I taught my Thai girlfriend to drive, couldn’t believe how quick she learned, is 43 and never drove before, only a motorbike. We found a big empty field and over a few days she got more confident. Then over the next few weeks took it slow on the back roads. After about 2 months she can drive for a few hours and is now a very good driver after 2 years with no accidents 😊

Fah's appetite is impressive 👏 Her petite size is deceiving!! 😂😂😂😂 She is adorable!! I love you two together!! ❤❤❤

I’ll sum up my comment for some who didn’t understand it the first time. Some places get close to US prices. In the ballpark. (Not more.) I haven’t been to the very expensive places in Thailand. I’m sure they’re even more than what I pay. I don’t eat at night markets. Yet! That would be much cheaper. I’m there every 2-3 months. I still do the tourist thing for now.

Anyone that says Thailand is too expensive is either there during the high season, living in touristy areas, and eating in “western” tourist restaurants not local or all of the above. The only thing that may be expensive is the ticket to get there depending on where you’re coming from .

I live in Philippines 5 years now. I still drive a motorbike but contemplating buying a car. My issue is if i get into an accident. The rumor is “always the foreigner fault “. And the possibility of being extorted. Or what happens if for some unforeseen reason i get deported….. so i don’t want to make a large investment in a country Im not a citizen. But for now I’m comfortable driving a motorbike. James your correct its dangerous and hot riding a motorbike. Also my opinion. I wouldn’t allow Fah to drive your car for legality reasons. You’re not a Thailand citizen. If an accident occurs and Fah is driving i assume the either party will come after you….your an easy target being a foreigner….i dont think being a Thailand elite visa holder holds alot of weight…because at the end of the day your still not a thailand citizen
