Chris Snr reminds me of my Dad. My Dad has made a lot of money and is successful in his business, but has a very narcissistic relationship with us as his children, where he only recognises us when we go along with him, but the moment u stand up as your own man, instead of support and guidance, he starts with shenanigans. It's fine when ur 21; at 36 it's the reason he and I barely have a relationship, and he barely has a relationship with all 9 of his kids

Sounds rough, what does he do?

@@a.c.slater573 Not sure what u mean. If ur asking his profession, he's a doctor and part owns a network of hospitals. If ur asking what he does as a father it's same old narcissistic stuff where he basically abandoned us for years and concentrated on his new family until the media started questioning his character towards his family so he was shamed into remembering us; plus he disapproves of me being in fitness rather than academia, which he thought I'd go into after I got my PhD so he cut ties with me for a while. Same happened with 5 of my brothers and my youngest brother right now, when they didn't go into what he wanted. But the worst, for me, is his attitude towards my kid, who's adopted. I've never wanted to have kids neither does my wife. But we chose to adopt a child left at our gate and we went to visit my dad and he basically said my son wasn't family, and for me that was the last straw.

Senior wants Juniour to bow to him. No child is going to bow to a parent that was/is not emotionally or physically present. I will say one thing tho, Chris SR will never reach his son the way he is carrying on.

Just the same way we don't know anything about you or your private life. You know nothing about Senior or Junior. The Eubank family are Christians and come from a belief as it's stated in the Bible, honour your mother and your father, that your days may be right onto the Lord. He does not want his son to bow down to him, that's nonsensical. He claims he’s a Christian, if that's the case then he lives by the scripture “Exodus 20:5 CEV Don't bow down and worship idols. I am the LORD your God, and I demand all your love. If you reject me, I will punish your families for three or four generations.” He just wants Junior to listen as he knows more than his son. Junior’s now listens to the majority and not to someone who cares for him the most. As he keeps saying in his Jamaican accent, @Those who can't here, will feel.” What ignorance you utter! What do you mean not emotionally or physically present? It was Junior that asked his father to walk away! Wake up will you!

Well let's be accurate here, Junior asked him to take on a different role. Not walk away. Sr wanted to be head huncho or nothing. Why is that so egregious?
@fiaelle9268

Yeh you carry on too. You must be small minded and ancient if you keep on blindly following that BS. WHY must you honour him if he never honoured you. C'mon now suppin sinting true that don't wash no more. You tho, yu tan dey ina da stranglehold. Not me but you.@@loudhalertrue

Do we think it is grief related by Eubank Sr because he has also lost a son? There is extra sensitivity to Jr separating himself from him.
@Ahijah

It's quite sad looking on the outside they should be so close, the both had to deal with the tragic lost of a son/brother and to keep trashing your son in front of the world and think your son don't know anything in his mid 30's he still needs me is narcissistic behaviour, so many great father son boxing relationship and then we have this one of the worst, even mini Floyd and Floyd eventually got back together after a quite toxic relationship. But Eubank senior has to put his ego to the side and show some humility but he don't look capable of doing that.

Good piece guys.. you mentioned it briefly but for me, Eubank snr mental state plays a MASSIVE part in all this. The guy is clearly unwell and nowhere near of sound mind. Great show as always.. respect ❤

We’ll never know as his father was always there, until now! And now that his father isn't, he’s lost one and won one. So we’re yet to see where Junior really is now.

