indeed, it does not replace true artistry.

I supervised the one in hot springs for seven years, until my wife got transferred back to Texas I had to resigned. Every two weeks we would allow to get one during our lunch break. But we would decorated ourselves.

I love the way the machine puts the frosting on the outside of the layer cakes. So smooth and seamless and also how perfect the cursive writing is saying happy birthday. The nuns would’ve been really proud of me if I wrote that good in 2nd grade 😊

This was very interesting. I didn't realize that so much was made by machine, but it does make sense to do it that way.

Gotta admit I'm quite impressed about the engineering it took to design such a device.

Noooo, I needed to see how the strawberry cheesecake with the huge whipped cream dollops were packaged and the chocolate mousse cake slices too. I was also wondering if the cake slicing blades had some type of heating element to continuously make those perfect slices.

Somehow I can't imagine a cake made by machines tasting the same. Totally illogical, I know.

The difference between machine and human is..........the LOVE you put into your work. yeah...a machine can do your work for you, but IF a part breaks down or something goes wrong with the machine.....a pastry chef can DO IT!!! no problemo!!!! I notice how constant and even each item get created, but then....I DO see the chefs in the bakery section at my local Costco, doing the decorating by hand!!! btw.....glad you guys jumped onboard doing this kinda productions......was getting tired watching DOG BH reruns....

The amount of art, science and collaboration it took to design these machines make such cakes. I feel these kinds of machines would be best in fresh bakeries for mass production. It would allow for organic ingredients as well. Mmm mmm mmm. 💜

Dairy Queen has some of their “original cakes” made at the factory. We used them for Displays. The flavored blizzard cakes are made in stores. But 90% of the cakes we made were in store not factory made.

Look, I get the artistry and obvious superiority of homemade stuff. But I could legitimately watch these machines make these cakes for HOURS. I mean, COME ON. It's just not as formulaicly satisfying to watch a human try and do this stuff.
