Maybe if they made gyarados move further while using the left joystick it would be better I think the issue with this ability is not the damage but more that it leave the user vulnerable and also enemies can dodge it too easily

in a patch they reduced the distance gyarados goes while using it

@@raddaylawyer3348 still even if by little, if Gyarados goes this way . Gyarados a is bound to at some point lose connection or sight with the enemy. That's not the issue, sure is bad but the problem is that it makes you a static target and unless you cancel the move or get stunned, interrupted, asleep, etc. There's not much else you can do. The damage potential is high but it would need unstoppable or something for it to not have said drawbacks and buffing that move that way would be extremely dangerous as a full offence build can wipe several mons in just 3 swipes

There is two problems with aqua tail : it makes you too static and it got cancel too easily. There is lots of solutions to that, make it unstoppable, make it like wood hammer trev or bullet seed greedent that you can press the button again to reactivate if you got cancel or if hou hit something for a certain amount of time, make a combo like dragon garchomp that when you aqua tail during waterfall it work slightly different (like an area around you, or being used once between every dash), you can also increased the distance you slide during aqua tail 🤔 this moove need something tbh but when the ennemi team doesn't have hard CC it's still usable

I would rather this move be more like Miraidon's Electro Drift. A move with uses that you can use anytime instead of one after the other, and if you hit enough of these hits you get the enhanced version.

Stop using waterfall with Aqua tail, bounce is designed to work with Aqua tail and works far better Hit 3 Aqua tails then you can unstoppable bounce in and stun, guaranteeing you hit the final Aqua tail

@@MonsieurDDMonsterr No. It used to only stun if the opponent had been hit by dragon breath already for some reason, this wasnt stated anywhere in either move description so it was likely a bug. Now bounce always stuns no matter what

Honestly would be pretty cool if bounce could be use in tandem with aquatail, like while you're channeling bounce you could also just use aquatail during it, making you unstoppable while using aquatail and have bounce be at full charge right after.

Honestly I think it just needs to be faster or immune to stuns. Maybe not immune but you get the point, just some small additions.

Aquatail should have some kind of protection from stun like charging bounce has.

I think it should kinda be like Garchomp where you can do two moves at the same time, and throw out those aqua tail slashes in between your waterfall dashes and still get the bonus at the end

Im a bigger fan of Aqua Tail Gyarados than Dragon Breath. It takes getting used to, since the move isnt as intuitive and easy to pickup as Dragon Breath. Personally I combo it with Bounce, and can KO targets pretty easily, and not have to worry about getting stunned. Aqua Tail to initiate and get the enhanced version, then Bounce in, then enhanced Aqua Tail to secure.

passive regen, walking through goals, most often ko wild pokemon on the way to lanes or on lanes that also gives health

i think dragon breath is just way to good of a move to not use it, aqua tail would be better probably if it wasnt outclassed this hard. aqua tail needs to cast for so long that its just not worth it to use. you made this build look better for sure

I guess the main thing they have to buff this move is faster cast time like Waterfall on Gyarados and Stone Edge on Tyranitar. So far, it worked. Why not this move?

breath gives you alot of damage and faster attack speed and more damage on auto attacks and paralyses the enemies. waterfall needs a buff on the casting time or they should make it able to move during the animation. but even if they do dragaon breath is just way to broken to not use it of they not nerf it

Thematically I think this Aqua tail move actually would’ve fit way better on Milotic than gyarados, milotic has the big strong tail and is a slower pokemon in general, gyarados is such an aggressive pokemon it kinda doesn’t fit him actually as well