@@UndefeatedPodcast In the fight with Billy Joe Saunders, Chris Eubank Jr. was relatively inexperienced. It was his 19th fight, his first 12-round bout and Saunders emerged as the winner by split decision, successfully defending his WBO middleweight title. Prior to facing Eubank Jr., Saunders had already been competing in 12-round bouts for two years. Eubank Jr. showed improvement as the fight progressed, showcasing his skills from the mid rounds until the end. However, Saunders' experience in fighting longer bouts played a significant role in his ability to go the distance. Despite the victory, the fight with Eubank Jr. remains a memorable and challenging battle for Saunders. Till this day, it is the fight that he often reflects upon, highlighting the fact that he faced an up-and-coming fighter in Eubank Jr. Groves has always been fighting comfortably at 167-171 and naturally the bigger man stepped in a shade under the Supermiddlewight devision. For Eubank Jnr most of his success was at 157. Groves I believe was just too big. Psychologically, Groves may probably perceived himself as being bigger or stronger due to his natural size and previous experiences. This could’ve provided Groves with a sense of confidence and a belief in his physical advantages, even though he has made the necessary weight reduction to compete in a lighter weight class. The severe cut from the head clash that Eubank Jnr received couldn't have helped. Groves experience was too advance. It is often overlooked that George Groves, who had previously knocked down heavier opponents, was unable to knock down Chris Eubank Jr. As the fight progressed, Eubank Jr. gained momentum and showed his strength in the later rounds, while the initial tempo favored Groves. In my opinion, Eubank Jr. simply misjudged the situation and made some mistakes during the fight.

At the start of Jrs’ career his dad said live on channel 5 that he’ll be living/fighting vicariously through his son. That says it all. Eubank Senior and his ego would never accept a background role.. could be the grievances that are making him act like this because he’s usually quite sensible.. Jah Rastafari 😂

It’s not nice seeing Sr drag his son publicly like that. Sr’s ego is huge and narcissistic it’s no surprise Jr went his own way. Not sure how this relationship repairs

2 black man getting involved in black family affairs! When Jr loses you all 💩 on him. So let Snr do his ting. He’s not trying to lose his son to 💰 Jr clearly doesn’t listen cos he looks up to mayweather lifestyle! If Jr not careful he gonna get mash up by the man who dislikes his Dad.. these promoters are scum. As David Haye what happened when he got knocked out. He’s promoter partied while he lay in hospital with his Girl and 2 friends 😢

I actually think he may have had a better career without his dad. Eubank Sr's whole mantra was about being able to fasttrack his son and save him from the greedy promoters. He didn't achieve any of that. Had Jr been with a proper promoter his fights would have been hand picked and he wouldn't have fought BJS so soon, he wouldn't have gone up in weight to SMW to fight George Groves only to realise there are weight categories for a reason. Jr should have had reached the accolades of John Ryder, who was losing to guys Jr beat when he started off but with a proper trainer and promoter John Ryder progressed to achieve more. Im sorry as good as Sr was, he didn't have a fasttrack and keeping Jr away from proper trainers and promoters was a big downfall. What stopped the GGG fight? Do you know who stopped it? Eubank Sr Eubank Sr felt his son deserved more money and thought GGG would get desparate for the name and fall for that. Jr wanted that fight and although he would have lost his gun-ho all blazing style at that time would have made it a mouth-watering fight for as long as it lasted. I actually think that fight even if Eubank Jr had lost would have elevated Jr because fans would have seen he wasn't just some guy living off his dad's name he can fight. Instead he became a guy known for losing his pen.

You can tell they both love each other. I believe the people around them are influencing their opinions. I wish “Sundays at grandparents houses” was still a thing. Get them in a room and I’m certain they’d resolve any issues.

They may love eachother but I don't think they've ever had much of a relationship outside of boxing. I think it's boxing which has kept them together, and now that the son wants his father out of the boxing picture, we can see their relationship is pretty much non existent

I disagree, whilst I find him entertaining to listen to he seems very narcissistic, egotistical, controlling and overbearing. Me being someone who prides himself in being able to think for himself and move according to his own rhythm, I can understand exactly why Jr felt the need to distance himself from his dad, because if not, he would forever be the little boy who couldn't achieve anything without the domineering father. Contrast their relationship with that of the Benn's, even though the Dad remains in the background, whenever you see them together you can tell there's love, support and pride in the fact that they have each other. Nigel let's his son walk his own path and is there to back him whenever he stumbles. Senior on the other hand wants to put Jr on a leash so that he doesn't stray from, as he puts it, "Daddy"

Bill Haney is the dad we need if we're being honest, Eubank dad still thinks his a fighter and it's the 90's and it's all about him with no thought for his son, how as dad can you trash your son infront of the world ? he clearly don't trust his lack of parenting skills still wanting to be the guy this late in Eubank boxing career!
