Georgia got with Kenny for his money, Kenny ended up assaulting Ginny as a result Georgia murders Kenny. Georgia is bringing many abusive men around her daughter. In one of the seasons Ginny runs away & Georgia is too ignorant to reach out to Ginny, Georgia is so competitive in every situation even to her own daughter. Ginny tries to move in with Zion but her mother says no just to spite her. When the mayor tries to help her with the kids she snaps at him, she is trying to get a big wedding despite her fiance saying to keep it small. She is robbing money from the mayors office. She took out a loan in Ginny & Austins names. Georgia is so overprotective yet careless at the same time, this gives a child trauma. Ginny ends up self harming from all the trauma. (I heard someone say that Georgia made a nasty comment about Ginny's scars but I dunno if thats true). In S1 Ginny is still a child with a neglectful mother. I watched halfway though the 2nd season & had to quit because Georgia is repeating the same toxic actions that lead to Ginny's abuse, not to mentions it was dragging on way too long.
Everything except give her grandparents custody. Grandparents who were good people & were financially & emotionally stable. Who would have given Ginny a safe and stable childhood with a consistent home and the best education money could buy. Above all, they loved her & she would have probably seen her dad more often & would have never been around all those dangerous men Georgia brought around her. Georgia knew that's what was best for her. She didn't run off with her in the middle of the night for Ginny. She did that for herself. And idc what kind of justifications the show tries to give for Georgia's murderous ways. If she thought her ex husband was looking at Ginny and was going to touch her, she could have filed for divorce and left him with her kids. She killed him outa greed, not necessity. The first one I could forgive, but not this one, now she is a repeat offendor.An actual murderer. She also doesn't get to put a pillow over someone's face because she doesn't think they're dying fast enough. She is outa control, and now her son has seen her do that. What do you think that is going to do to his mental health. I suppose you are going to make excuses for her in that situation, too.

None of you all grew up with fucked parents that only cared about how they saw themselves. Georgia cares about image. How does she look to others. I was Ginny. (My mom didn’t kill others but did other shit to get her way). On the surface level it seems like Ginny is being ungrateful. But Ginny is reacting anyone else would, she was lied to her entire life, her whole life is surrounded by georgias boyfriends or decisions. Ginny never got to develop her own personality because it was always so dependent on her mother. Then anytime she’d find comfort in anything other than her mother (like her dad) Georgia would always be in the way and Georgia always came first.
Personally I didnt hate her throughout the series, I hated her at first but that was based off of all of the comments being made before I even watched the show

Such a great job she did indeed that ginny almost got assaulted, she was exposed to bad men, and had to hide her mother's crimes from the law, getting stalked by a private investigator, mother being too sexual in front of Ginny, never getting justice for her assault, also was used as an excuse to steal money from the school.
I honestly dont see how she tried to gain Mommy Issues, the Mom was secretive towards her daughter and she was struggling with mental health. yes, georgia did some stuff that could hurt ginny, but she was there for ginny her whole life. always put her first, cared about her endlessly. ginny was sometimes so selfish and made everything about her. when people wanted to explain the situation to her she just stopped listening and blamed everyone others but never her own self. ofc she’s just a teenager and went through some shits, but she always acts like it’s the end of the world. antonia is an amazing actress and she’s gonna make it really far, she played ginny absolutely greatly.
Omg her MOM was a teenager who was RAPED by her stepdad, has trauma from being a bike gang member (gang becoming her family but I mean other things that entail it like seeing death very young and having to defend herself yk), having an abusive husband who literally embezzled money from his company and bragged about it, said husband went to jail because Georgia protected her daughter and soon son from him by getting him in prison, then had to kill her next husband because he was sexually assaulting (touching a minor (Ginny) inappropriately and making her uncomfortable) and she protected her from him instead of being frozen in fear from her own trauma. Georgia deserves a medal and not hate from her selfish daughter that literally lived a life mostly of privilege because of Georgia.

But as a mother she did the best she could, she killed a man for Ginny and she ran away from Zion and his parents just so they didn't take Ginny away from her!
